While replaying Persona 4, I've been noticing some interesting things. There are some spoilers:
-When the team was chasing the camera-holding Rise fan down the street, I noticed Namatame's truck on the corner of the screen going towards Rise's place!
-During one of the Devil Social Link events, when Souji is cleaning and hears screaming, I noticed that Atus USA kept the Japanese language for the lady that was screaming at Sayoko.
I remember looking for the truck on my second playthrough during that stalker scene.
I'm sure there's other things I noticed on the second run, but none come to mind right away.

(SPOILER!!!!) text below in white
When adachi came to MC's house for celebration. He, being drunk. declare to Nanako that he's the man with most brain in the police department. That time i thought the dialogue is very out-of-character (because i didn't know who the true culprit is then). After listening to his confession, i realize that it is one of the hints that shows his true nature.

You know the close-up artwork of the characters' faces during battle when they sometimes summon their Personas? Notice that in the reflection of their glasses, it's Inaba!
Not a small thing at all, but I absolutely loved that when you fight the true final boss and the last minute and a half of the song "The Genesis" have that Reach Out To The Truth melody. I love nothing more than when a recurring theme is implemented aptly.
Kudos to Atlus for that.

Wow! I noticed the two things you mentioned earlier, but I didn't notice this one! I'll try to pay close attention to this one next time...
And AuthenticM, I think the one Soushi_Grapple meant is the Moel gas station attendant...

when you go on the school trip to tatsumi port island and go into club escapade (from persona 3) the music in the background is p3 FES which the opening music to persona 3 FES.
also rise says that there was a blackout at the club 2 years ago which could have been due to shadow from p3.
(this is what i get when i replay p3 and p4 one after the other)

The save points. A blue butterfly. I almost fell out of my chair when I first saw it. I see wot u did thar, Atlus.
The entire school trip. My head pretty much exploded when they mentioned where they were going. Also, making Morooka the one who suggested the destination? Priceless, it was like they were trying to redeem him in the eyes of the player.
The "hotel" everyone was staying at on the trip was the love hotel that the P3 heroes fought Hierophant and Lovers at. *cackle*
The music in Escapade being the intro music for Persona 3 FES.
The principal at Gekkoukan High plagarizing Mitsuru's speech...again.
The nurse at Gekkoukan teaching a plot-relevant lesson...again.
Rise mentioning power issues two years ago during a performance at the Escapade. In Persona 3, Shinjiro mentions that he overheard the managar of Escapade talking about having problems with the power as of late (which was due to Hermit).

I actually noticed all of these, except the close-up artwork, that was totally new to me.
I don't know if this is a detail...But you guys ever thought why handmade itens give like 5 point bonus on every status? (Nananko's gift for example). My teorie is because of the feelings which the crafter had for you when he made the item. Another example to back me up are the gifts our girlfriends give us at christmas (right before the *cof* sex *cof*). Since better relationships create stronger personas and give battle enhancement, that's plausible. AND, another thing, in my new game + I received Nanako's gift for acing at the tests, and instead of +5 all status it only enhanced +4...The point is, my Slink in my first playthrough was higher than the one at my second playtrough. I believe the Slinks are behind these bonuses.

and I totally didn't make that link between the power problem from p3 and p4 at escapade.. haha .. awesome tie in.. good spotting it too :) when i went back to go through p3 new game + i could have sworn one of the women in escapade looked sorta like Rise.. but.. considering they ask for drinks.. i passed it off as coincidence.. or my imagination... heheheh not to mention the time/age details.. hehehe

Two things I noticed:

I'm not entirely sure, but this seems an awful lot like an edited version of one of the smaller images to the right. It may even be a merge between more images, or I may be wrong.

This I'm pretty sure of. It seems like a butchered version of the official version you see on the right there.

