View Full Version : Games you want to see continued?

What games out there do you think deserve another shot, whether it be continuing the series or a sequel?
I really enjoyed the Gex games, but I'm wondering if this series has been away too long for anyone to be interested in a Gex four.
Space Channel 5. It would be very easy to make a third game and I think there's still a decent number of fans for it to sell decently. They keep sneaking Ulala into other games so I think it's about time she be put in the spotlight again.
Gitaroo Man. Not just a port but a sequel with a toned down difficulty for beginners and a much longer game.
Psychonauts. After Brutal Legend is release I DEMAND a sequel for this game; you can't end it like that and not continue on!
Ouendan. OMG, the second game was AMAZING! I didn't like the songs as much but everything else was vastly improved. Maybe in a third game there could be an evil ouendan squad that cheers on people who do bad deeds that you need to defeat. Meh... Not that great of an idea but my scores can't get any higher on the previous games and I'm dying to cheer again!
Darkstalkers would also be nice to see. 2D is usually just fine with me but with these characters I think 3D might looks nice.
And finally, I want another Rayman game without the Rabbids. I didn't like Hoodlum Havoc as much as Revolution/The Great Escape but they were still doing really well with the series!

Retro Game Challenge 2 please. It's out there but so far nothing planned for a domestic release that I'm aware of.
I wouldnt mind Great Greed seeing a second.

Definitely the Xeno series, Grandia, and a continuation of Suikoden III's story.

More Conker's BFD, please! My favorite game of the N64 era, easily.
Also, automodellista. The gameplay of the original was horrible, but the developers practically nailed everything else. Given the chance to refine the physics, this could be a killer game.
Jet Grind Radio and Shenmue, please!

I want a sequel to Legend of Dragoon already! It made millions, sold well enough to become a greatest hits, and yet, not even a spark of interest to produce a sequel from Sony.

Power Instinct/Matrimelee -- even though I intentionally named it since it's an in-house Atlus game, I wanna get into this series. Besides, I want to get to taunt, "You got your ass kicked by granny!" XD
Growlanser -- seeing how Satoshi Urushihara has that trademark "shiny" artwork, I want to get into the series.
Marvel VS Capcom (series): I love Clash of Super Heroes, while New Age of Heroes ruined the series for me. As for X-Men VS SF, everyone can air combo (yes, even da Juggernaut, b!tchi), as MSH VS SF is cool in my book (Ryu/Sakura ftw!). C'mon, Marvel, give Capcom the green light for 3!
Strider Hiryu -- no questions asked.
Onimusha -- specifically, featuring Soki.
Darkstalkers -- I <3 them succubi.
Rival Schools -- I wanna see the students finally graduate out of high school.

A continuation of Guilty Gear in the vein of 2 would be awesome.

Rival schools - It's one of my favourite fighters.
MegaMan Legends - I recently finished 1, I'm near the end of 2, but I don't know how it ends so it might not make sense to make a 3. Either way I'd like to see a third.
Capcom vs SNK 2 - Another favourite, I'd love to see a third
Also a Killer Instinct sequel would be great.

Lufia
Chrono
SaGa
Lunar
Arc the Lad
Phantasy Star (not the online variety)
A Legend of Dragoon sequel would be nice, as well.
I wouldn't mind seeing Threads of Fate continued, but we all know that will never happen. Maybe for the best, though.

Didn't we have this discussion on the Atlus Online forums?
(Wait no nevermind ~ Different thread)
I could stand to see more Shadow Hearts games but it's not happenin'.

Many of us do not, nor will ever, go there so overlap will be inevitable.
On topic, A non-online Phantasy Star (i.e. like 1-4) would be awesome. Never happen, though.

Probably a new Legend of Dragoon. Heck, no. A remake, not a sequel. Seems I posted in the wrong topic then. I don't know, most of the series I played are complete and perfect as they are. Except, well, Xenosaga. I'd like to see the other three games.

Main series Suikoden, most certainly. Tierkreis was good, but there's not a whole lot else to explore in that world. I want to see more about Harmonia, the Sindar, and all the other wonderful unexplored pieces of the Suikoden world. I'd also like to see Farouche and McDohl pop up again, but that's just me daydreaming.

SmileBit are busy milking the Mario & Sonic cashcow... but yeah those would be fantastic Wii games! They would both be perfect fit, as long as they get the graffiti sequence right in JSRW (Okami was painful)

Do you believe in the whole "If Megaman classic was put in Marvel VS Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes back in 1998 and had his official and proper sequel in 2008, then, shouldn't be the same applied to Megaman Trigger, since he just showed up in Tatsunoko VS Capcom just last year?" schtick?
Oh, by the way, I want to see Konami force Hudson to revive Bloody Roar.

But TvC was full of Capcom's "dead" characters. :(
I can't believe I didn't think of Legends 3. I've wanted that since I played Legends 1. Yes, Legends 1.

inb4 you write back Ray -- I just remembered that Headstrong pitched a Jet Set game to SEGA sometime last year, but the idea was rejected (OR WAS IT?). That's probably what you were referring to. I still think no one else but Smilebit should handle these series.

