View Full Version : ....Well, damnit...
There's no "drop x to get the item you're supposed to get" in this game? I just spent a damn half/full hour resetting and trying the darn gambling for the heirloom quest and FINALLY got it... only to find out I didn't get the item. And then... it hits me (of course because you can't check how full your inventory is till you get back to town, it took a bit to check)... my inventory was full. That's going a bit too far into archaicness for the sake of it, IMO. Bleh. Off to slowly sell these darn daggers one by one to get room, then do this darn event again...

Lol that sucks man. The devs definitely should have taken a cue from etrian odyssey. It's all about being retro without feeling archaic. You only want to keep the good. games have progressed a lot in the past 20 years. if you wanna make a wizardry throwback, take out the crappy parts. and leave the good untouched. I would've loved to see this have a lot of EO features but keep the look and feel of Wizardry. that would have kicked ass. :)
alas this is still way more fun to play than knight of diamonds for NES IMO.

I dunno man, if I was going fishing for an item in a random chance section like that, I'd go there straight from town with an empty sack just to make sure I could get it. What were you doing in the gambling hall with a full sack of goodies anyway?

Well it is a 'Truly Classic RPG'. I suppose this was taken almost completely literally...

In most interactions, you can back out of an event, drop some items, and then search again. However, this is for items you find on the ground. Items given people may work entirely differently.
Anyway, you can count items in the dungeon. Just open your backpack and count how many items are in it. It's kinda tedious, but it probably only takes half a minute.
