Why the #### do we need a Rock Band 2? Seriously.
For more multiplayer options. Online world tour mode, the ability to create set lists to play certain songs back to back. That way the albums we have downloaded we can actually play through in order instead of having to pick only one song at a time then going back to the menu to reload and ####.
Plus it is a #### load of new songs all in one drop, not that 3+ songs a week isn't enough, it's going to be nice. I hear Bad Religion, Interpol, Against Me! and there were a few others I was really looking forward to, were going to be included.
I'm sure a patch and some DLC could easily take care of all of that.
well if the disc has ~60 and the new game modes I want, its worth the price already, each song usually is 1.99 about, so your already saving a #### ton on songs alone, throw in the extra modes and it is well worth it.
I would take DLC and what not too, if the price was as good as the disc should be.

Well, the graphics and sprite work and cutscenes were definitely the best I have seen on the DS. The battle system was fun if you had a good setup, but it takes awhile to get used to the battles. It ended up taking me 1/3 of the game to really get the feel of controlling both the top and bottom screen.
There is a ton of stuff for completionists to do (including a new game plus type deal where you have different objectives to complete each game day) if you are in to that. Enemies drop different items depending on what level you are (this can be adjusted in the menu) and what difficulty level you use.
I didn't really like the music, character design or dialogue though. The story is sort of interesting once you piece everything together, but the crummy dialogue ruined it for me. I think one of your partners is using ebonics or something.
Overall it is fun, but not $40.00 fun.
Edit: I guess I will put this into Sei's review thread (totally devoid of reviews from Sei) as well.

Hexers don't really deal much elemental damage, though. I would suggest either a Troubadour or an Alchemist. With the Troub, you can use songs that will cause all of your physical attackers to deal elemental damage, rather than physical damage. With the Alchemist, only the Alch will be able to cast spells, while the others are still dealing strike/pierce/blunt damage.
Also, the Troubadour can learn a bunch of other things that are useful, like a passive skill that ups EXP.

^Take dodgeball, throw in the fighting and item buying aspects of Nekketsu, and you have SDB. You just run around around the field throwing the ball around and beating up the rival team. Sometimes various classic Nekketsu objects fly onto the field and you can pick them up and either throw them or beat you rivals with them. It's has Tournament, VS, and Brawl modes. Not sure what Brawl is yet, but Tournament is self explanatory, and VS is a single VS game. You can also create your own team. Oh! Brawl is where there are eight players on the field and you basically just rumble.

i'm once again playing Morrowind, where i am an almighty High Elf with a killer levitation spell that can bump-off Cliffracers just in having them come in contact with my wake.
What i'd like to know today is... what sort of character are you?
And then what is your favourite weapon?
Mine is The Fork of Horripilation.
What most people i talk with don't seem to realize is that this weapon's strength doubles with each kill.
i am currently able to bump-off Dagoth Ur with just one jab,
and that's on the highest difficulty setting!! But this is only if i wanted to;
instead, i've befriended him so there is no need.
We reign over Vvardenfall together, as one.
But if i decided to turn on him, just remember--
one Fork of Horripilation jab is all it would take.
Relatedly, i just discovered the following link which had me laughing for a while...

Some sources hold that, strictly speaking, the term Milky Way should refer exclusively to the observation of the band of light, while the full name Milky Way Galaxy, or alternatively the Galaxy should be used to describe our galaxy as an astrophysical whole.

MGS3. Backtracking all the way to where I can get the Tsuchinoko. Almost missed it, I'm glad I saved before defeating the fury. Also, Chocobo's Mystery dungeon 2, like it better than Shiren for some reason. Probably the extra plot and cutscenes, although both are awesome games.
(Edit) Well, that sucked, you can't backtrack from the mountain area, but luckily I had a save at The End. saving and leaving from where he is also takes you fairly close to where the Tsuchinoko is, though. Finally captured one though.
Sucks having to replay everything till the fury, but it should go faster this time.