The butterfly is a reference to Tao:
Once Chuang Chou dreamed he was a butterfly. He was happy as a butterfly, enjoying himself and going where he wanted. He did not know he was Chou. Suddenly he awoke, whereupon he was startled to find he was Chou. He didn't know whether Chou had dreamed he was a butterfly, or if a butterfly were dreaming it was Chou. But as Chou and the butterfly, there must be a distinction. This is called the transformation of beings.
The psychologist Carl Jung referenced this a few times when he was talking about the Persona (an archetype whose meaning stems from the Latin word for "mask"). Persona is the element of our personality that we project to other people-a shell that grows around our inner self.
This was an interesting part of my psychology course because I already beaten P3 & P4 and the way that they inter-twined was pretty neat.
There was a butterfly in P4, it was wither near the bus-stop or across from the book store...

As in, a Persona that corresponds to that character's arcana. For instance, if you have a Magician Persona, you'll be more likely to rank up with Yosuke on any given day.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just noticed something while replaying Persona 4: On 12/6, I noticed that the gang got out of the TV without the help of Teddie, who was missing until the end of the day. Either Atlus overlooked that, Rise knows how to create an exit from the TV world, or everyone just plain knows how to get out.

It's also possible that they know how to get out after Teddie helped them. The game kind of implies that Teddie helps them navigate, but he shows them out of the TV world the first time. I'm sure that after a few times of getting out, they'd pick up on what to do.

My own little notes:
-The oddness of your Egyptian-style history teacher isn't just noticed by you. One of the random NPCs in town talks about her. As time progresses, he is initially scared, then curious, then at the end begins dating her. It was something I missed completely the first run, and thought it was a nifty touch.
-The principal is a gun nut? Awesome.
-I'm no business major, but the hostility towards Junes is a bit odd. It's located on pretty much the opposite side of town, so it's not like the mom and pop stores are being directly overshadowed. One could argue that Inaba is a small enough town where the "invasion" would be felt everywhere. But Inaba isn't THAT small: It's large enough to accommodate a good-sized high school, hospital, and police force with specialists (namely, detectives). It's certainly large enough to handle multiple shopping centers of gravity.

The thing about Junes, though, is that people might cross town just to get to it so they can get their shopping done in all one place, and it might all be less expensive there since it's a large chain store.

Actually, the town I live in has a similar thing with Wal-Mart. Stores closed after it went up, and some of them are getting by purely on loyal customers and good service. Sadly, our electronics store went out of business so now Wal-Mart is the only way to get electronics outside of driving 15 miles to the city. Some people STILL show hostility to Wal-Mart due to stores going out of business.

That's the thing, you don't need that small town to have it kill the economy and close up local stores, but distance doesn't matter much either. Similar to darkrpgmaster's story, my wife's family is in missouri, and there the walmart is a good 20-30 minute drive away. But because it is so remote an area and mostly agricultural (similar to Inaba I guess) the walmart became like "the mall" and so it was a magnet for commerce. Now in their town(and many others nearby) the only businesses that stick are restaurants and other non-competing entities.
even in my home town, which is far larger then inaba, they saw a significant drop in mom'n'pop stores in multiple districts due to wal-mart type stores popping up, and so many locals fought to have additional stores set up in the outskirts where their reach wasn't as successful.
I'd say the threat of Junes is pretty significant considering the trend in consumer buying and the convenience of having SO MUCH in one store, and having (generally) better prices due to mass purchases all at your fingertips.
As well did you see all the RAIN Inaba gets? lol.. who wants to slog in that through the market districts when you could instead hit up a huge store and stay dry. :)
@drkrpgmaster- that sucks man. We have the same problem here in my area. Aside from wally and best buy, almost every local or regional electronics retailer, from budget (Rex's) to big bucks (Tweeter) have closed. Ultimate Electronics also went under within like.. a year.. and they were similar to Best Buy in capability... Walmart does get SOME nice stuff but in general, I am a bit uneasy/unhappy with a lot of their stock (especially tv's).

Mkay, sure. Not gonna debate this schtick.
More goodies: Most people know about the main character's voice acting career, and some may know that Rise's actress did P3, but...
-Yukkiko's voice actress is Rally Vincent from Gunsmith Cats (and Rei Ayaname, but NGE can take a leap). Talk about totally different roles. Not only the voices, but the style and inflections in the voices are different. She's good.
-Yoske's voice actor is Simon from Gurren Lagann. Fantastic.
-Teddie has the same voice actor as Leon Belmont from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. Perhaps Not noteworthy itself, but...

