That's a real shame.

Not only is the artwork incredibly beautiful, but it's also neat to read the thoughts of the different artists and see how they were in agreement or disagreement with each other.

In addition the book has a lot of information. (It is not spoiler-free). And it's a nice reference if you like to transoul, since each knight has a mini-bio that has info on their friends and relatives.

It's definitely not the same, but perhaps Atlus could publish a digital copy or give permission for someone to scan their book. I know Double Jump Books doesn't mind redistribution of their strategy guides and digital copies as long as people aren't making money off of it.

I'm sure it may see it's way to ebay or amazon... Though it sucks to have to pay for something that was initially free.

Limited things tend to go up in value when demand outweighs supply. You had several months to pre-order. Sorry.

You know some people did pre-order the game but never even got the art book even if they did so 1 month in advance... Like me... :(

But you know i heard some people did get an art book about 1 month after luminous arc 2 came out with their artbooks. Amazon did have some spare artbooks to give out given that you are going to buy the game in the first place.Maybe they will do the same for this game?

I felt so dirty when I got my art book ='( And not in awesomely sadomasochistic way, either: for the first time I didn't pre-order an Atlus game I wanted because I managed my time horribly and the week I gave myself to pre-order saw me busy with some personal stuff.

Anyway, it took only two trips to find the game: my usual GameCrazy only had one and it was reserved. Naturally, of course--as is the hivemind of these workers--I was bludgeoned with the, "You should have pre-ordered, man." "You kinda have to for smaller games like this," etc.

Gah...I know, goddammit.

I then went to GameStop and purchased it there. I asked if they had spare art books (One guy then took out an art book and said "This? Yeah, it's pretty cool.) and the guys double teamed me (and I did not enjoy it one bit...oh-ho-ho-ho-ho) by saying I "...should've pre-ordered, dude." Then they ask me if I want to pre-order Kingdom Hearts however-you-pronounce-it Days and when I said no, they say, "You know, people like you never get anything."

Ugh...

Anyway, I went to another GameStop and asked if they had any spare art books and the guy was kind enough to check and gave it to me :D Maybe I was familiar to him, though, since I always see him when I go there and everytime I ask him something, it's in regards to something niche. Maybe he knew I'd appreciate it...meh, who knows! I'm glad I have it, though :D (Still feel kinda bad, though, since I didn't pre-order and usually do...FORGIVE ME, ALMIGHTY ATLUS!)

Yay, storytelling!

Anyway, does anyone else really hate conversing about video games with store clerks? <_< It's like, Jesus freakin' Christ, just gimme mah game! Admittedly, I have come across one or two exceptions where I was genuinely surprised that they knew what it was I was buying!

Oooooh, another one is hearing someone else talking with a store clerk...I don't know why, but sometimes it's just like, "Ugh." It doesn't have to be about video games, either: when I got my art book, the store clerk mentioned the new Star Trek movie to his coworker and a customer started talking to him about it and repeating stuff he had already said! AAAAAAGHHHHHJBSJBkdsfgwqfhwjefporqgw!1!!1! Like, "Yeah, if you go in expecting" this "and" that "you'll be disappointed, but it's decent overall.

Yay, ranting!

When I get that bit about pre-ordering from a GameStop employee, it's all I can do to restrain myself from just going berserk and strangling them.

In regards to employees asking if you want to pre-order... They're just doing their job guys, don't hate them too much.

But I can understand why you'd be mad if they TELL you that you should've pre-ordered. It's like they're chastising you or something so I understand that.

The funny thing is I'm ALWAYS hearing complaints about Gamestop, yet the ones I go to never seem to have these problems. :S

I honestly don't mind a bit if i'm in the store and they ask me if there is anything i'd like to preorder.. it's when I call and ask them if they have something in stock and they ask me if I preordered, and then rub it in my face if I say no. It's like - I have money that you aren't getting because you don't have what I want.. who loses in this case?

I will go somewhere else, and you won't have my money.

But I digress... the topic is about the Tome of Lost Souls... it is great, and really well done. I hope that people who didn't get one, find a way to get one and for not much $$$ cause it is quite worth it.

Ahhhh.... yes I understand. They shouldn't do that especially since it appears to backfire on them and they lose customers.

Indeed, it is a great artbook. I carry it with me to class so I can look through it, and while I was aware there were spoilers in there, it actually helped me to understand the story a bit more.

I know the manager at my local Gamestop, and have a cousin that is friends with another store. So I don't get those comments... Though evesdropping on others... It is annoying. "Did you have it pre-ordered?" "No?" "You DO know it came with Such'n'such, right...?"

Nope. Had a chat with the Manager on that approach, and at least at that story they steer clear of such...

But it sucks that such a gorgeous ArtBook is not an option for many whom pre-prdered. There the contradiction lies. We can only hope employees didn't steal boxes of it only to resell later...
