I originally had the game on order with amazon, but last night I double checked my account to see if I had enough money, funny enough I was like a dollar and 23 cents under, so I cancelled it. I got the money I needed and just walked into gamestop at 3:40 and asked if they had it, they had it inside a nice display case already for sale.

Kinda glad I cancelled it, because Amazon was predicting I'd get the game from them on May 28th-june 2nd. >.>

Someone over at GT said he got 7728. That's quite a huge drop from my number. :/

It's a golden sticker that has a number on the back.

These are all done by machines, so it's possible it may have missed yours. I've worked in a factory before and seen all kinds of weird things happen with machines and the products they work on.

You could contact Atlus and ask them to send you a #00010 or lower sticker. :P

Well to start, my serial # is 36394. That being said, I just received my copy and while it came with the plush it didn't come with the actual game, the game was missing from the box. Here are some pics:

I own an item that's considered common and only had about 20,000 copies produced worldwide. Limited is a relative term. We have to put this in terms of other Atlus releases.

According to legend, very few Atlus USA titles have sold more than 100,000 copies. Several Atlus games not marketed as "limited" probably had smaller production runs than DS2. For example, rumors have Etrian Odyssey around 35,000 and Digital Devil Saga 2 just under 50,000 copies produced. I also know my local GameStop doesn't get or need 10 copies of most Atlus games.

Considering these things, I do not believe DS2+plushie is an extremely limited item. It's availability seems to be pretty typical, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is no second print run without plushies.

Anyway, don't mean to stray too far off topic. I'll post my # in about a week. :)

I disagree. It's only worth something depending on the person looking for it. Some people are happy just having it, and some are sealed freaks, and there are people who just wanna play the damn thing. I've seen the comparison on ebay between sealed and used, and the difference is usually pretty minor, like a 10 dollar difference.

Then again, an item is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. I've seen a lot of people pay a LOT of money even for used SMT games.

Anyways, I don't think I'll be pre-ordering from amazon anymore if it's gonna take that long. Like others I had mine due to ship on the 18th, and their delivery estimate to arrive was the May 28th - June 2, which is just freakin' ridiculous for a game that comes out on the 12th.

I think I'm comfortable enough at the one GS nearby, which I know has a few SMT fans, and they understand how things are with the franchise. I don't think they'd screw me out of something like a bonus or anything. Plus Same day as released is much nicer.