As well the game contains the title theme music from p3, and at least 3 of the dungeon exploring songs from p3 on it. The inclusion of some of this stuff makes me wonder if the "class trip" might have originally included a bit more that was later removed from the story(but not wiped off the disk).

Whoa! Nice one :D I would have loved a Junpei Cameo :D but I think maybe he was put there like for a tech demo or something, simmilar Lisa Silverman's model in Nocturne, the biggest hint is that he is still using his uniform, nice catch though.
Precisely today something caught my attention. Wasn't supposed the Amagi Inn to be an ancient landmark of Inaba? , if so how come the one in charge of it seems to be Yukiko's Mom whose maiden name shouldn't have been Amagi on the first place, IDK maybe she took over the INN after marrying "Mr. Amagi" but since they never (As far as I remember) mention Yukiko's father that makes me think (They only reffer to him indirectly when she talks about her "parents")
Also something that might no be THAT importat is this: When the MC and Yosuke got arrested in Junes for bringing weapons, take a close look at the police officers, they all look like the main character.

The save points throughout the game are blue butterflies flying in small circles. This, as well as the appearance of the butterfly in various animations in Persona 3, are stated by Atlus in an interview in the DoubleJump guide to be a sign that Philemon is still watching over the Protagonist.

because someone said this so i thought so
WAIT.. WHERE WAS THE BUTTERFLY? i totally don't recall that.. maybe i missed it
I haven't finished P3 yet but i already saw this butterfly...At the beggining, at the first anime scene, the first thing that appears is a blue butterfly. Maybe there is a meaning behind this but i still haven't get to that part then.
oh my bad i thought you meant you saw the butterfly in P4..

Mild case of necro here but Since it's only been almost 2 months, it's not complete death I suppose.. especially since with so much attention going towards this franchise, it might find itself very active in the coming few months/year.
Quick Warning: this is just a bit of rambling, as I am noticing a ton of little details this playthrough, so if you are more observant than I am or are not interested in little quirky nuances to the game I'm impressed were taken into consideration.. skip this post :) .
Anyhow, Since my area has been getting a LOT of grey and rainy days over the last few weeks, I've been itching to mess with P4 again. Not sure why but excessively long periods of rain seem to make me want to play the game.. strange...
So yesterday I went about finishing off the last fight of my previous playthrough and did a new game + save. This morning I gave it a new start on Expert mode(which I've never tried).
This is also my first time playing it on my nicer TV and sitting closer up so I can really see the detail on the screen. Playing the game on a 720p plasma 50" tv using the component cable, so it's about as clear a picture as I can possibly get (this is playing on a ps2 mind you). Because of this.. I'm noticing all kinds of little details I originally never would have seen. In addition from digging through the actual discs data, I'm beginning to see just how any tricks Atlus used to create the game's various set pieces.. very clever stuff.
What I have noticed thus far:
Dojime has a remote on his futon/couch next to him on the pillow, which looks like it'd be a match for the cable box(or dvd player?) by the tv that is never used. Meanwhile, there is a black tv remote by Nanako on the table that always seems to be what is used for changing the channel.
To the right of the tv on the little wall between the doors to the back entry and the save game spot is a power outlet with an ac adapter plugged in and the wire coiled under it.. never being used *lol*. Little details like that made me smile, makes that home feel 'lived in'. As well you can see the slip-shot way the MC's tv is plugged in with a powerstrip across the floor and plugged in by the door...
There is actually a pair of Bears on top of the TV with (i think) fish in their mouths. As well the shots on the TV for some Junes commercials shows a cartoon bear in it's bottom right corner, which I also had never been able to see. There is a panda in the kitchen too, and I think one of Nanako's outfits has a bear on it.. Her favorite animal I guess? Makes me wonder if Teddy was actually a manifestation of part of Nanako, which is why he isn't like the other shadows... Though Nanko's love of bears and her connection to Teddy (which is him NOT in the suit) seems significant... somehow..
In Junes there is little Animal deco everywhere. Posters of penguins behind the tv they use to go to the tv worlds, hedgehog cartoon heads on posters, a poster that says "MOOOOOOO" about some tv there.. Animal prints in the food court fencing in the foreground. I had no concept for this but.. it's like Junes is a massive Zoo theme...
In the velvet room Limo, there is a small tv on the left that is always on and it (i am pretty sure) has the weather report displayed on it.
In the liquor store where the MC and Yosuke investigate early on, they have beer kegs stacked floor to ceiling in single width pillars.. lol...
When I saw Chie had a green phone in the anime I thought it was odd. but yeah..she has a green cell in the game too.. *lol*
Also, after seeing the Anime, the bird cages you see in Yukiko's dungeon make a lot more sense. Also the gluttonous amount of red...
Never noticed teddy's ears actually twitch while he is on screen in some scenes (not the 2d drawing but his 3d rendering)
That's about it for now. I figure as I move through the game I may notice a bit more as time goes on..

