I'm a big SRPG ran and collector, but I missed the SRT GBA games. I got my hands on a copy of SRT: OG 2 for GBA yesterday, and it seemed a relatively straightforward grid based turn based game. The video I'm seeing on the Atlus site shows a lot more action oriented combat. Can someone briefly describe how the gameplay actually proceeds, i.e. grid-based followed by real time action along the lines of Yggdra Union? Much appreciated.

I would check the official site of this game below. The only I can thing I can tell you that is more of a traditional RPG. Hope that helped you..

I had already checked the site and I didn't find it helpful in terms of giving me a good idea as to how combat unfolded. But thanks.

Basically you wander about the world area and various "dungeons" and have random battle encounters. The battles are turn based but within your turn you can pull off combo moves (eg: fighting games, although simplified to one button), switch between characters and call upon allies to help you in battle.
Outside battle it plays like a regular sprawling J-RPG, but once you get into battle its like a mix between Xenogears and Marvel vs. Capcom.
Not sure if this will confuse you more or help.

That is very helpful. Thank you. Atlus's video demonstration of the game's system almost makes it look like a straight action RPG.
