Art (unless you're already dead) hardly ever pays well. But, even if it did, doing that to your own body is grounds for being institutionalized.
Eh, sort of joking.
That aside, I do believe that she will get more than a little name recognition from being on every form of media 24/7 when they hear of this, plus the protests of whoever objects to this display, will probably keep her name around for a years to come. If that doesn't make her head of some avant garde movement, I dont know what ever could. Well, other than talent and dedication and things like those, I suppose.
But shock works, as well.

I dont think so. The dud built this crazy place that was behind a hidden 600 lbs door. I think the wife believed it all. The dude made up the story of the daughter being a runaway with fake letters supporting it and then once in awhile the kids would show up at the door step with a not or something saying she couldnt raise them.
The kids that lived underground, besides the sick one, were in surprising good health. This is just way to wild...

That's very scary stuff, Olethros. How often do these types of cases come up?
Fairly rare. I'd have to dig up data to give you exact numbers, but it's certainly not common. Also, it's ugly as sin and disturbing, but only lethal if it's left to cause pressure on internal organs or, as in the top pick, grows way too rapidly.

Really? How odd. I guess I just can't see how anyone would think this was a great idea. :?
It's obvious really, the best way to protect freedom and liberty is to take it away and put it somewhere safe. This prevents the terrorists from taking it away.
It's an outdated, pre 9-11 mentality spouted by the far left that keeps the world in danger. When everything is run and overseen by the freedom party of America, everyone will truly be free. Iraq and Afghanistan, and the previously free countries of Cuba, Iran, and Haiti are but examples of the prosperity and freedom that awaits the world if it was just to embrace this truth.
Didn't Franklin once say: ""Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve both Liberty and Safety." ?
But I digress.

I read somewhere ~45% of the world has at least one form of herpes. Most people don't even know.

Herpes is actually a LOT more common than people think, though thankfully HSV-1. Hell, you might even have that, Mimi. Even I may have it. Sometimes people go their whole lives without having a single outbreak.
HSV-2 is a lot worse, and thankfully, it's not as common. HSV-2 is the "gross" one.
Futomimi
06-09-2008, 03:31 PM
Yeah, I knew about that. Even pityriasis rosea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pityriasis_rosea), which I've had an outbreak of, might be a form of human herpes type 7. If that's true, they calculate that it's about as common as chicken pox, and its symptoms only show up in 3% of the population that has it. (I would link to where I read that, but it was about a year ago, and I forgot).
My point was that the "gross" kind of herpes is still pretty easy to catch, and you can go without the symptoms for a while.
Sanctine

Oh, no doubt. I'm not saying taking precautions is a bad thing, and people should be wary.
It just bothers me when people start labeling others as being whores or sluts just because they have a form of herpes. Chances are they inherited it from their parents, and those who label others may even have the disease themselves, and not even know it.
