Since we aren't getting a strategy guide or anything for this game, and Devil Summoner is pretty much known to have hidden secrets as well as some hard quests, and other stuff. I figured I'd make a one-stop help thread.

I'll try and maintain the main post with questions, and answers to them, of course all answers will be hidden inside spoiler tags and certain questions as well if they could be considered spoilers. General gameplay mechanic questions will not be hidden. Story related or possible spoiler questions will be.

To help prevent any spoilers for other people, it would be helpful for people to follow a format here. To prevent being spoiled.

Answer: Some demons have business cards, these can affect your negotiations with other demons, such as follow for example.

"Oh, you know this guy? Cool, I bet we'd get along."

"Wait, you've worked with this guy? I hate him! Get out of here!"

Answer - Sword fusion. You get it a ways through Chapter 1 while chasing "someone" in the Dark Realm. You can also get additional swords from side quests further on in the game.

Fast Leveling up technique.

How to do it: This is a method I figured out myself, there are two things you need first in order to do this.

1. You need a demon with the passive skill 'Desperate Power'. The first demon to get this I believe is Oukuninushi, a base level 35 demon.
2. A demon that has the intimidate investigation skill, which Oukuninushi also has, but is listed here so if anyone wants to fuse one later on.

The Intimidate skill works to "WARD" off enemies until the next new moon, which also happens to be when Fiends encounters happen. Basically summon Oukuninushi, have him intimidate and then run around until the next new moon comes about, what will happen is that you'll trigger a fiend encounter.

Keep in mind, a fiend encounter rate using this technique usually happens every other time for some reason, but I have gotten it consecutively. So in other words, if you meet a fiend this new moon, the next new moon using this technique you most likely will not meet one, however the new moon after that you're almost guaranteed to meet one. The best fiend I have seen for leveling up is Kageboushi, which can give out 8888 EXP, however you have to beat him fast since he likes to do hit and runs.

question: How do you beat the Fukorutsubo spell near the end of chapter 2?

answer: This is all by memory, but I spent so long trying to figure it out, Im pretty sure I remember it exactly. Assuming you are at the save point, go left and then go down. Now go to left side of the screen and around upwards. Now here if you were to go straight, an illusion will send you back.

So take the first right, and now you should see an area that has one way leading north (which is the only open way) and the east and south passage blocked by green webs. So go north, in the next area you should see that healing dude and your west and north blocked. Go east, once your screen changes to the new area, turn back around and go back in the same area you just came from.

Now you should see the west opened up. Go West and then north. pick up the blue item if you want, then go east. Now you're in an area where you should see only South and east open. Go South, and once the screen changes, turn right back around the way you came and now you should see the north opened up, and the save point there.

How about purchasing them? I say that because when you select a sword to do alchemy on, there are a bunch of slots open so I figured there must be other ways to get more swords.

You should probably spoiler tag that.

Answer: You should just be able to talk to the butler, then read his mind. You should then be able to just check the door and be able to walk in there.

I was stuck on that one for hours. I can help you here.

Are you sure about that? The first case file is the delivery mission in the dark realm which, in turn, gives you the ability to do fusions. Where would the "maid" or "shine" come in? Or, am I mistaken?

Answer: He is saying that if you want to get Satake, who is the gang boss, to talk with you. You have to complete the case file mission request from Dr. Victor. It will also open up Gouma Den for fusions.

Answer: Like Nagi said, you have to keep an eye on "numbers" on the stone, in this case it's one. So it's saying a seeker holds one thought at the time of the new moon, "at the time" would be interpreted as it's almost the new moon. So you would subtract one phase before the new moon. The last part says "before returning whence he came", is pretty straight forward as it just means go out the way you came in.

Chapter 3 - Tento Shrine

*This isn't really a spoiler. It involves a random encounter you can't escape from.

Question - A fiend named White Rider appears. How do you beat him?

Answer - The only strategy that seems to work for me is to have 1 healer and 1 Frost type spamming bufu and then having Ridou Drain Mag him. When seeing his horses legs kick up I would then block and hold L2.

