I've played sting's yggdra union and riviera and was impressed with their creativity and solid game design, but in the end I barely had the ware withal to finish Riviera and dropped yggdra union rather early in. I can't say I won't do the same with knights (I am very busy, I rarely finish a game) but I will say, 2 hrs in, and this game is outstanding and lots of fun. So thank you for bringing it to the states!

I start playing this game, and hours vanish :D

I drank up every minute of Riviera from start to end and loved the game. Still one of my favorite GBA games.
Yggdra Union was fun and interesting but I ultimatly stopped halfway though.
KitN may be my favorite Sting game though. It just so much fun and so addictive. I'll wait until I finish the game to say for sure if I like it more than Riviera, but so far it has to be one of the best games I've played since TWEWY.

KitN has been such a wonderful srpg experience to me that this has pushed me to buy Yggdra Union and Riviera. Should I get the PSP or GBA versions of them?

The PSP versions have voice and crisper art, as well as (arguably) better music.

PSP version of Yggdra is also nice if, for example, you are not an omnipotent strategy gaming master the likes of which the world has never seen. Seriously, GBA version is brutal, I never managed to get past the Rosary/Roswell battle, while the PSP has easy mode, which is more like "Still ridiculously hard, but at least you can beat it, maybe". Oh also, you can save scum in the PSP game, which is bloody awesome.

I actually found that the PSP version was just as hard as the old version, if only because of the enemies' revamped card powers. For instance, Mizer, who was a joke unit in the GBA version, is a very real and present threat in the PSP one because of the revamped Thunder Arrow card. He can toast you whole group and not only heavily damage their morale, but he'll also leave them paralyzed, and he'll do it to your WHOLE GROUP.
I'm still not far enough in KitN to say whether it's as great as it seems so far, but I certainly still have my complaints about the game. It's not perfect like YU, but it's still pretty great. And of course, the art direction is fantastic.

Never played Yggdra Union, but what I played of Riviera was very dull - neither the story or the gameplay could hook me and a gameplay hook is extremely important. Knights in the Nightmare has proven to be much, much more interesting.

The art direction is indeed awesome. Hell, if nothing else the Tome of Lost Souls is worth it on its own, it's like a huge collection of awesome fantasy archetypes. It's actually my first St!ng art book, and I'm regretting never getting the Yggdra one, since Yggdra is such a fantastic game, and I really want to see Gulcasa's concept art.

Thanks, some psp games have scaling issues when they're ported from older consoles. I'll pick up the PSP games next time I hit gamestop.

^ Also, you can play through the PSP version of Yggdra Union the first time without the knee-to-groin difficulty the GBA version starts pummeling you with on the third map.

I actually found the GBA version of the game brand new, still in the box sealed at gamestop and bought it. I don't have a psp right now as I sold it a bit back, but I'll pick up the other version when I get my dissidia final fantasy psp :P

The GBA version of Yggdra Union will give you a few extras on KitN if you plug it in your DSLite/DSPhat.

What about the Riveria GBA game?
I want it, but it's expensive. I got Yggdra union pristine still sealed for 34$.
