The game has stopped me right in my tracks. I am in the castle where you have to destroy the statues to open the door, and I cannot break the fourth one to open the aforementioned door. Can anyone help?

Go up the stairs then break it with your sword.

for some reason, I can't break it.

I'm not sure then. All I did was go up the stairs, then hit it from its right side. You have to push it to the right first, of course.

Move around a bit while you are up there. I found you had to be in the "right" spot because the first place I picked wouldn't let me use my sword. I adjusted and wham, broke it, and moved on.

Thanks, Decept. I'll try that.

Edit: It worked! thanks a bunch!

This part threw me for a loop, too, but for a different reason. You know how if you examine the statues from the wrong side, it'll say "You can't push it from this direction"? And if you're at the right side, it'll say "You can push it from this direction". I kept misreading that "can" as "can't", for about 15 minutes :\ I kept reloading my save, because I became convinced that the other breakable statues were somehow part of the puzzle.

^ hahah. I too didn't notice the difference between can and can't at first! A bit later I was really stuck at the "tables" part... I couldn't figure out how to push the middle one downstairs, until I realized what it was that was blocking it...

Those are some dumb puzzles but they can still leave you confused if you don't pay attention...

It was that second teleporter thingy in the first dungeon that got me, I wandered around fighting for a good half hour waiting on it to finish and it never did. Does anyone know if it ever DOES finish?

I just finished the fight with the (Not so) Little Mermaid and her friend Flounder, and met up with Koma again. (Speaking of Koma, I'm very disappointed her theme isn't on the CD, it's the best one in the game. :frown:)

I know. "Do the Koma!" is my favorite song in the game. It's one more incentive to get a new game+.

I'm half tempted some times to just go to her shop, put my DS on the charger, and just sit there listening to that song. XD

Sorry to hijack the thread but, speaking of theme songs, does anyone know if "Butterfly" by Perfume made it into the english version of the game? The song had a strange feel to it, but was kinda cool (I left the game on the menu for a while, but I got impatient and just started the game).

No man, it was only used in the Japanese ads. It was never actually IN the game.

And it is by far one of Nakata's best compositions!!!

Aw, too bad, I'm gonna have to nab Perfume's CD then.

Oh, good. I haven't played the game yet, but I was going back to that stupid transporter every chance I get, because I figured it might be a secret. If you go back there eventually, I'll stop bothering :)

Cinder6 has a special power where he can touch a DS game and read the lines of code held within it and know what's going on...

I am not sure what to do after I beat the goblin that came out of the portal (the crash site after the very first city you go to).

Thanks in advance.

You have to go to the cross gate you passed by in the world map.

Exactly! Actually, uh, I didn't read what I typed :| Should have read "I haven't beaten". That particular special power of mine only works with Sega Master System games.