Anyone have a better idea? His rush attacks are a pain -_-

That's basically the best way to go about it. It's also worth getting your sword upgraded to the most powerful form you can get it. I have Shishiou, which takes nearly 1/4th of his health away when I use it's special attack. However, I have my Oukuninushi fit out with Tarukaja and Rakukaja, which I cast at the beginning of every Fiend battle.

Right now I actually TRY to encounter them, they are wonderful for experience, so I always try to make sure I pass the passive skill "Desperate Power", which increases Fiend encounter rate.

I mean i can almost get the bug down to beating it after dahn takes off but once he starts doing the whole overdrive bit it's when i usually bite the big one. what the trick to beating this fight if there is a trick to it. Answer: When you first walk into the area, you should see a lady standing outside her house, right next to her is an open door. Its actually really hard to notice.

I wouldn't say there is any trick to be honest. I think Dahn is pretty easy. Some suggestions would be to have one demon always set to heal, and one demon that can exploit his weakness. Don't forget your special sword move, but make sure you be conservative with it, as the special sword move uses MAG.

Don't forget about the L2 button, it makes your demon immune, and it's quite helpful at times.

I'm refering to the bloody bug taru whatever the hell the things name is as i friggen stated once this bug starts in with the whole oeverdrive crap i'm pretty much toast. My current level is 24 and i'm doing this without playing or importing any kind if clear game datat from devil summoner 1 since i don't own and have never played devil summoner 1. It's seem pretty pointless to me to stick in a oh lets fight the end game boss once before the end game if dahn is indeed the end game baddie. at any rate if anyone has any advice tips, tricks, or even a link to a youtube video of the fight i would most apprecite any help anyone might be able to provide me.

Yeah, I believe I was around that level, maybe slightly higher. Then again, in the fight I had against him, I never seen any attack called Overdrive (I've seen Sonic Wave, Hop Jump or whatever and the wing flap attack). Anytime the bug did something that warranted a notice that he was about to do a move, I just hit L1 and L2 and waited for it to happen.

Do you have an axe-based sword? It does wonders in bug fights.

Can you dodge? Do you have Medicine handy? You can do it at the level for sure, but do remember to know how to dodge. It will come in handy for the next few bosses.

Answer: You'll get rid of it eventually, to be blunt at that point in the game it's story related.

Oh, that? I recall that you can purchase Renki sword to use Alchemy on by going East, West, North, or South of the Training Hall. You'll need a demon who can ride water, though. At least, that's what the guy at Shin Sekai told me; I haven't tried it yet.

answer: It's a set place you go everytime, so it's not like the illusion. Just pick a side to start with, like going on the right one, then keep going right till you get back to the beginning. Then go right again and keep doing that and change the last thing you did until you get all the items, use scout to see how many items are left. then once you do that, try going left, and so on. It's a set place you go to everytime, so just keep trying

Answer: Well, that Fiend encounter was actually fixed, or at least I think it was, because it happened to me, as well.

Answer: YOU KILLED HIM! Nah jk If I remember correctly, they never really explained what happened to him after that.

Also for an earlier fiend question. Fiend encounters always happen during a new moon, also if you look in the lower right hand corner of your screen, you'll see this odd shape...thing there. It constantly changes colors as you move around, if you see it dark red near/during a new moon phase, you're at a VERY high risk of encountering a fiend.

SPOILER possibly: I just started Chapter 2 and I have to go around asking the locals about Dahn and the symbol thing but of course, they won't tell me anything outright so I figure I need a demon with the "Read mind" skill... except I don't have one with me and whenever I try to leave to go back to the capital to get to the Gouma-Den, the stupid cat won't let me leave :/ Help...? :D;;

Answer: Miles away is the big clue here, tsukigata village is the furthest away, so the turtle is there. More specifically... stop reading if you wanna find it yourself, otherwise continue...you can find him in the residential area to the east of tsukigata village.

Answer: That is a pagan demon skill. I haven't had that issue exactly, because I talked to inugami who was a pagan.

[SPOILER]You have to try to go into the woods. A man will stop you. Use Mind Read on the guy. Then talk to the two singing girls nearby Tae. Then go back to the guy and either talk or Mind Read again. I can't remember which. Then proceed into the forest and make your way to Tsukigata Mansion.