Switching between 3 DS titles at the moment. Etrian Odyssey 1, Worms 2, and Pokemon Pearl. When I dont mind grinding, I try and level up my boss party in EO. After about 2-3 levels on my medic, I'm bored of the frog slaughter. Then I move on to Worms 2. It's a fun game but unless your playing multi, it grows boring as the campaign mode is easy and the other stuff is just tedious. Pearl, well, that's a guilty pleasure. I beat all the boss' except for the final floor. Only to learn the most basic. How to mine in the underground tunnels. Now that I can do the simple things, I've been slowly growing spheres and getting lots of nifty items I could use to pump up the abilities of my pokemon. For some reason, even with nearly 80 hours I still dont mind the grinding in it. It's a good thing EO doesnt have an hour counter as I'd probly be disgusted with how many I've invested into it.

Folklore. Up to Chapter 3 with both characters. I like the combat and how your Folks level up through certain feats and whatnot. And using different Folks and finding certain enemies weaknesses keeps things from getting old IMO. And each character's Folks are somewhat different for the most part so they're not clones of each other which is nice. However, I'm not liking to have to go through the same areas and fighting the same boss twice. I think they should have made the areas different for each character somehow. Different bosses would be nice and would make more sense in terms of the story as well. The story is a bit slow and usually just leads to more questions, though that really doesn't bother me. It's still early in the game so hopefully it'll pick up soon and give some answers.

The clock was at aproximately 18 hours, so removing about 7 hours of sleep and an hour of doing something else, it would amout to about 10 hours in two days.

TWEWY is really hard to play* if you are left handed and like to switch up attacks. Most of the time I found it was pretty much use one attack until it is done, and then swtich to another. (*hard to play if the top screen isn't on automatic.) Neat game though.
I was playing Nocturne (12 hours in and level 17 in Ginza.) I was fine until the flu kicked in. Then a 4X"New Enemy Appears" series of encounters while heading to the Fountain of Life and ending in 4 Lilim that felt like exercising that sexy gaze all over us. Eventually both of my surviving members were charmed and killing each other. Thank's ATLUS!
(this game is pretty much perfect! I love the translation, and am going to start a collection of notes about it. I wish the out of print double jump guides were available for purchase as pdfs. I bet I could find a great poster in this one!)
Fortunately I save often, and only lost the Lilim I was recruiting. time for break...
---- sigh.
I switched to Crisis Core for a minute. A good friend (who finally has the reprint of FFVII thanks to me) suggests I finish it. But honestly, most of the battles I get in are just exercises in how fluid my single x button action is. And sometimes, the game just really seems to suck bad. Is it just me?
I think I am going to get FFXII (on this board's advise! thx) when I get more popsicles and juice. and fight the urge to trade in Crisis Core. I am SO CLOSE to the end, just can't stomach more than at most 2 hours of this game at a time. If they wanted it more like a adventure game, it should be played more like Vagrant Story, or even Parasite Eve.

Yeah, eventually you end up with so many points that you get everything for everybody anyway. Still, it's fun to enjoy being unique while it lasts.
By the way, did you do anything in particular in your first playthrough? For me it was...
Vaan - White Mage #1, equipped with guns for good measure.
Penelo - Primary damage dealer. Had some black magic, but mainly stuck to swinging her two-handed sword around. :)
Balthier - Used lances. Tried to use him in a commander, or "support" type role, with lots of helpful green magic.
Fran - Typical Black Mage type. Used a staff.
Ashe - White Mage #2, for when I wasn't using Vaan. She wielded a bow.
Basch - The other physical attacker. Shield and axe. Though for some reason he also had time magic.

Basch - Hunter - axe, shield, spear, bow, poach, green magic
Balthier - Dark Knight - sword, shield, two handed sword, arcane magic
Vaan - Ghetto Ninja - dagger, ninja-to, katana, fighting staff (whatever?), bomb, misc magic
Penelo - Chemist - guns, items
Fran - Druidess - rod, bow, green magic, white magic
Ashe - Sorceress - stave, black magic, time magic, white magic
But really, there is a huge amount of variety. Most of the FF can be recreated to a large extent using the license grid.

Not bad.
Kinda weird that you took Guns away from Balthier.

I like swords better than guns on Balthier too.. I might actually play around with his class ideas, because I'm tired of so many of my characters using swords or poles.

Hito has, and well I gave it a try after he told me more about it. I really wish the text were in English the job classes added to the game were a damn nice addition.

