I have two friends with herpes.

One got it from her first partner ever, the other figures he got it from his 4th.

WHAT HARLOTS!

Futomimi
06-09-2008, 05:12 PM
My point was that the "gross" kind of herpes is still pretty easy to catch, and you can go without the symptoms for a while.

Oh, no doubt. I'm not saying taking precautions is a bad thing, and people should be wary.

It just bothers me when people start labeling others as being whores or sluts just because they have a form of herpes. Chances are they inherited it from their parents, and those who label others may even have the disease themselves, and not even know it.

Oh, I see. I didn't mean it that way, though. I meant that I know/knew a lot of people that don't use protection, and think that it's OK as long as they don't get pregnant... and usually their method of making sure of that is pulling out, which is just stupid thinking in itself.

That's one hell of a condom to scientist ratio they got going on. Who knew the cold and isolation would make science so freaky.

Sanctine
06-10-2008, 08:25 AM
Scientists have sex?

Sei
06-10-2008, 09:28 AM
Uhm, that is only 132 condoms per scientist, If they used 3 condoms per opportunity for intercourse, they'd be having sex 44 nights total. That is once every 9 days. And they probably overshoot the amount of condoms to make sure they don't run out. So probably less than that.

Now if you look at the following about page http://www.indiana.edu/~kinsey/resources/FAQ.html of which accuracy I am unsure, the average for age groups is as follows : "18-29 year olds have sex an average of 112 times per year, 30-39 year olds an average of 86 times per year, and 40-49 year olds an average of 69 times per year".

Unsure of the ages of the scientists, but they don't seem to be having that much more sex than average for people locked in a dark cave at the end of the world.

Kakizaki

I'm afraid part of the retrieval process is a little too comical to believe. I tried a flashlight -- no I'm not kidding. I have no idea why I thought that would help us. We didn't know what to do so we went to bed in kind of a panicked state. While laying there, she kind of "felt" it move and extracted it. I was afraid she would get toxic shock or something if we didn't do anything about it. We got kind of lucky.

06-13-2008, 06:06 AM
I don't think they should have been arrested, but I've been to a few graduations in my day and at every one, the audience was specifically asked to hold the applause until the end. At every single one, many people ignored those instructions which to me, is flat out rude. You're usually in a hot and stuffy gym and everyone just wants the hell out of there as quickly as possible so everybody is going to be extra-irritable as it is.

I just wonder why anybody would continue to cheer after seeing one or two escorted out after doing so.

Futomimi
06-13-2008, 08:16 AM
Yeah, I agree that it is pretty damn rude -- especially to the friends/family of the person whose name is called next, because they don't get to hear it. As tacky as yelling at a graduation is, though, it shouldn't be a cause for arrest.

A clue that they didn't have the mental capacity or attention span for the job. A proper screener would have asked long questions with lots of details and if the subject showed dwindling interest he would have been released and the next candidate would step up.

Taken from yesterday's New York Post (a terrible terrible "newspaper"):

British labor leaders are fuming over a meat-processing company's new rule forcing workers to clock out every time they have to use the bathroom.

"It's outrageous that in 2008, workers should have to endure the indignity of clocking out for toilet breaks," said one union official.

Even a simple restroom run can be time-consuming for workers, who must remove their rubber boots, overalls and hairnets each time they go.
That's ridiculous. It's only a matter of time before this #### starts happening here. Really, I'm surprised it hasn't already.

The Rainbow Family Gathering is taking place about 45 minutes north of where I live. This is the latest incident they are responsible for.

These people define disgusting. I live in one of the larger towns here and there are hippie beggars lining the streets and roaming through the local stores. A couple of other notable facts:

Being caught pissing on the produce at a local grocery store(onhe ones I shop at). When the people were busted, all of it was thrown out. THEN, there was a group of them arrested for raiding the dumpsters for the fruits and vegetables that were thrown out.

Forcing the boy scouts to have their camp elsewhere because they refused to leave the campsites the Boy Scouts have had reserved for over a year.

I seriously can't wait until they leave. Most of the locals are also feeling the same as me.

07-10-2008, 11:11 AM
Ha, the ####. Don't be so ridiculous.

