Say that Banpresto were to establish a U.S branch in either of the major media centered states (California, New York etc...). And that they were to collaborate with Atlus on an original Super Robot Taisen game, and were to bring all presently licensed mech animes into this game.

Which mech series would you want to see in this "so-called" original series? And what letter would you call this original series? E, T, U (y'name it).

As huge of a Gundam Wing nut I am, I just can't help loving Gurren Lagann to a greater extent

TTGL

and they will need to bring GaoGaiGar from previous games
that would be awesome

Hmmmm, let me put my SRW thinking cap on.......

OK! Gurren Lagann is a good pick and I wouldn’t mind seeing it, but there is one problem, atlus would have to go though konami to get the license. I don't know the whole story but that is why they weren’t in later SRW games yet. (it is also the same reason Diebuster isn't in it yet ether) If Banpresto has a hard time with it than I’m afraid atlus won't do better. Now as far as the others, they are all licensed by a US company. Both AQUARION and Heroic Age are licensed by Funimation Entertainment and all of the Gundam series as well as Gurren Lagann and Code Geass are licensed by Bandai Entertainment. The only one I don't know in the poll is Strain, if you have more information on it then let me know.

I do have a theory on how atlus can establish a licensed agreement that would allow them to localize any SRW game. I posted it on a SRT OGS EF thread and will soon post an updated one in the SRT:OG suggestion thread. To sum up my theory is that as far as mecha anime that has ever been bought to the US, most has been from the following companies. The first two I said above, Funimation Entertainment and Bandai Entertainment; the others are from Geneon Entertainment, ADV and Media blasters. (technically speaking, Funimation Entertainment hasn't licensed many mecha animes before but after acquiring most of Geneon Entertainment and ADV products they have started licensing ones that the others would have done) Atlus would have to establish an agreement with them in order to license more SRW games and make ones themselves. The name I can think of if they were to make their own game is Super Robot Taisen X.

Like I said it is only a theory and I don’t even know how they will pull it off. But if something like THIS (http://www.capcom-unity.com/kramez/blog/2009/05/18/capcom_e3_mystery_game_1_revealed_in_july_nintendo _power) can happen, than I can believe in the impossible.

I'm an oldschool Gundam fan, no doubt. I'd want anything UC Century in the game. ...and just about anything else, might I add. Heck, I'd LOVE to see SRW Alpha here. It's easily one of my favorites.

:agree:
Totally agree with you there. The Alpha trilogy is one of the best SRW sagas around. I may have only played @G but I have seen what the others offer and would like to see it here. (maybe in set with each one in the series)

Also in regards to alpha and if it is even possible to see it here, I finished my theory that I wanted to post. The last post in this thread is a summery of it but this here (http://www.atlus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6&page=45) is the improved complete (albeit for some typos) version. If atlus were to start a branch then they will have to consider the insane theory I made.

After seeing the intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgZeKf2IfUs&feature=related) I now remember seeing the mechs before. (though I have yet to watch this) So as I thought, half of this list is from Funimation Entertainment while the other half is Bandai Entertainment. For atlus to acquire any or the shows that are on this list they will have to negotiate with either company. Don’t worry; once OG gets released and the sales start coming from it, they’ll see what they can do when it comes to licensed issues.

As much as I'm not into Super Robot Taisen, I was always into Sakura Taisen, and although the two franchises are of different softhouses, I'd love to see a crossover between them.

Yeah, I'd totally vote for ZOE if it were on there!

Oh, this was a revived topic... dunno how "allowed" that is, but oh well.

As it is? TTGL.
