I think Messiah had the most amazing design, in context, but the Persona I used most throughout the game was Black Frost followed by Pale Rider. Black Frost was also my best/most used demon in Nocturne as well.

Well, I have a few favourites. I like Lamia, because she just waves her hand, and has a possibility of causing instant death to all foes. Cerebrus, because a dog could also cause instant death. Koromaru can be pretty scary. I wouldn't want to get on that dog's bad side. Artemisia, because I like how she pulls on her whip, when Mitsuru uses her. Abaddon, because he's also pretty scary. I mean, he's immune to physical attacks, absorbs strike damage, and has a chance of countering attacks. Medea, because she's all powerful. Trismegistus, because he's a cross between Hermes and Medea. The Messiah, for his imagery. Hey, he's very symbolic to Catholics. Mind you, I very rarely go to church, but that's ok. I wasn't a good Catholic to begin with. Jack Frost, because he was useful for most of the game. Surt, because he has Ragnarok, which is awesome. Michael, because he's the ultimate balanced Persona. Attis, because she had Samarecarm, which is a useful skill to have. Also, I like the way she spins, when she's summoned. Well, ok, I have more than a few favourites, but whatever.

My favorite would be Titania. She was a great healer and offensive Bufu spell user.

But if this is only restricted to the exclusive Personas (not the recycled demons from the other games), I would say Nemesis.

Actually, Shikome was pretty useful early in my playthrough, because she had no elemental weaknesses and I was able to fuse her with a healing spell and a spell for every element. Best persona in the game, definitely not IMO, but if you made one with a good skill set and were staying on top of your levels (i.e. you don't hit level 40 too late in the game and you make her immediately when you get there), she was far from useless.

I used Pale Rider at first the most until I could make Cu Chulainn then I started switching off both. Later I made an Alice, an insanely broken Mot, then Thanatos. In the end I had an arsenal of insanely mixed Persona. Lucifer, Michael, Metatron, Satan, Mother Harlot, Trumpeter were among some of them.

Favorite would have to be Trumpeter, it WOULD have been Hell Biker but he wasn't even in the game. :cry:

Remember the Tales of the World series? The Tales spin off that took place in a seperate universe where Tales characters from the different games co existed? He wants something like that for SMT, picture a game where you could have Hitoshura, Raidou and Serph in the same party and you've got it.

Assuming they made such a game, you'd most likely get to control Akihiko (as opposed to him being AI controlled) if you could get him in your party, then you could use his Polydeuces...

I've kept Seth for a very long time. His fire amp helps, a lot. And, and, and...yes, before Seth was Titania because she's such a great healer. Cheap healing skills with Mediarama + Divine something something.

My favorite in terms of design and representation is THANATOS; Greek god of death. Thanatos reminds alot of an Evangelion for some reason... probably because he goes berserk.

And my next favorite is Nyx avatar. Nyx avatar CAN qualify as a persona since it represent the human's self-destructive and death-wishing characteristics, which is one of many faces of the human psyche.

Not to be overly critical, but i disliked alot of the personae design in P3... alot of them look like freaks. For example, one looks like an elephant... or another one is a purple elf with a white mantle... or a cheetah man with a green cape!? i think the designs should have more general appeal.

I just hope that the persona's in Persona 4 will be more like a mixture of Japanese and Greek gods and goddesses. I love their myths and legends at some point. One thing that I loved about Persona 3/FES is because of its greek themed names like in persona's thanatos, atropos, etc. and yeah, there is tartarus. This time I want Japanese myths and legends too. :D

er... I think it would be a good idea to wait a bit before deciding your favourite if you're just think which one is better. Afterall, most personas of the Fool Arcana can have multiple elements. Having multiple elements isn't always a good thing either, as it takes up your precious 8 slots that can be used for other things. I love my Messiah with Thunder reign + amp + boost right now. But I still like Orpheus the best. Maybe I'll fuse down one with Ragnarok + Amp sometime... TELOS looks crap.

For Zio spells, I favor Lilith. She's got solid stats all around, her magic stat is respectable, and in P4 I was able to give her Ziodyne, Maziodyne, Old One, Ailment Boost, and Mind Charge. On top of that, I find her character design extremely sexy -- and it reminds me of Gozer from Ghostbusters. I wonder if Kazuma Kaneko did that on purpose. Of course I doubt I'll ever know unless somebody at Atlus USA decides to ask and post the answer. *shrug*

Also, Cu Chulainn just looks awesome, as does Siegfried. Titania is gorgeous,is an excellent mid-range healer and ice wielder, and can also inherit wind magic. I thought that Neko Shogun looked adorable, and Lilim always looks very sweet and innocent.

Oddly enough, Succubus is prettier when summoned than she is in her character portrait.

Beelzebub and Siegfried ALWAYS get use out of me, no matter what version of the game I'm playing. Asura, Lucifer, Skadi, Helel, and Messiah are others that come to mind as well, but it's those two that I always come back to for playthroughs (as opposed to NG+ and the like). ... I also overlevelled my Kohryu and Samael just because they're so COOL looking.

... Also, I'm particularly fond of Chie's Personas. A shame she didn't get better Bufu skills, but her Physical more than makes up for that, not to mention their appearances.

I like the Frost family a lot, particularly Jack Frost and Black Frost. Jack Frost because in my first play through of P3 he is my third strongest persona for his magic and strength alone(87, 80 respectively) as well the Jack Brothers spell which I have great luck with. Black Frost because of his solid skill set and incredibly high luck stat.

Besides the Frost family I love Alice for her look and the obvious Die for Me Skill. My favorite ally persona is Yukari's Io for the design.

Messiah. ADORE his design, and even though he inherits most of the useless stuff Thanatos has (like the hama/mudo spells), it wasn't enough to offset me from using him. Plus, once you get him, why would you bother using anything else? Even if you don't bother to level him to 99, it's easy to at least max every one of his stats, and after that...Oh, and he's Minato's real ultimate persona, so bonus points for that.

Honorable mention: Odin. My most used Persona. You can't dismiss the sheer power of an ability that not only hits very hard, but also allows Aigis' God's Hand to deal absolutely ABSURD and near-gamebreaking damage. Has decent stat and skill builds as well. Only thing I hate is that his design feels rather bland.