Excuse the bit of digression. Liberalism does not work, of course. Though,

despite the minute possibility of rescinding, in accordance with Sei, the second amendment was ratified, if anything, as a preventive measure for citizens from being tampered with by a tyrannical government. We ought to be predisposed to the threat of the abovementioned, as a purveyor not of security but rather of paranoia and misguided beliefs (which it seems you've bought), rather than whomever you're alluding to, be it 'terrorists', illegal immigrants, or the boogeyman.

Moreover, though without that certainty, this is not an offensive between the rhetorical 'us' and 'them'. This is a world where people espouse particular beliefs as absolute fact, and the contrary. Just 'us'. An enemy is nothing more than the fabricated threat between beliefs.

Moreover, the ideological 'fascism' of -our- country, is the dominant political gamut of essentially all modern, imperialistic, industrial nations, tenfold with the indifference of its citizens. I personally divorce the two.

Point: Knowledge is power. Its very deprivation induces the cycle of folly, as you say, that is perpetuated in our society which profits vastly from it. Engage in struggles for heightening consciousness - a modest proposal.

I suppose we are patiently awaiting six dollar gas to incite the romantic aims of a bourgeoisie 'revolution'. Ha.

An outspoken Long Island gun owner's home was raided by Nassau County detectives, who seized two dozen weapons he lawfully owns just one day after Rep. Carolyn McCarthy's office made a 911 call about him.

Freeport resident Gabriel Razzano claims he was targeted in the spring raid for his "unpopular" political beliefs.

He's now filed a $5 million federal lawsuit against the Nassau PD and McCarthy, charging they joined forces to strip him of his guns unconstitutionally.

The case pits Razzano against McCarthy, the most outspoken gun-control advocate in Congress. A crazed gunman murdered her husband in the infamous 1993 Long Island Rail Road Massacre.

The flap arose on March 19, when Razzano visited McCarthy's Garden City office to discuss an article about an illegal immigrant who was deported but was later nabbed in Freeport for the attempted murder of a cop.

"The office staff felt that Razzano's behavior was disruptive and threatening," said Lt. Kevin Smith, a police spokesman.

Razzano's home was raided the next morning.

Did you actually pay for that, Dual? Also, while I found you, you go to the Capcom boards, right? Go find out what's up with the Okami covers we're supposed to be getting!

I didn't even know they were charging money for PC games online play. Lame. Hopefully no more charge for Xbox live either. But what's up with this? Did MS run out of hats to keep their money in?

I thought I read somewhere they were mailed out, but I haven't heard of anyone getting one. I hope they do something to keep them from getting damaged. I love how my postman takes anything with "Do not bend" written on it folds it in half and crams in my mailbox.

I didn't pay for it, but I do pay for Xbox Live on my 360. I'm curious to see if they make it free, what they're going to do to people with months leftover.

Also, I have no idea, I've pretty much quit the Capcom boards. They remodeled them without adding a lot features (a lot, the forum is insanely half-assed now), made them slower by adding flash banners and tons of needless garbage, and promoted a bunch of regular users who are total ####ing idiots into moderators (like PortugeseAgent, who can hardly speak English and acts like an elementary school nerd with a hall monitor badge in a cartoon). 4,000+ posts and 7 years of being registered down the drain, the place is #### now lol.

"Kids in Congo were being sent down mines to die so that kids in Europe and America could kill imaginary aliens in their living rooms," said Ex-British Parliament Member Oona King.

So where's the connection to Sony? According to Toward Freedom, during the 2000 launch of the PS2, the electronics giant was having trouble meeting consumer demand. To pump out more units, Sony required a significant increase in the production of electric capacitors, which are primarily made with tantalum. This helped drive the world price of the powder from $49/pound to a whopping $275/pound, resulting in the frenzied scouring of the Congolese hills known for being ripe with coltan.

Sony has since sworn off using tantalum acquired from the Congo, claiming that current builds of the PS2, PSP and PS3 consoles are sourced from a variety of mines in several different countries.

But according to researcher David Barouski, they're hardly off the hook.

Or maybe this belongs in the console war thread..? :(
