Grandia 2, Persona 3, Persona 4(not starting until I finish P3), and FF: Crisis Core. I'm mainly working on Crisis Core in an insane bid where I'm trying to break the game so as to see the story with as little discomfort as possible, seeing as I can always do a challenge run later to get the grinding bug out of me. And so I can get back to my P3, heh.

Massively enjoying P3 when I can find the time to grind for the Jotun of Grief, and I'm looking forward to massively enjoying P4.

Yeah, it can be pretty annoying, so I'm focusing on Crisis Core, then I'll wrap up P3, eventually moving on to P4. I managed to get all the way to the last month in P3 before getting into Crisis Core, and I'm only playing that atm because it's much easier and shorter.

It also gives me a little more time to ponder what on Earth I'm going to do against the Jotun of Grief.

On the portable side, I'm still taking my time with The Dark Spire. I just found the stairs to the fifth floor, but I'm still working on finishing stuff on floors 3 and 4.

Ugh...I finally finished Lux-Pain. I loved it so much, but now I'm getting back into Suikoden, as at first I was turned off by it's graphics but now I love them (especially in battles). This game definitely exceeded my expectations. If I knew how good it was I would have played it awhile ago.

Enchanted arms is pissing me off even more, but by little. Right now, i'm in the resistance hideout trying to free raigar, and yet I have to talk to every **** resistance member, and so far, I've only gotten two voiced conversations which still doesn't progress the story.

I finaly unlocked all the advanced classes in The Dark Spire. My elven druid Foryth is already upgraded, Deeter the samurai and Olethros the paladin are almost ready to be upgraded, but Mimi the halfing wizard (Willow Ufgood has reincarnated as Mimi lol) is gonna be a pain since I have to level up two points of strenght which right now costs me 33000EP for one point. Ugh. Other than that I'm currently exploring the fifth floor. Also the super scary guardian demon in the basement went down with a single Smite spell, lol.

Other than that I just beat up Barbos in Tales of Vesperia. Managed to get all secret missions so far, though some were a pain. I'm really enjoying this game.

I also started Zeno Clash(PC), it's not bad so far, but some battles can get frustrating and it's a bit repetitive.

HEY! Aren't I the Paladin? What's with the hate???

I still love you as a paladin, but I kinda wish I had made you a druid, given how usefull arcane magic is. But I think my party is a little more versatile that way anyway. I can chop smaller enemy parties rather quickly with my two attackers, and I can take down enemy hordes very quickly as well. I rarely run out of spells anyway. You still make a good pally O. ;)

Stick at it - it will come after a few plays. Mastering which forms to switch to is really the key. It really is a great game with a ton of great bonuses.

After playing Dark Spire for 85+ hours, I'm moving back to Luminous Arc 2. Havent touched it sense the tournament and it's about time I actualy play the game and enjoy the story rather then blow thru the game trying to get the charcter levels to 45.

Well, I'm actualy enjoying Oblivion so far. It feels like when I was playing Daggerfall all those years ago. I hesitated trying it for so long because Morrowind sucked ass, but I'm glad I gave it a chance (and my buddy convinced me to try it). Other than that I'm also enjoying Crimson Gem Saga, currently trying to acquire the Mirror of Moonlight. The game is more challenging than I expected, which is nice.

The junction system to me gets far to much grief, I mainly feel it's due to FF fans liking simplicity far to much, it isn't that hard to maintain or master, hell any megaten game has a harder system to use. Of course all of these things are merely my view.

Well if you play FF8 without trying to understand the junction system its gonna be a struggle, as it was for me the very first time I played it I just jumped in and ran foward withing understanding anything about the junction system and I got killed a lot >.>

The drawback on the system is that you should never use any spells you have junctioned on a character, using one of those decreases the stat boost that it is connected to, so you're forced to decide "Do I want to use this spell, or Do I want to keep my Stats Boosted". Not to mention the mass amounts of random battles you get in that game, but then again if you want to Level you need to fight, so at least Grinding was never an issue. On my 2nd playthough everyone was Lv99 long before going to the final dungeon. Anyways you can always decrease battles with Diablos so I dont see why ppl complain about it.

Plus there's all those hidden side quests :) And man I enjoyed the card game in that one.

.hack GU Rebirth. I don't know what the hell happened with this game. They took a lot of the stuff that I thought was bad from the first four games and fixed it, but then they took alot of stuff that worked perfectly from the earlier games and screwed it up. Not to mention the fact that it's disappointingly easy. I died twice in the whole game. Neither of those deaths were against bosses.