Holy ####, Gumby. I didn't notice the TV in the Limo. O_O
And I'm sure in the game itself without watching the anime, the obscene amount of red and the cages in Yukiko's Dungeon make sense still.
She feels like a caged bird, and Chie said red looked good on her.
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by that.

Not sure why but excessively long periods of rain seem to make me want to play the game.. strange...I'm kind of the same way. Whenever it rains in my area, I think of Persona 4.
To the right of the tv on the little wall between the doors to the back entry and the save game spot is a power outlet with an ac adapter plugged in and the wire coiled under it.. never being used *lol*. Little details like that made me smile, makes that home feel 'lived in'. As well you can see the slip-shot way the MC's tv is plugged in with a powerstrip across the floor and plugged in by the door...That outlet on the wall is actually used during a couple points in the year. For example, I noticed that a fan is plugged in during the summer.
I also noticed that charms are hung near that spot for a few days.
Heh, like you said, small little details like that make me smile.
There is a panda in the kitchen too, and I think one of Nanako's outfits has a bear on it.. Her favorite animal I guess?Hmm, I thought Nanako's favorite animal was platypuses. I don't remember too well, but I think her piggy bank in the drama CD was a platypus as well.
When I saw Chie had a green phone in the anime I thought it was odd. but yeah..she has a green cell in the game too.. *lol*Yeah, although I think the phones were re-designed for the anime. I know Yosuke didn't have a flat phone in the game, but he does in the anime.

Ahh thanks Saburo. I wondered if the outlet may have had significance, like if the kotatsu was plugged there or something..
I do vaguely recall something about her and a platypus, so I guess that is likely more of the canon, it just sruck me as odd. Maybe the bear is dojime's animal.. hehe... or, even more likely, it's the favorite animal of Nanako's mother.. which kind of makes me smile... and sad.
Original the animal prints for the food court had the same impression as me, that it was sort of a kids area theme. But the fact they continue it in the electronics section makes me wonder. Hopefully as I progress and see a few cut scenes in Junes where the MC and say, Yosuke are working in produce, I'll spot some more.. or not.
I am a bit surprised they haven't switched some of the character's phones out for EVO/Droid/touchscreen apple type phones.. the game says it takes place in 2011 so.. it's not exactly far-fetched. Granted most of these kids couldn't afford one in a small town but.. heck I'd expect Yosuke to have one. Working at the family store and all.. Not a big deal tho, I guess the quaint old school nature of having the flip phones is a better dramatic device, and gives a bit more legitimacy to the fact they're pretty far flung from the city and it's many perks. :)
Going to go mess with the game some more. On expert I have found doing the alt boss in Yukiko's tower without overleveling and pulling out the BIG GUN persona = quick death.. lol

I'll add that gas station attendant(well, more likely when she...) has the same VA as Aigis one.
And maybe Ai Ehabara is a trivia to Jumpei always calling Aigis Ai-chan.

I'll also note that at the croquette shop beside Chinese Diner Aiya, the vending machine says "Atlus" on the side, and on the front is Jack Frost.
There are disks on the surface beside Souji's TV in his room that are Yellow and Blue, so I'm assuming those are P4 and P3.
On one of the social link adventures (so to speak) with Ai Ebihara, you can see Shinjiro from P3. But I thought he died.

