I think this game will continue to get a lot of attention, especially as E3 draws to a close. I also think that reviews have failed to capture the essence of this game. I thought it might be helpful for people looking to learn more about the game to hear from fellow gamers particular points of the game - good and bad. I suggest that replies be posted with the title "Praise" or "Complain" of something that will allow others to quickly look through.

PRAISE:
I think Knights does an excellent job with giving you multiple ways to view weapons. I think being able to cross-tabulate across classes and elements allows you to quickly make sense of what weapons you should bring into battle.

COMPLAIN:
Having to beat a level usually three times through without saving to get everything. It is extremely hard to break all the grass, boxes, vases, etc. on every stage, and maybe it would be fine if I only had to do it twice, but three times? Come on.

Ship my dang copy Amazon, so I can get with the praising! *shakes fist*

Praise : Too much to even begin to mention. Maybe I'll try another time. :)
Complaint : My only complaint so far is that the story text between missions advances whether you like it or not, and if you don't read it quickly in places, you will miss bits of the story.

COMPLAINT:
The story just doesn't make much sense (yet?). Okay, so this girl stole the stole from someone. Now let's show you arbitrary clips of dead knights! I guess the present scenes make sense, but what's the point of the past ones? To give the 200+ Knights some dialouge?
Note that the only reason I'm all complaints so far is because everything else is just so good - the extremely detailed artwork, the gorgeous dialogue, the amazing battle system, the high-quality pixel art...I love this game so much I typed out every credit in the artbook onto GameFAQS! Took a good thirty minutes, too.

Praise : The game is truly like nothing I've ever played. The art is beautiful, and despite the complexity, they stopped just short of making the game overwhelming.
Complain : I agree that the text goes by too fast, and I could do without the beeps that play as a character speaks. Also, I really wish that the DS had higher resolution screens to show off the graphics.

On that note,
PRAISE: The little beeps when the characters talk change depending on if it is a manly guy, or a petite girl. This adds a unique quality to all the characters, and little details like this make me love a great game even more. Also, has anyone notice the little Fly on the Save screen? If you touch it with your Stylus, he screams.... It's gawesome...

PRAISE:
While the story isn't groundbreaking, I like the way the narrative shifts in time giving you a little backstory on the ghost knights that take part in your battles. It gives them substance in the game rather allowing the dead knights thing be a gimmick.

Praise: I'm really enjoying the game so far, plus the fact that I can train if I get stuck in a Dept. Heaven game is really nice.
Complaint: I haven't been around for a while, so I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but my insert looks like it was printed on low grade recycled paper and my chip won't fit in the holder. I just slides right out. From a collection standpoint it sucks, but it doesn't hurt the game itself.

Complaint: Not really much of a complaint, although I would have liked to use the button control scheme more that the stylus. Being old school, I would have at least liked that option.

Do you mean to scroll through lists and such? Cuz I don't see how the game would work with button controls...
Praise: Insanely addicting, learning curve is NOT as bad as most are making it out to be, each knight has their own personality and backstory, and you learn something new about the game each time you play.
Complaints: I'm taking summer classes and it's distracting me... the class I mean :] The story is a bit ambiguous but it's not hard to piece everything together, but other than that I have no real complaints about this game.

I'd see it as being one of those 'L' button held down to control the Wisp. It would just be a pain to program such toggle. Which is why I said 'not really much of a complaint'...

I still don't see how moving a cursor with the d-pad is remotely feasible. :( THIS IS WHY I DO NOT PLAY RTS'S ON CONSOLES

The story not only involves events that are transpiring during the game, but it also involves things that happened in the past. Things are happening in those "past" cutscenes that are going to impact the story. I mean, as early as stage 4 they're giving you added information about what's going on re: the first boss.
My only real complaint is that I hate having to sacrifice named units, especially if they have personality and story. If you want me to throw them away like cheap candy, don't give me names and faces and make my OCD kick in. Although, I guess that's the point the game is trying to make; that you have to make tough decisions like that. But I still don't like it :(

O YEA! Sacrificing knights who then proceed ASK you what they did wrong as you sacrifice them. My conscience can't handle it because I'm weird like that haha.

