I honestly haven't fired up DS in a good while either. Everytime I attempt to get through the first dungeon, it results in failure.

Also, I don't think i've heard of this 'World Guide.' Any links? I'd like to check it out myself. I had my sights set on a DS guide Entropic Soul was selling, but I forgot to check my bid and I lost. I did get his Soul Hackers guide though, very nice. Whats so depressing about it? The fact you can't read any of it?

I also despise the fact that you can actually buy Japanese guides that only cover HALF THE GAME.

EH, that is the book but it is missing the dust cover. This is like the Persona World Guidance book in that it includes both Devil Summoner and Soul Hackers. It is less of a game guide and more of a general info compendium.

I got one brand new a few years back for about $35.

I was against the 12th colossus when the game sort of just hit me (highlight for potential spoilers):

For this one, you have to "control" the colossus to get to a platform you can jump onto, so you can jump on the colossus again to stab it elsewhere. It really hit me how absolutely single minded and violent I became. This monster isn't really attacking me, yet here I am directing it to it's death. It's almost kind of scary when you realize the backstory: there is none. Unlike God of War, where you had to push a live sacrifice up the ramp, we know Kratos is a bad mofo. Wander, however, is such a blank canvas - much more so than Link - that our actions truly define him. And when I got to that colossus and realized what I was doing it really made me feel sorry for the colossus, and made me actually think why I'm doing this.

Didn't like the people, plot, monster enemies, etc. So 8's not my cup o' cola. I absolutely *love* 7, 9, and 10.

It's what makes the game interesting, I think. For me, in both FE 9 and 10, Gatrie + speed + more crits = Rolf. Yes, Rolf was a frontliner who took practically no damage... if the enemy could even hit him! Soren didn't quite make front-row status, but I didn't have to worry if I left an enemy in his range. What I DID have to worry about was a line of enemies... he kept killing them all! (And don't get me started on the number of enemies Rhys killed by bonking them with a staff in 10...) now 1 just needs to come out over here!

Currently, though, my DS is quite busy, with both Chrono Trigger and Luminous Arc 2 fighting over the slot. When I decide to sit down at the TV, FES is still on the block. I'll finish it one of these days... though the backlog there is getting very scary...

I actually have very little interest in death knights. I'm working on my shammy. Alliance are always lacking resto shammy, so I figure I can find a good guild to play with again. I just wanted to see the new content. I may start a death knight when it dies down a bit... too many people right now. But if anything, I'd probably work on my rogue or hunter (Horde side), so I can see the quests on that side too.

Now playing Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. Only an hour in. It's charming, to say the least.

Finally beat DDS 2. First time I played it I quit at the last dungeon. Now I sorta think the last dungeon is... interesting, if a bit uneventful. The bosses are pretty neat too, particularly the one before the last one and the realistic secret ones.

The ending is.. hmm.. odd!. Overall it's a pretty awesome game.

Also, finished "studying for finals: gold edition". A bit repetitive, most of the game involves retreading the stuff that was covered in the earlier parts of it. Even so, I will prolly play it again sometime in about 5 months. something about it makes me keep coming back.

I should get back to Imagine and Innocent Sin :D.

You know what, I love the SH series and honestly Homecoming wasn't one of my favorites BUT it wasn't bad like how reviewers said it was. The thing that drew me back from the game is/was the monster designs but the ending (well the Good one I guess) is sad. But this one was a lot more gory then recent SH titles.

Just like Dead Space, I enjoyed the game up until the endings. The only problem I had with Silent Hill was the number of times that I glitched onto objects and had to restart, like the time I dodged from an enemy and ended up on top of a gravestone that I couldn't get off of.

Anyways, lately I've been playing mostly Persona 4 and Patapon with a little bit of Luminous Arc 2 and PSO Ep. 3 on the side. I've also been trying to play IMAGINE, but my graphics card prevents me from getting past the first major cut-scene.

Let me know if Jeff's info helped. If you still can't get it figured out, I will check out my save file. It wouldn't take long.

A few quick tips for these Wizardry titles:

1) Stay for free at the stables. Your HP won't be replenished but your spells will be. Just go back into the maze and heal people with your priest. Repeat. Also, by doing this, you won't age as quickly.

2) During character creation (I wish I would have known this) you can re role your initial attribute point allowance. Role until you get 16-18 points.

3) Progress slowly early on. These games can be absolutely brutal. Make sure to have a thief to check out and disarm chests.

4) Obviously be aware of alignment. Good and Evil aligned characters can't party together.

5) The spell names can be tricky. There are a few guides online.

6) You want negative ratings for AC class. The lower the rating, the better. Example: -1 AC is better than +5 AC

The colossi are awesome looking and the story is good, but the controls are a bit frustrating.

They take some getting used to. Riding the horse really well basically takes practice. They're awkward, I guess, but realistic.

Tried the Skate 2 demo. It's pretty fun. Seems to improve on Skate 1 a lot, although the time limit on the demo is annoying. I'm assuming there will be no time limit in the real game. Graphics are improved, tricks are improved, the ability to walk and move objects is satisfying and so far not too annoying. I LOVED Skate so I can't wait to see if this game lives up to it. It's a shame that it's EA Black Box's last game :(.

Yeah, I'm playing it too. I think I need to restart. I'm stuck on a part where there's a long string of enemies and I have barely any health.