And I'm not surprised. Flip phones are cool to open and close! Why do you think I'm still using mine that I got five years ago? :D
But yes, it's not surprising that Yosuke is the only character in the anime with a touch screen phone. It goes well with his modern look like his headphones and his shoes (which you'll notice isn't the school shoes that every other Yasogami High School student wears).

Yeah I just spotted the guy you were talking about, Hero, and it is similar but.. not him. The hat is shaped a bit different and lacks the logo on the front, and the npc in p4 has hair over part of his forehead/face, which is also not right. The outfit matches though, so likely they re-used the body and slapped a different head on to save time.
Oh and I am glad Saburo pointed out the platypus detail, when Dojime gets a present for nanako, it's a t shirt with a platypus character on it. I never would have realized what it was without knowing that. :)
I am not entirely sure but it looks like the magazine by the CM's futon in his room looks like it is titled "Pict-o-Parter" or something, with a guy standing on the cover. I had to laugh, because it made me think " ha! my MC reads magazines about forum geeks who spend all their time nitpicking and obsessing about details for x and y properties.. hey wait a minute....."
Made me chuckle.

Sorry for bringing this thread from the dead... again, but I want to tell some things that I found weird on unusual. You may know a lot of this stuff and some of this may not be "small" but here I go.
-You can fisn Samegawa guardian on december even if the last rainy day was on 11/20
-At the school festival, crossdressing competition Teddie wanted to enter too. I'm pretty sure nobody entered him before and it's quite obvious that they don't accept people on the day competition will start. Seems weird too me.
-At one of the Social link events (can't remember where) with devil, the screen blacked out and Sayoko said some..."dirty things"... after that narrator said "You spent some time with Sayoko" and then MC and the nurse were just standing near the bed...
My question: "WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY DOING?!"
-At max social link event with Naoto (if you are lovers) at your room she will ask something like "how do you prefer my voice?" If you chose "I like it higher" after you beated Adachi, at christmas Eve if you decide to spend time with Naoto, she will show herself in female school outfit.
-At 3/20 when you're saying good bye to everyone if you have max social link with Margaret you can talk to her near the velvet room door, but instead of talking she kisses you instead. Doesn't it seem weird for a grown up women to kiss a high schooler?

-You can fisn Samegawa guardian on december even if the last rainy day was on 11/20I think that's because the bigger fish appear when it's harder to see above water, which is when it's rainy and when it's foggy, like all of December.
-At the school festival, crossdressing competition Teddie wanted to enter too. I'm pretty sure nobody entered him before and it's quite obvious that they don't accept people on the day competition will start. Seems weird too me.I'm pretty sure it's okay to sign up on the day of the competition, which Yosuke did. It's a simple school event after all and not a national competition or anything.
Either that, or Kashiwagi made an exception since she felt confident enough to win the competition herself anyway.
-At one of the Social link events (can't remember where) with devil, the screen blacked out and Sayoko said some..."dirty things"... after that narrator said "You spent some time with Sayoko" and then MC and the nurse were just standing near the bed...
My question: "WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY DOING?!"They were playing pat-a-cake, obviously! :P

Thanks, got some new ones, most of them are not mine though:
-Naoto has a gun even though she's under age
-Why Chie and Yukiko don't wear normal school clothes like everyone else?
-Midnight Channel is supposed to only appear in rainy days at midnight, right? So how come Yousuke or somebody mentioned that the people outside are watching them while they entered the TV World around 3 to 4 p.m.? On sunny or cloudy days, no less? While still on topic, is the time inside of TV World flow differently? Like the Dark Hour? Or is it the world with no time?
-For some reason, the Quests Petitioners seems to know where to find their requested items and from what kind of monsters they're from.
-Christmas Eve. If you spend a night with a girl, after the scene ends, MC just stands at the hall and no sight of said girl appears anywhere. I feel better if the game just skips to the next day.
-There's no uproar or big news after discovering Naoto's true gender. She's supposed to be famous, right?
-How does Teddie revives Nanako from her death? Using Samarecarm?
-In holidays, your team change their clothes into uniforms, whether it's summer or winter's uniforms before entering the TV. Why bother?
-Your friends first meeting with Nanako. They seem too friendly like they have known her for months.