Yea it's pretty stupid that they didn't include the English text. I was really looking forward to picking up copy.

Got passed the first big door in The Answer. lol I like how Fuuka is so worried about food, is it just me or does she sound different every now and then. Sometimes she sounds like a grandma and sometimes like a weird young girl.

Beat Devil Summoner. In the end, I think it was a good game. A little nutty, not necessarily a good SMT game, but it was pretty enjoyable. Also I take back anything I said about it not being hard. Though I wasn't really using top level demons in the end, that final battle was pretty damn tough.
On to P3 now, I suppose.

Just beat Fallen Forneus in Nocturne, on hard. He wasn't particularly hard, but it was a fun fight nonetheless. I really love this game so far. :D My main character is currently level 9. Most of my other demons are level 5, except High Pixie at level 10 and Hua Po at level 6.

Grand Theft Auto IV. Damn, this is a good game. I've liked all the GTAs so far, but this one takes the cake. By far the best.

God of War II still. I just fought possibly the most intense boss battle ever in the history of video games. I had two ####ing bosses attacking me at once and neither was letting up even the slightest.
I don't know if it's cause it's hot out, if my Triple is blowing out an obnoxious amount of heat, or if that battle was just that intense, but I was sweating bullets. It was pouring down my face!

####ing drawing is getting tedious in Final Fantasy 8, but nevertheless, it's a great game. I'm not at the part with Zell, Selphie, and Quistis looking for Squall in Prison.

There are about 6 people who agree with us, though. C'est la vie.

I liked IX, but it seemed like they were going out of their way to please the sweaty fanboys who just wanted more SNES games. Of course, those would be their customers, so why not?
For some reason, though, I just couldn't get into IX. I should give it another go, though. I just re-played VIII a while back, I should just go through all of the old Final Fantasy games in order, starting with III on the DS.

Wow, speaking of FF I just started playing through FFVI again. Decided I would try out the gba version since it had just been sitting around in shrink wrap for a year and a half. It is great other than the infinitely small screen and the crappy sound emulation.
I have no clue what the extra additions are over the psx version. Hopefully they included an extra dungeon like the other gba remakes.
FFVIII and FFIX were both fun up to a point. Unfortunately once that point was reached I lost all interest in going forward with the game.
Lol I am still planning on finishing Live -A- Live at some point. Hopefully I will work up some interest in playing through the final chapter sometime next week.

If you're going to play any of the old ones, make sure they're the original versions, or the PS1 re-releases. The GBA remakes are laughably easy and take all the fun out of the games.

I have already played through all of the original versions and the ps1 re-releases. I am going to have to challenge what you are saying about the gba version of FF VI being easier as BS. The difficulty seems exactly the same as earlier versions.

Well, FFVI was never that hard to begin with, so maybe it's because it's on a portable system that makes it seem "easier".
But what I said still holds true for the original Final Fantasy.

Supposedly, I would say that FFVIII was my favorite out of the Final Fantasy series, but since FFXIII is coming out along with FF Versus XIII, I find it difficult to make a choice. In fact, FFX was good as well. As for the classics, FFIII was good.
As for what game I am now playing, I would say its a tough choice between Persona 3 FES, DDS, DS, SO3, and Tales of the Abyss. Personally, I find Star Ocean 3 to be the best of all, mainly due to the multiple endings, which the other games lacked. On my 4th or 5th playthrough, I have less than 50% of the battle trophies. Jeez, I suck!

Wait, so let me get this straight. You are choosing between a game you have played and a game you haven't played as the best in a series?

Not really. Its just the battle trophies are really difficult to get. And by collecting battle trophies, you get to unlock some pretty sweet features, such as music test, additional outfits, and also the amazing full active mode. Since its my 5th game, I intend on giving up on the full active mode, since its totally out of reach. Instead, I plan on getting the music test and the 4th set of outfits.
And about FF11, it is quite disappointing that the game was MMORPG only. I saw the expansion pack on sale for 5 bucks onry. Jeez..
Edited: The thing about SO3 having the extra challenging battle trophies isn't something uncommon within the Star Ocean series. From what I heard, Star Ocean: The Second Story had 80+ endings, probably the game with the MOST multiple-endings in the history of video games.