I'd say you did, because I didn't get that last Wooden Ornament until the last chapter in the game, which I got lucky on a battle item find.

Answer: As far as I know, she does since it's a pretty big part of the story, and really what drives Dahn to save her, so I don't think it'd be different no matter what choice you make.

Yeah, far as I know there are some that you just can't negotiate with at all. I haven't tried negotiating during a full moon with them though, although I doubt it would work since none of the other demons can talk during that time.

That's the only part of the screen it exists as far as I know. I can imagine it's a pain in the butt for you though.

I went to sleep after the scene that gives you the item, so I can't remember for the life of me....

Answer: You go to the shack in the woods, where you were locked up previously. Go downstairs in there, and you'll find Dahn.

I just started and got through Tae and Narumi talking and I cant find what to do next. I looked everywhere i could find to look talked to all people and read the minds of those I could and i still got nothing. I found a place with three numbered wells and a broken bridge and saved it there.
Can anyone explain what i need to do?

You have to try to go into the woods. A man will stop you. Use Mind Read on the guy. Then talk to the two singing girls nearby Tae. Then go back to the guy and either talk or Mind Read again. I can't remember which. Then proceed into the forest and make your way to Tsukigata Mansion.

Yep. I believe she is level 45. I still use her skills even with Metatron, Beezulbub, etc. If you can manage to get Destructive Joy skill on her, she can really start dealing out the damage, a lot of fiend battles don't even last a minute.

Leave the resort area by exiting to the East. Follow the paths to the North East and you will get an area with a Dragon Cave and random encounters. You might be able to get a pagan demon there, but I am not sure.

THANK YOU! I was coming onto this thread to ask about this. I kind of had the right idea, though, except I used inspect inside the house instead of the area you mentioned. I even tried going to the Dark Realm!

OK, it's a bit early to get an answer but can someone explain how to get all the endings? Chaos and Justice should be easy enough but I'm not sure about Neutral. When the controller vibrates upon being asked a question that helps to affect your path, right?

And as a request: I think it would be nice if we created another thread that has every case file listed and how to get/complete them, but I might be wrong. Here questions about Case Files are scattered all over and could easily be missed. I really hope you get a nice reward for completing them all because so far I'm getting ripped off with the rewards. I'm really not liking giving demons to Victor for just a camera and a gem.

EDIT: I heard that fusion accidents in this game are pretty amusing. What happens?

I think it is by what you gotten/completed in the first game. I only got the commendation, and nothing else. I don't remember anything about meeting someone. Commendation is pretty good in itself, since it gives you 10,000 yen, which is quite helpful in the beginning. What does the wanderers badge do? Is it also something you sell?

Depending on the state of your save game, you can get anywhere from one to three sellable items.

Item 1 (10,000 yen): have a Soulless Army save file
Item 2 (15,000 yen): Demonic Compendium in save file is at least 60% complete
Item 3 (20,000 yen): have a New Game + save file

-Reunion with Raidou 1 demons

If you have any of the following demons registered in your Compendium in the first game, you may encounter any of them in battle and will join you right away, without negotiation. They are:

Ukobach
Jack Frost
Agathion
Poltergeist
Moh Shuvuu
Obariyon
Mokoi
Ippon-datara

If you have any of these demons in your party already and you come across any demon in that list, you can receive 2 Beads, 2 Balms of Life, or 1 Bead of Life.

Probably my favorite puzzle, took me a good 2 hours to figure it out, and it's definitely the most difficult one in the game.

Answer:This is the puzzle that all the reviews said that you need to think outside of the box for. For one thing, the light and shadow reference is pretty big. In the detective field, the term "shadow" is generally related to "following" someone, and if you think about it, there is something that follows you around right?.

Yes that makes the demon your shadow, which makes you the light....maybe that'll be the big clue you need to figure out the rest now but if you still can't then read on to the next paragraph.....

You'll notice that in the middle of this tiled floorset, you can go left and right. The riddle says something about converging of light and shadow, which makes the row that goes straight up and down your "pathway to the future". So walk raidou over to the right end, then send your demon over to the left, and the future shall be revealed.

