I don't get this whole centipede road moon crud(Spoilers)

:question: i'm confused on this whole centiped road moon crud. I mean the hint i have to move forward is half moon something torper seven beams of light from the west to move forward. i mean what is this cockamamy :bs: how the hell do they expect you do get past this thing i hate math! Always have was one of my least favorite subjects in high school!

West refers to the direction you have to take. Count seven away from the Half, so the phase of the moon needs to be either five or three for you to pass.

If it mentions New, Half, or Full moon phase, then that will factor in.
If it mentions a number, that will be used in addition or subtraction.
If it mentions something about "before", then you subtract the number from the moon phase.
If it mentions something about "after", then you add the number to the moon phase.
Keep in mind the Waning and Waxing of the moon.
If it mentions a direction (North, East, South and West) or just Backwards/Forwards, keep that in mind. That's the way you go.


Personally, I wrote down on a piece of paper:

N 1 2 3 H 5 6 7 F
___N___
_W__E_
___S___


And then I counted away from the moon phase depending on addition or subtraction.
When you reach N or F but still have more to count, keep counting but go the opposite way you started (Starting with 1 and 7 respectively, of course)

For example:
"Seven beams appear before the Half."
Half moon, but go back seven phases.

N 1 2 3 H 5 6 7 F
________ 1 2 3 4
(Reached the end. Go back.)
________ 7 6 5

The answer is during the 5th moon phase you move ahead.

i mean, you cant go further unless I missed something which I probably did =S

The two crystals are not part of the main path. They're mentioned in passing, kind of a "and do this for treasure". If you got to the crystals, you haven't completed the correct alignment to proceed. Also, as I recall, to get to the crystals you have to take the East path. To proceed forward, you have to take the West path.

honestly, i just "Brute Force'd" that puzzle, just kept charging ahead till i advanced...

I too am suffering from this problem.
It's the third riddle, "The one North Star does no wait for the Full Moon to act as a guiding light for travelers."
Any ideas?

Err, I kinda forgot about this riddle... I think, you need to go North at 7/8 (before the full moon).