Just beat DDS1, yesterday. So, naturally, I've got to move on to DDS2. Either that or play through DDS1 again and tackle Demi-Fiend. Ugh...


It turned out to be innovative in my book.

There's a lot of good intentions in FFVIII; the problem is they're poorly executed. Magic is pointless outside of Aura and healing spells. The only reason to go through the tedious process of drawing magic is to jack up your stats. Then you can stock Aura spells and demolish everything with limit breaks.

Besides the fact you can easily miss most of the GFs because they need to be drawn, as well, most are not worth it because of the aforementioned ability to jack up stats and demolish everything with Aura. The only GF that will outperform you is the obscenely powerful Eden, who, again, you could easily miss getting.

One might say all the drawing replaces leveling since enemies are only as strong as your party, and I guess that's true. The thing is, enemies level up with Squall, not the party, and Squall is in your party 99% of the time while the others come and go at certain points. So Squall, and therefore the enemies, are all ahead of everyone else. This, borderline, forces you to stockpile spells to keep your character's stats up instead of actually casting. In other words, the game gives you many options but at the same time discourages them.

Then there's the inane characters and storyline:*spoilers, I guess, even though I think the statute of limitations is up on this game* Irvine, the crackshot sniper who... freaks out when he's about to shoot something? You're the best the garden could offer us? How'd you get to be an ace sniper with this critical flaw? Oh, not gonna' tell us? Fine, be that way. Hey, Seifer, this romantic dream you have about wanting to be a knight, what brought this on? Not important? Gonna' go fight for Edea now? Cool. By the way, we were all best friends at an orphanage and no one remembered but Irvine.

Chromaninn I really hate people bashing on irvine after his short melt down, over the sorceress. If you remember correctly GF caused all the members of the team to lose their memories save for Irvine who for almost all of it never held a GF. He was going into an assasination of the woman who had taken care of him for most of his young life, Not every sniper is cold blooded and even after the fact he still pulled the trigger and was on mark, she merely noticed before the hit. The party doesn't level with squall, it levels with the lowest member of the team, I noticed this due to the fact that when I had rinoa (lvl 20) in my team I could never draw the most effective magic from my enemies, whilst if I had Selphie or Zell (both 70+) I would expect to have the pick of any of the magic the monster held as well having to face it's hardest attacks.

Tales of Vesperia finally arrived here, so this'll be my second Tales of-game. It's pretty fun, especially the battles if you have a friend with you.

I beat Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner yesterday. More or less, it's Shadow of the Colossus made in a pre-SoTC world.

The bosses truly are where this game shines. ZOE, moreso than other action games I've played, really emphasizes learning you opponent. The weird quirks, little puzzles through the boss battle, the couple frames where he's invulnerable, the frames where he definitely is vulnerable, the subtle animations. I'm not an action gamer - I've never touched a DMC or Ninja Gaiden - so this is new to me, but may even be standard for the rest of the genre. Regardless, each boss has a trick or two or more, puzzles much like how SoTC's bosses were puzzles.

However, coming before SoTC, it has none of its forward thinking design. Frankly, the rest of ZOE2 is pretty ####. I hear the environments are better than the first game, but this bull#### isn't even required. I do not see a need to hold on to a LEVs head, never mind do it twice. I don't need a contrived love story when the character you're "in love with" is shallow as hell. Towards the end of the game, it begins to pick up a flare for gigantic setpieces; creative, unique and free of the aformentioned bull####, showing that the developers we're almost there in making SoTC before SoTC.

Now I'm playing SMT: Nocturne. Playing with a guide since everyone makes this game out to be prision rape on a disc, difficulty-wise. I've played for two hours so far, and I can see where the hype is coming from. Honestly, I was sold on the game at the difficulty select music. The soft piano is joined with the most driving ####ing electronic bleats ever and a set of haunting vocals. It's wonderful. The game? It's creepy, almost shocking at times, with a slick sense of humour and a main character who looks like he punches holes through cars for fun sometimes the way his animation goes.

Played a little more Nocturne. It isn't hard as much as it is unforgiving. You get nailed with a critical or a weakness in this game, you're done.

I love the slick personalities of all of the demons though. Some are beyond cute (OMG PIXIE <3), some are greedy little bastards, some are honourable and opinionated. But each (so far) is different than the other, which makes Nocturne feel that much more alive. The strange juxtaposition of soothing mall music with such a seedy demon-infested world only gives Nocturne more personality. As if it needed it.

Playing Fallout 3 all day. I leveled to level 30, and got almost all achievements, only missing one!

I'm not really the type to collect achievement points to show off, I hate that, but in games I really like I try to get every achievement as a part of perfecting the game.