Interesting thread...let's see here...
Nectaris: Military Madness was for Playstation. Bring an updated version and a sequel.
Neo Nectaris, which was for the Turbo Duo, same as the above line. Neo Nectaris was in Japanese for the Turbo Duo.
Chrono Trigger. Cross doesn't count IMHO.
Updated version of Ballistix which was released for the Turbografx-16. Be interesting to see what the graphics look like in modern.
Sequel to Cosmic Fantasy 2 which was released for the Turbo Duo.
The Bonk series.
Neutopia series from the Turbografx-16, even though the game is a take off (or looks like it) of the Zelda series.
Another shot of Ehrgeiz. I liked that game.
A TBS version of Halo. That'd be neat. Won't happen I know.

Nectaris: You're in for a surprise... (http://www.wiichat.com/nintendo-wii-gaming/58817-wiiware-military-madness-aka-nectaris-hudson.html)
Cosmic Fantasy: Never gonna happen, if only because it was a Telenet series and that company went under in late 2007. But you said sequel to CF2? The series has five games (#4 is split in two parts).
Bonk: There's a really cool PS2/GC remake (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ6f7ntHRL8) you can get for cheap these days.
Neutopia: Doubtful that would happen. While it was my grandma's favorite series, I don't think Jazeta would have much appeal today. Hudson tried a Dungeon Explorer remake -- that clearly failed.

A new Dragon Force would be orgasmic.
Another Radiata Stories would be cool too, I loved that game and still feel I didn't get enough of it.
Also :
GrimGrimoire 2
A new team ICO game.
Etrian Odyssey 3
A new final Fantasy Tactics without the Advance tag.
Live A Live remake or sequel.
A current gen Mother 4.
Probably more that I can't be bothered thinking of. It's all mostly wishful thinking anyway.

I'd rather not have S-E keep milking money out of the Ivalice name. At least not without Matsuno.
I wouldn't mind a continuation of:
- Bleach DS (another fighter by Treasure & focus on the Arrancar storylines)
- ZOE
- Guilty Gear (not another revision, but a real sequel with new characters)
- Okami

Same with FFVII saga xD but i wasn't talking about Ivalice. I only want a FF tactic like the first one (story) the other tactic doesn't have a good plot. You are a normal kid, enter to an strange world and playing like a hero with a clan, the system is not bad at all but the story

Quick follow-up on the Cosmic Fantasy 2 thing. Apparently, well make that "according to Vic Ireland", CF2 may come to the Virtual Console someday (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=15839744&postcount=163)!

Chrono Cross-i actually liked cross more than trigger personally.
Wild arms series-Do i even need to explain this?
Golden sun-I liked it personally.
Rogue Galaxy-I loved this game, i'd love to see a sequel.
Last Bible series-I'd love to see a new one of these, if just to see how well atlus can make a fantasy rpg now, plus i like the series.
Brave fencer musashi-again, it was too awesome to not want a sequel.
Anyway, i know only wild arms has a good chance of coming back, but a man can dream can't he:D.

I would like to see some more of Shadow of Destiny. Not necessarily the same characters, but perhaps a new storyline involving pretty much the same thing.
As someone else mentioned earlier, I'd love to see another Bloody Roar game.
I'd also like to see another Tail Concerto. CC2 is still making their damned Naruto titles, they should throw something else out there. Heck, I'd even like another .Hack series.
I'd also like to see another BlaZeon or Pieces title, perhaps on WiiWare or PSN/XBL.
As I've been whining about for a few years, I'd also like to see another Outbreak game.
EDIT: A .Hack on a console, not the PSP one coming out soon.

I'd like to see these:
Thousand Arms
Xenosaga (the last 3) <-- more of a joke, since its not happening
Legend of Dragoon, even if I havent finished the first one yet
Id like to see SOMETHING done for Final Fantasy VIII. I hate to say a sequel because the story is fine where it is and the graphics aged fairly IMO, but they were going to do a game starring Seifer, which would've been better than nothing. Some people want a prequel about Laguna, but we pretty much got his story and it wasn't that interesting in the first place. I'd prefer to see more of a sidestory of some sort, or maybe something in the same universe but much much later in the chronology.
BTW, to whoever said they liked Cross better, I agree!

A new Dragon Force did happen, but it wasn't localized because it was mediocre at best. Even Sega seems to have ignored it, since only the first one got the Sega Ages treatment.

Viewtiful Joe 3. We were promised a trilogy.
I'd also like to see the Lufia series continued.
I don't usually lose sleep over a series ending as long as its plot reaches a conclusion. Sometimes there's simply nothing that needs to be added.

Games I want to see continuations of?
Xeno(Saga/Gears) - I want to see chapter 6, especially after reading the Xenogears Perfect Works book.
Gunvalkyrie - This game is so underrated and the whole concept would work perfectly on the Wii.
Metroid - Back to the 2d. Zero Mission was a step in the right direction. Prime/Fusion was not.
Panzer Dragoon - Never had a bad game. Even the Game Gear one.