There is a Case File obtained from a man in the hot spring after Nagi helps the Fairies and maybe a bit after, that gives you the dew as well as the ability to traval to Fairy Land, be sure to visit later you should be able to guess when if your at that point.

I am currently on chapter 5 the day of mistfortune. I am at the part were you need to get a sword called Renki which is the Aphyllon Killer need to defeat the Aphyllon I encountered earlier.

I got the Flying Dragon from the Confinement chamber, I got the Turtle in Tuskiguta Residential Area.

I went to the Radio Tower were Narumi is and showed him the Moth Piece I picked off the dead guy after my run-in with Aphyllon.

He says I need someone who knows about demons alot and only 2 people I know fit that bill Rasputen the Dark Summoner and Victor the Fusion guy.

Well I found Rasputen in Ginzo Cho passed out on the floor from his previous run-in with Tae he wont be any help for now.

I go to the Soda Shop see if I can get help there about the sword I get the same Lecutres about the basics tips the usually junk.

I go to the Nameless Shrine were Nagi is she is talking about how she felt so helpless for not being able to help out Akane.

Am I doing something wrong or did I miss something early or have I overlooked something previously.

I...think that's when you go to the Nameless Shrine, after the Rasputin event. Might be a little fuzzy. Also, forewarning, you need a way to get across water.

You need to go to the Nameless Shrine (not the Tsukigata one) and talk to the Herald.

Also, how do I get case file 6-4? I'm in Chapter 5, if that matters.

Remember that cell in the Tento Woods that they threw you in earlier? He's there. When you go in, go to the wall to Raidou's right when you walk in. Then walk in the direction of the cell but stay near the wall. You'll see there's a staircase. Go down it, and then keep going until you see Dahn.

Yes I have talked to Victor several times he game me the clue about finding the Reki.

I went back to Victor he says nothing.

I go Ginzo Cho Rasputen is past out from a previous encounter with Tae.

Tae is underneath the Ginzo Overpass shes the one who tells me about Victor.

I go back to the Soda Shop they say nothing all of them same old stuff.


It looks like something is screwed up if I cant figure it out I am going to restart my game over from strach.

I hate this get stuck on a stupid lilttle bittie part and now I may have to restart my whole game over cause of it.

Any idea what it does...?
Unlocks fiends/Evil type demons. Also as a nice bonus you do not have to be at their level to get them, however you have to defeat most of them, or do certain case files to be able to fuse them. Also, Victor will ask you for three items (Stuff like Pearl, Onyx, etc) Hopefully you have them.

So in other words you can fuse a White Rider (lvl 49) at any level, provided that you beat him before. Sometimes you have to do a few case files to be able to fuse them.

if you miss an item that Victor ask for, it will change it to something else, if you give all the items he ask it will make a powered up version of the demon

Location of Renki Sword in Chapter 5

I went through everyones postings about this part but I have been stuck on this part for the past 2 days now.

I am about ready to restart my game or go play something else until some puts up a faq/waltkthrough.

Even if I have to wait a couple of months for it.

I will just go play other games until then, fixing to play Soul Nomad again.

Fixing to get the upcoming Mana Khemia 2-The Fall of Alchemy.

Plus newer games are coming out also cant wait for Smackdown 2010.


I am just aggervated and mad cause I am stuck on this stupid part.

I know it isnt hard for some reason my game is just being stuborn about not wanting to progress my story futher.

Like I said I been on it for 2 days now.

All I need is the location of the Renki Sword so I can defeat Apyllon and move onto chapter 6.

I'm not sure what floor he's on, but if you fight a Yo####sune in the Training Hall, he'll drop Renki swords for you. Might help to bring a demon with Scout so he can tell you what demons are around.

This one...Oh god how I hated this.
You have to kill them all at the same time, I think. I had no idea how to do it the first time. However, in a similar later battle, when I analyzed the enemies only one had the data. The others were all question marks and were the same demon.
See if that analyze thing works in the Nekomata battle. If so, then you should kill the one who has the data, and then kill the rest. I'm pretty sure that the Nekomata with the data is why they respond. It was like that in the later battle.

