I have to say you guys have been going like crazy on all the new games coming out with spring and summer. I was just curious if you have any new ones lined up for deadlines closer to the end of the year. I just look at the timeline of releases and wonder what will be coming out closer to Christmas. I hope you guys take a nice vacation for a couple weeks to celebrate all your work on this batch of releases. I wish I could take a couple weeks off to play through them.... Sadly I'm willing to bet they will last me until Christmas hehehe.

Well, Persona PSP has been announced for this fall, and apart from that there's mmph mmmmrrmmmmmmrrr mmmbbmmmmmrr!

I hope you're not expecting them to reveal anything they haven't officially announced yet because that ain't gonna happen (maybe the ESRB will, though!)

I'd expect Persona to be released post-June but who knows (besides the employees) (EDIT: now I know that for sure. Darn, took me quite a darn while to find that smilie, lol). Other than that, I wouldn't be surprised if they have licenses acquired but haven't announced, or are in the process of getting some new ones.

No I don't expect anything official but you never know if they would be allowed to tease us with a detail or two anyway as a way of pre-advertising. :D Never hurts to try heheheh.

That may have been a hint that they are planning on making an announcement or announcements at E3.

Wait Atlus does E3? lol. Didn't they drop out of ESA or whatever it's called like practically every other company?

Well in any case, I suppose I finally have a reason to keep an eye out this time around. Oh yeah that and Nintendo, because I decided if nothing of interest (zelda) is announced for Wii, I'm selling the damn thing (wii).

I could've sworn I read about a company attending E3 even though they didn't renew their ESA membership. I wonder if I can find it... (I may be mistaken) EDIT: And it seems I was. I can't find it.

Still, I don't think Atlus dropped out of the ESA did they? They just refused to participate in the event.

I'm not sure how Onion's comment could be interpreted otherwise, but Atlus USA were at E3 in the past and will definitely be there this year (http://www.siliconera.com/2009/02/02/who-is-attending-e3-this-year-atlus-and-friends/).

That said, bar's been raised pretty high with Q1+Q2!!! Not sure how they can top that!

obvious answer is Brandish PSP

A few things: Being in the ESA isn't a prerequisite for attending E3. There're always a lot of little dudes who have occupied space who may not even develop games, but controllers, or they distribute games to mom and pop stores, or any other facet of the industry you could think of.

I wouldn't say we "refused" to participate last year, so much as politely declined.

Like Jeffx said, we will be there this year.

I hope you guys take a nice vacation for a couple weeks to celebrate all your work on this batch of releases.

I fully support this idea and you fans should buy enough of our games to make it happen.

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up (about the necessity of ESA membership for an E3 booth) as I was wondering about that.

And yes, "refused" is the wrong word as I remember Mr. Jabbari's statement (via Kotaku):

"The nature of the show changed when they changed it from a consumer show to an invite-only press show," he said. "A lot of things have changed, but our participation doesn't have to do so much with the changes... we just chose not to exhibit this year and we do wish the ESA and all the exhibiting companies the best of luck."

Ok...really now....

What does Q1+Q2 mean?

I am pretty sure it was meant as Quarter 1 and Quarter 2, like splitting up the year into quarters.

I'll get right on that then.

Quarter 1 + Quarter 2. They refer to their respective fourths (3 months) of the year. So what he's saying is, we now know Atlus' portfolio for the 1st two quarters (right looking to be topped off with Persona), and it'll be hard (maybe read: "interesting") for them to top that in the second half of the year.

Brandish PSP (a.k.a: Brandish: The Dark Revenant) is remake of an Action RPG by Nihon Falcom in (I believe) 1991.

LOL! I totally misread the post...
I thought he was referring to the success of a couple of games, not their financial success in Fiscal Quarters 1 and 2. I HATE acronyms...

Sorry for my stupid. Thank you for the clarifications.

Yeah, that's cool, but we were more interested in what you guys are doing.

Really? Nobody generally cares about us. Thanks for noticing.

This weekend I played some Street Fighter IV. I got tuned up something fierce. (If you play a guy on Xbox Live who can't seem to do a freaking fireball, but can will erratically perform all other moves, that's me.)

I had some friends over and cooked lasagna, drank some wine, watched the NBA and NHL Playoffs...and that's what I've been doing. Now you know.

YES. Atlus just got awesomer.

Not really too much of a chance to drop hockey references into games, sadly.

It's not like there was an ice hockey club in P4.

Not even in anime. The closest I saw was the pool hockey sequence in School Rumble. There's a "Heavenly Hockey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Heavenly_Hockey_Club)" manga but... I'm not sure of its intended demographics ;)

Get a PS3 I want to play against people from Atlus

I also have a PS3. But my roommate bought the fight stick for the 360, so I've only got the 360 version of SFIV.

But you can try and beat some of my Super Stardust HD high scores. :)

I don't have SSHD and I don't intend to buy it so I guess no Atlus fighting for me

I've been doing my part with Dark Spire, Suber Robot Taisen, Dokapon Kingdom, Lagacy of Y's, Luminous Arc 2, and My World My Way. Still got preorders on Steal Princess, SMT: Devil Survivor, and Knights in the Nightmare. Sadly I may have to look at getting a new battery for my DS at the rate I'm going lol.

Here's to hoping you can afford a trip someplace nice and warm with white sand and plenty of beer vs the camping ground a couple miles down the way. :D

Honestly, I don't see any major announcements coming from Atlus USA at E3, there will probably be a couple for fall but nothing SMT related (which I care about), as I think Atlus Japan will do that at TGS 2009 instead, I'd be pretty surprised if there was a new SMT game announced at E3 though.

More like it better be for PS3. Seriously, the console has been out for two and half years almost, and still not even one title on the platform by Atlus be it published or developed. I know the platform is expensive to develop on, but even NiSA has been publishing on it and their parent company developing for it, and they aren't any bigger than Atlus. Every other platform has at least one game.

eh. No box is entitled to have games from anyone. It's business and if you want said dev or publisher's games, you just have to buy their box of choice (I did). At best, hope for expanded dev for the 360 and hope for a same day launch ports and without major problems. :p

I welcome anything they have to offer on any currently viable box; this includes the PSP and its ... fourth wind now(?).

I own practically every platform (PSP, PS2, PS3, Wii, DS, GBA, GC, etc), so that isn't really of my concern, I wasn't saying it because they are releasing stuff on a platform I don't own. My point is, my PS3 hasn't gotten any Atlus love yet.

Hopefully we hear something on that SMT game announced back in 2005 for PS3 soon. Far as I'm concerned it's still being made due to a statement Atlus has made in their "Questions" thread, that being they never announce anything unless they were 100% sure about it. I haven't heard anything about it being cancelled either.