finally came back to messing with p4 again. one small thing i noticed, on 7/26 while talking on the phone that night about the midnight channel, you can see the backside of the oscillating fans spinning blades.. or rather.. you can't. it looks like they used a single-sided mesh so as the fan faces away from the camera the spinning blades vanish completely, then return to view as it turns back around. hehe..
Does anyone know what the little red and white orbs that are rendered over the town map are? they are sort of around Junes... 4 of em..
alsp noticed when you fish during the day the orange kitty is sleeping nearby... i an't believe i always missed that lol

Only a slight necro but.. figured I'd throw down a few more insights to the game as i messed with it this past weekend a bit.
Oh and yeah..spoilers so don't read this unless you've already played through.
Did the dungeon for Naoto and the boss fight. I am actually surprised at the level of detail they had goin on in this dungeon. the "computer console" textures and stuff are actually pretty crisp and clear.
Also in the cutscene when you go home after resacuing her where Dojime and Adachi are there "celebrating" with Nanako, Dojime has a brew in his hand and..gets up , talks a while and walks to bed with it in his hand..cept he doesn't bother to hold the can upright at all. So either the can was bone dry and he knew it or... he was effectively spilling it on himself, the floor and all the way to bed..lol.
Meanwhile I hadn't noticed til this time bud Adachi only sounds/acts drunk (slurring a lot, swaying around) while Dojime is in the room. once he goes to bed, Adachi is all kinds of sober (still red faced though) and still(not drunk-swaying) and.. talks to the MC in a slightly threatening tone that is disarming to catch... then he gets up and walks out perfectly ok... Real creepy. Not to mention how much of a douche he is to Nanako when he starts saying how he is the one who's "got brains" and then proceeds to talk to her like she's completely rock stupid and beneath him... least that's how I saw it ...
And Chie might be obsessed with steak but holy CRAP Yosuke is always citing when they have it on special and offers to treat people... even in his lil cameo when you are at Junes with Naoki Konishi chatting.
Also.. when Chie says "I love you" at the end of her "lovers" social link it.. REALLY doesn't sound like her.. she went from young female to GROWN WOMAN in a heartbeat.. hehehe . though the rest of the dialogue and scene were pretty kool (i'd never completed that as lovers before) .
Also made me pause to see the "death" s.link down by the river with Namatame sitting almost next to her as well. Got me thinking.

I'm am going to go on a limb and say no... it's not possible. What you are looking at is the product of a bunch of fans with technical skills reverse engineering the data on the p4 dvd and changing it so that new scenes could be made. To answer your question, no you couldn't do this on your ps2. It's all custom and run on an emulator.
I'm surprised they managed to get that far with it, there is a lot fo resources to pour through on that disc and finding every bit they could for adachi, and scripting together the sequences is a lot of work. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually do a remix of the game with alternate scenes throughout, an alt ending, and heck.. romances between characters not normally allowed.. lol..

Are they shout outs to other SMT games, like in Nocturne the magazine Hijiri gives you has the fortune telling thing from the intro in If... on the back cover. Could someone help look at what that is?

I think he means when you go to the train station/shopping on a few occasions during s links. Like when you go shopping with AI or whatever. I've looked at the posters as best I can but most of the camera angles ou tthere don't really give you a good view.. so I couldn't see enough on them to recognize the images.
I'm also on my third playthrough with it and this time i was specifically looking for details and stuff I hadn't before now that I can play it on a nice tv. :) I think my last and final playthrough will be in bastard mode, where I will see if it's possible to play the game with NO established S.links (excePt the few story ones you get automatically) AND only using the MC in dungeons, never bringing friends. If all else it'll force me to really create a solid group of persona to use as I progress :)

If you play with that cat outside of Dojima's house enough more will eventually show up. A lot more. This is probably already pretty well-known, but I thought it was really cute.
Dialogue in one of the dungeons (I think the second last one, if you're going for the true ending) shows that Kanji and Yosuke become pretty great friends. I think Yosuke mentions having a brawl with Kanji or something, but the way it's stated is very reminiscent of the Magician's rank 10. It took me a while to figure this one out (about three playthroughs) since I normally keep Yosuke in my party.
Yosuke makes some terrible puns outside of the game dungeon.
I'm also trying to get the mysterious eye to appear on one of the characters. I know it's a topic that's been beaten to death, but I'm still very curious about it.