Yeah, I've gotten the uranus stone from him once. The island north to where the phone booth island is, there is a shining item on the bottom portion of that island, that is also a uranus stone.

Answer: Go to where it appears like there is a dead end, and walk against the edges, you'll eventually find a part where floors appear out of no where.

One of the cases in Case File 4 gives a Hiranya (I think it's like...the first one? I dunno, but it's in Case File 4), although you need a fickle dew for that. To get a fickle dew, you need to talk to the guy in the Tsukigata hot springs to get the case for getting the fickle dew.

From what I've heard any question that activates the rumble is an alignment question. Also what I've heard is the way your overworld icon spins is your alignment not sure what way is what but I do remember a back and forth motion is neutral.

The Catholic Church can only be accessed by the Large Tarrasque. I'm not sure which case file it is, I think its one of the case file 4 ones though. You'll know which one it is when you read it, because it'll be talking about sewers. One you do that, and complete that case file, you can use the Tarrasque to travel to the church, which is one of those blue circles on your map, which is right near the long island on the lower right-ish part of the map.

Indeed, one is neutral when one's icon goes back and forth (you can see it on the green people as well, when travelling across the maps.) If you spin Counter Clockwise, you're Chaos. If you spin Clockwise, you're Law. From the point where Akijiro asks of you, if you would bring Dahn back to the Village, you can determine whether you're chaos or law. Q: So this has happened twice for me. Victor suddenly decided he was going to do a special little fusion. He stole some gems from me and I only missed one. As far as I know, I got the expected result. Second time I try I miss all but one. It causes a fusion accident. So what in the world is Victor trying to do by stealing my Gemstones? I worked hard for that Aquamarine...and it turned Lilim into a Zombie...


if you miss an item that Victor ask for, it will change it to something else, if you give all the items he ask it will make a powered up version of the demon

It doesn't make a powered up demon EVERY time. I was trying to make one of the Mitami when Victor went crazy, I gave him everything I asked for... and I got a Death Doll or whatever that crazy thing is. It's a Level 44 Evil demon... and I was at level 30.

Fusing her is like fusing any other fiend. Start a fusion on a full moon when your fusion count is a multiple of 7.

Answer: Sakuradama is the giant hill thingy or whatever in the middle of the map surrounded by water almost. You will have to use the exit near the Navy Headquarters in Harumi-cho to get there.

Sakuradama is one of those places I think the game assumes most people know where it is, it being a common location in soulless army.

Sorry, I don't know how to do spoiler tags so... SPOILER possibly: I just started Chapter 2 and I have to go around asking the locals about Dahn and the symbol thing but of course, they won't tell me anything outright so I figure I need a demon with the "Read mind" skill... except I don't have one with me and whenever I try to leave to go back to the capital to get to the Gouma-Den, the stupid cat won't let me leave :/ Help...? :D;;



Head to tento springs on the far right side of the map. There is a gouma den there which u can either fuse or buy a mind reader outright also u can battle here and level up too in this area. hope this helped i had the same exact problem...

make sure you learn the song from the 2 girls and get a mind reader like mokai then keep reading the guards mind until he lets u in.

When I beat him, I used Wind Cutter and Bufudyne a lot - that cut down his health really quickly. Also, I try to attack him from the back/side most of the time in order to avoid his dreaded Mute Ray. I hope that helped a bit....

Er, sorry if this has already been stated, but I know how you can tell what your alignment is now. I'll spoiler it so if people don't want to know just yet, they can skip this.
On the world map, you'll notice your icon will be spinning or swaying. This helps you greatly if you want to get a certain ending, as the movements Raidou makes tell a LOT.
If your choices are more on the Lawful side, the icon looks like it's spinning clockwise, or towards the left.
Neutral, the icon seems to just sway left and right. This could tell you another thing; pay attention to which way the icon sways to more; depending on certain choices, he'll either be swinging both ways equally, or more to one side. No matter which side he's doing, as long as he's not spinning, you are neutral. This can help you decide which choices to make if you want to KEEP Raidou neutral, as this is actually hard.
And if you haven't figured it out already, Choas side is spinning counter-clockwise, or to the right.