Praise: extremely addictive, best DS game I've played this year so far. Not nearly as overly complicated and hard to understand as some reviews claim. there's a difference between complicated and deep. There is a lot to the game but I don't find any of it any more difficult to figure out than a standard tactics game.
Complain: Story is very confusing at first but it seems to be starting to come together (on on act. 9). Accidentlaly activating a knight on the way to use one of your items can get annoying, but I guess I just need to use the L button more.
Just curious; how do you guys decide on how or when to sacrifice a knight? I'm starting to get a stock of them and I've only sacrifcied one so far.

I'm starting to get a stock of them and I've only sacrifcied one so far.Well, if you have a particular Knight that you like and find useful, it would probably behoove you to sacrifice units to keep his VIT up and to boost his stats in general. You also generally don't need redundant units(Do you REALLY need a unit of every Element for each class? No, no you don't) or non-elemental matchups(if you don't have any strong Ice Axes, you probably don't need an Ice-elemental Warrior.)

Good points, I'll keep it in mind when managing my Knights form now on.

Praise: Incredibly lush and detailed hand drawn visuals. Game is very stylish, and the typeset, color choices and atmosphere are all very well done. Skills, characeter sprites and animations are fantatic. The games presentation is absolutely top notch. The sound track is really unmatched on the ds, considering they are all new tracks. (I know chrono trigger has better music, but it's a remake.. this is an original game.) The battle system is absolutely amazing, incredibly intuitive use of the touch screen and it brings a fresh new feel to the SRPG that I've never felt before. This game inspired me to go out and buy Yggdra Union and Riviera because STING is a fantastic game developer. The replay ability is intense, the battles are full of adrenaline, and the tactical aspect is smart and tough. The game is overall fantastic and goes into my favorite handheld games of all time. EXCELLENT tutorials. They really make the game playable. Sorting, fusing, organizing, strengthening, breaking down of items and transoul make this game so deep I don't even know where to begin, and thats what makes an amazing SRPG.
Complain: The story is great, but the storys presentation to the player is a little hard to follow. The sounds the enemies make and the voice acting in the game is pretty bad. ADVERTISEMENT! This game is really great, I would of loved to see it get more reception and marketing. I know a popular video games message board where I regular is incredibly pumped to play the game, if it was advertised more you would of seen significantly higher sales.

Praise: Nice animations, awsome to do that 2000+ dmg, great diverstiy, great bosses, nice art.
Complain: Story confusing, numbers/stats confusing (have a bloody hover over info box...), Extremly annoying to control and move characters only characters with skill attacks that make it move is the only open to move a unit, key items becomes excessive and just make you worry more about those then the enemies.

Praise : I think the game play is unique and I think the visuals are stunning.
Complain : I hate watching movies that start in the middle and then work their way backwards as the story advances. The fact that this game does that as much as it does has caused me to put it down for a while. I really want to be able to make sense of the story but I feel like I need a good block of time to play through several scenes to keep it making sense. I also hate the mechanic of sacrificing one soul for another to keep them going. Making all the characters temporary makes them feel more fleeting than anything. I'd rather have a story that takes an ally from my party because of a story arc rather than because I had to offer up Mary's soul so Sally's spirit could go a few more rounds. Guess that's just my conscience on that one.

Also, if you're like me, you may not want to spend extra time destroying everything on a map to get items, so there's a chance that your weapon selections are lopsided, meaning you have weapons that require higher level knights. If you happen to recruit, let's say a level 20 Wizard and already have a level 16, the transouled Wizard will probably bump up to 23 or 24, maybe making more weapons available to you.

I just completed my first play-through on normal last night. It was a rewarding experience. Bosses got pretty tough towards the end of the game. I can't wait to try the game on hard, but I'm going to take a break since I'm burnt out from the first time through.
My only complaint is that the story was a little confusing while you're playing through the game. It's only after when you sit and contemplate on it that it all makes sense.

PRAISE: I appreciate the effort to make a unique SRPG. KitN is currently my favourite DS game this year. The music is excellent.
COMPLAINT: I find myself performing unintended actions, due to all the stuff happening on the screen at once. For example, I might end up selecting a unit to attack when I was just trying to avoid bullets. Now that I think about it though, I forgot about the shoulder buttons. I should try using them more often...
