Even though the game was available some places last Monday, I just got an e-mail from Atlus that the game is now available. I also got one a few days ago that Crimson Gem Saga was "now available" even though it was released a while ago. Does anyone know if these mean anything? The reason I ask is that I'm about to give up on ever getting the copy I preordered at GameCrazy and just pay the extra shipping to order online, but if this means that Atlus has sent out more copies or something like that, I'll wait a few more days.

I think A.R.A.M. is sending these out one we've like, super-confirmed that the copies have shipped, and arrived at the warehouses of the retailer, plus a random amount of time to allow the retailers time to get them from distribution center to individual stores.

It's just our way of telling the Atlus Faithful that a game has been released. Not everyone on that list is constantly dredging through our forums, preordering the games, or even aware of when we release a title, so we like to let people know.

We usually wait until after a week or so after release so we can be sure retailers have gotten their stock.

Ugh, that e-mail felt like an insult. I just came back from my local EB Games, and when I asked them about Class of Heroes they said it was "in transit". They even checked in the box that was their last shipment of the day and it wasn't there. Amazon.ca is sold out of copies, too. It's practically impossible to find in Canada, and shipping from the United States is very expensive.

I ended up grabbing Theresia: Dear Emile instead, because it's another obscure game. Well, at least it isn't like Black Sigil, where EB Games didn't even have it in their system. I won't give up on Class of Heroes though! EB Games said they'd probably get their copies in later this week.

P.S. They did, however, have Crimson Gem Saga in stock.

Just so everyone who can't get a hold of a copy is aware, gamestop.com has Class of Heroes featured on their PSP page.

Now I haven't tried to purchase it through there, but it'd be pretty silly of them to feature it if they didn't have any in stock. Don't know how much they charge to ship to Canada, though. =(

It's a horrendous $15 USD.

But hey, if I really can't find it where I live I'll be heading to Toronto soon, and I know for a fact HMV carries the game there.