Has anyone else noticed how going Chaos nets you a lot more bonuses? D:

I'm being chased by fiends wherever I go - including when I tried to do the Ghost Car sidequest.

I'm level 23.

There are two different side quests I'm trying to do - both of which involve facing 100 demons. I get to a certain point and Nekomatas start coming out and invariably charm my demons.

Since I'm only allowed to carry 9 Anti-minds at a time, I invariably run out, and am killed by my own demons.

I sold the three badges I got for my saved Devil Summoner 1 game, and then promptly lost half my money in Tento Forest because I walked into a dark area and kept falling over.

Every time I've tried to negotiate with a fiend, it's failed and I've ended up dying.

Every time I've tried to fight a fiend, it's failed and I've ended up dying.

There's nowhere for me to go to level up.

There's nowhere for me to go to get new demons.

Suggestions?

I also use a Jack Frost to go down the wells. I read somewhere that you can transform into a dog to go into the animal holes - does anyone know where you can get some DNA sample to do that?

For me, I had a demon with ice skills, and I kept my demons hidden the entire time until he appears in the center of the battle area, let my demons out and then hit it while it's weak, and repeat the process. It's seriously not worth having your demon run about when the boss keeps flashing around everywhere.

Do the ghost tunnel quest, you may need the turtle (Or Great Koryhu if you obtained him already) to reach the shrine he's in.
To GET Raiho:
fuse two demons that have an average level of 40 that will result in a Frost Demon. (i.e Pagan+Pyro, Volt+Wind, Fury+Skill)
Since the BASE level of a demon is used for fusion, you will need to fuse demons that come around level 40. You're allowed a gap of 3 levels, so the average can be 37 or 42.

Ah, White Rider i presume? Do you have a demon with Bufu skills or Lillim? To deal with White rider spam Bufu type skills, and hide your demons when he uses Mudoon (Unless you have demons that absorb death skills like Lillim).
Guard+hide demons immediately when you see the prompt "White Rider is preparing something..." The damage will probably kill you outright if you don't guard and hide your demons.

As for the Nekomatas charming you, just guard and hide your demons at the same time. When you hide your demons they are invincible, and they wont catch any status aliments. When you guard, you will get reduced damage and you will never catch a status aliment. It sounds like you have a problem of not guarding often.

Just thought I'd post where I found a hair that will enable you to transform into a certain character. It isn't story related, but it's helpful.

Go to Harumi-Cho, then to the dock, and use a Volt-order demon's Inspect ability. You will find the owner of Konnou-ya's hair; transforming into him will enable you to summoner the mysterious peddler at any time to restock on goods and you'll also be able to find money while walking!

Nagi is the one who lets it slip. Just have Tae talk to them and then talk to them yourself. If you keep doing that you will get the conversation eventually.

Then suddenly he cast some sort of Fire/Explosion spell which wiped out ALL of my health. (I was at full health when he did this)

I am fairly cheesed off.

It was Victory of Fire, wasn't it? You're supposed to block/hide your demons before that attack happens. :p You get a huge warning before the attack happens (It will say "White Rider is preparing something..." by your life bar).

Just a quick and interesting note: in Chapter 3, when you go fight the boss demon in the training ground Nagi takes you to, you can actually fight different demons depending on the things you say to Nagi. For instance, I ended up fighting Cybele while my roommate fought Atavaka. I'm not sure if this affects your ability to fuse them later, though. Anyone have any more on this?

I was stuck on that one for hours. I can help you here.

Answer:This is all by memory, but I spent so long trying to figure it out, Im pretty sure I remember it exactly. Assuming you are at the save point, go left and then go down. Now go to left side of the screen and around upwards. Now here if you were to go straight, an illusion will send you back.

So take the first right, and now you should see an area that has one way leading north (which is the only open way) and the east and south passage blocked by green webs. So go north, in the next area you should see that healing dude and your west and north blocked. Go east, once your screen changes to the new area, turn back around and go back in the same area you just came from.