Then again, I never ever pet the cat in my entire time I've played Persona 4 since I knew that there are better ways to increase those stats.
It took me a while to figure this one out (about three playthroughs) since I normally keep Yosuke in my party.Yeah, I usually keep Chie, Yukiko, and Yosuke in my party at all times as well, so I never do see interactions with those characters in the middle of dungeon crawling. Not to mention that those meetings in the dungeons are very rare and far in-between to. I wonder if Persona 4 Golden will made those scenes more accessible. Those little meetings are one of the many things that I love about Persona 4.

I usually use all male characters in My party which is Yosuke, Kanji and Teddie so I wouldn't know anything about that...I discarded Yukiko when I got Kanji and I discarded Chie when I got Teddie..

On my second play-through, a question came to mind:
How did the Player Character get his school uniform? He's waring it on the train to Inaba. Wouldn't the school wait until he's there to supply him with a uniform? It's not like Atlus never drew him waring anything else.
Another thing that bugs me is when Yosuke buys swimsuits for Chie and Yukiko. How did he get their measurements? I think they would be a bit tight lipped about that, considering they were later in the game.
Why was Rise so shocked about Naoto's bust-line? In the optional scene where you can see her in a dress, it looks like she has A or B cups. Those aren't to hard to hide.

It's not like Atlus never drew him waring anything else.I've wondered about that too, actually. I'm not too sure about this, but I think each school uniform is custom fit for each student? Assuming it's like this, it makes sense to mail it to the protagonist since it has to be made beforehand, especially since he would have to re-adjust if it's not a good fit on him.

Those aren't to hard to hide.I think there's enough evidence to say that Naoto's bust size is the complete opposite, such as the scene with Naoto in the hot springs, or a certain artwork of her in the new light novel about her. I'd say Naoto's just really good at binding them down, and very used to it too considering how much she has to squeeze. ;)

Sorry for double posting, but there's something that I think might make an interesting discussion, and I didn't want to make a new thread for it.
Anyone remember the "Plead the fifth" dialogue option that the protagonist could say on 9/13/11 to Naoto when she's questioning the Investigation Team? It seems a little off considering the game is set in Japan, not the USA. Discuss.

Well I would say it's most likely a slight goof by the localization team, but considering that phrase has been used and in american pop culture for decades, and likely has been seen or picked up in Japan to some degree, they did it as a cultural nod/joke. like "i will be like those americans and "plead the fifth". Cause using foreign catch phrases is just fun. :)

the man on the top left of the screen is Kenji Tomochika the magician arcana from P3?

But I'm leaning towards no because Kenji was the same grade as the the Persona 3 main character, Yukari, Junpei, and Aegis, and they all graduated by the time Persona 4 rolled around. Unless Kenji failed a year. :P

If he graduated though, that doesn't mean he had to leave Tatsumi Port Island / Iwatodai. I'm willing to bet that's Kenji.

Dunno if it's been mentioned earlier in this thread, but when you're about to enter the secret lab, one of the possible responses is "I do not comprehend", which is a pretty nice reference to the computer-like Gale from Digital Devil Saga. Seeing as he was my favourite character in those games, the reference really made me smile. xD

was messing with this game a week or so ago. SOmething I never caught was going to the third floor and meeting the headmaster (and he has a quest! ha). After all my playthroughs, I never caught him.. DUH...
also noticed one of the times you choose to study with Kanji before midterms/finals in the library half the books have pictures of bears on the cover.. and one of the boxes on the top of the bookshelves behind them has a bear on it too.. it's like the whole game is a giant bear-o-rama in almost every scene...

Japan recognizes that right in their Constitution. They just put "plead the fifth" in the localization for simplicities sake.