Now you should see the west opened up. Go West and then north. pick up the blue item if you want, then go east. Now you're in an area where you should see only South and east open. Go South, and once the screen changes, turn right back around the way you came and now you should see the north opened up, and the save point there. I'm pretty sure that is exactly right. let me know if I missed a step.

Certain case files will only become available if you are a particular alignment You can change your alignment though, so if you plan ahead/ use a faq you should be able to unlock most of the case files. There is at least one case file (maybe more?) that will only be available in a new game + if you beat the game while aligned with Chaos.

I am pretty sure that any demon you unlocked and fused in a playthrough will be available for purchase, but you might not be able to fuse them in a new game + if you don't meet the alignment requirements.

As for your second question. I have no idea. If they dual shock controller shakes when you are asked the question it will effect alignment. If not then I guess it is just for fun.

Yeah, that was the most annoying puzzle in the entire game. A friend and I were playing this at the same time (I was a few hours ahead), and I got to this point. I literally could not solve it for 3 hours. In the time I spent trying to figure it out, my friend caught up to me, and we just decided to look up the answer online.

I can't remember which area is closest to where you need to be, but I think that's when you need a way to travel water. There's a waterway you need to take, and the area you need to go is on the upper right corner of the circled waterway. Sorry if this is incredibly vague, but I know the area you need is to the left of that area with the giant tower where you first fought Apollyon.

After you do the ritual of unsealing where do you go from here? im so confused. Also im assuming theres a boss coming up. whats a general good level to be at? I did some grinding earlier and im at 53.

Large Tarrasque. It's from the "It Came From The Sewer!" case. It's fairly easy and I don't remember any fighting. Large Tarrasque is mentioned in the Case File, but not as a reward.
If you need help with the Case, just ask again and I'll be happy to help.


And no, you don't have to use Cool Down to travel on water on the Map. (You can't, actually)

Once you've got the Large Tarrasque, go back to the Capital. Note the blue circles instead of yellow ones. At those spots, you can summon the Large Tarrasque.

Now this part is from memory, so if one location doesn't work, try the other.
You either have to go to the Kasumidai area of the Map (Near Narita Mansion) or by Waden-One (The tower. It's by Harumi-cho) and go find one of these blue circles. Take the water route from there and you'll find another blue circle. Get off there and go down the really short line until you get to the yellow "Confinement Chamber" circle. As someone said, it's in a circle waterway.

I just dodged and hid my demons whenever he was about to do his fancy moves. Other than that, I spammed makakajax2'd Wind Cutter and Glacier Blast on him.

Yeah he took me 4 or 5 tries. ugh. btw I just realized this game has voice acting besides battle. Dahn's Evil laugh ftw.

Not really but a certain case file requires that the previous game have the Chaos ending in order to take the case.

In a NG+, you can summon any demon from the Devil Chart regardless of the alignment path you are currently on.

I'm in Chapter 4 and I've got Red Fiend chasing me. Every time I go ANYwhere where there's combat, he shows up and kills me.

So then I reload my game, go to the shrine and try and get purified to change my luck, but it won't let me select the option.

I thought going to the shrine was supposed to let you change your luck and get Fiends off your back. Why can't I do it?

I'm pretty much in the exact same position I was in at the beginning of Chapter 3 and I'm starting to get really fed up.

No matter what your luck is, you always have to fight them eventually.

Use Zio skills. Red Rider is a joke if you have a high leveled Volt Demon, alongside a Death Null demon. It's even easier if you have Lillim.

They come back as case files (Remember that "Blonde Young man" that you always see at random points?) Find him in the Catholic Church, in the town with the radio tower. You must use Large Tarrasque to get there. Chances are by the time you even qualify for the case files, killing the fiends wont even be an issue. These case files are 7 and up.



Oh and Lucifer/Helel is one of the case file only fiends you get to fight. :p

Fuse them with Mitamas during the Full Moon phase. You can get Mitamas by fusing Elements together and to get Elements, fuse demons of the same order togedda.

2: The dimensional corridor. How do you get past the rift in space-time? I can't seem to find any path around it.

3: Elementals. I've found six elementals, are these all there are? I've found Erthys, Aquans, Aeros, Flaemis, Sylph, and Undine. Is that it?
