View Full Version : Skellitorman's Unofficial Tier list UNDER SKELLITORMANS RULES (character spoilers)

I think its about time that people have some sort of tier list (UNDER SKELLITORMAN'S RULES) floating around so I am going to list what I think is going to be close to the real tier list (UNDER THOSE RULES). Also realize that although one character may beat another character much higher in the tier list they could be much lower in the tier list due to the negative impacts of having that character on your team.

I guess I will put a very BRIEFLY explained reason for their placement

If you have any questions or comments then feel free to do w/e.

Top Tier
1. Althea- If this were Chess, then Althea would be like the King. She is essential to any match. Resurrect/ ignis/ good move, jump/ borderline AO. You need Althea because of res. No Althea is like forfeiting the match from the beginning.
2. Fatima- If this were Chess then Fatima would be like the Queen. Excellent magic/ good physical/ plus the addition of jewel makes her quite deadly. She is a very powerful fighter with the biggest range in the game, along with Althea. When used correctly, she is just overwhelmingly devastating. The occasional freeze is a nice bonus as well.

High Tier
3. Luna- Luna needs skanda/skanda/ stone or she will not function. Don’t even think about giving her any other setup. In MOST cases her heal completely voids an attack since it can heal 1165.5, which oddly enough is the same exact damage that Sadie can do with jewel/crystal/crystal. There are very, very few moves that can do much more damage than aero twister in this setup. In general though her heal will make you live for another attack. She has long range attacks and even though she is weak she can potentially kill people with low life.
4. Karen- As a long range physical fighter she is quite powerful because of her arts/ stats. She is very versatile as well, and is difficult to approach. It’s difficult to explain just how dangerous she truly is.
5. Sadie- High AO/ HIGH jump/ HIGH move/plus wings/, Sadie gets around very quickly and unhindered, while causing a lot of damage very quickly. If using sonar passion as a main weapon one wouldn't even have to use nirvana on her which makes her lapis slots free for w/e.
6. Ayano- Silver seal is just amazing, and can be cast on anyone, not just herself. With HIGH AO/ move/ she gets around very quickly to cause some major damage. Her FD is just way too good and she kills people very quickly. I would have to say that she is quite a hard character to use though, and many people use her incorrectly.

Middle Tier
7. Josie- A very tricky character to use, like Ayano. Decent magic power yet although not strong has confuse/stun/ revive arts. If used right this character can be a major threat.
8. Roland- Above average in most stats with high life, Roland is a versatile fighter. Good offense/ def/ high AO/ plus engage makes him a considerable threat.
9. Therese- A powerhouse character, but that’s all she is pretty much. With average AO/ move/ jump/ she rarely gets to attack like most melee characters. Her setup pretty much needs a paragon or two if you plan on hitting anyone. If you give her Skanda then at least she can move as quickly as Roland. Stone is not really useful for her because she will survive for two hits anyways in most cases (Sadie with jewel/crystal/crystal won’t kill her in one shot because it only does 1554 damage). Once she has FD she becomes a very frightening character to get near.
10. Pop- If she didn’t have such low Move she would be a much better char. Regardless Pop is a super strong fighter who doesn’t need paragons to destroy people like Therese because her attack is unmissable. She is kind of like Roland, except with slightly less life/AO/move and if she ever does get to hit someone it can be very damaging (and if she had a jewel her MAG attacks AND physical attacks are unhindered by def/res). With land sting and yggdra form she can also attack far away and do good damage because of jewel.
11. Rina- Talk about getting the short end of the stick. Rina is so overshadowed by Karen that it isn’t even funny. Her arts/stats just suck. If you want to ever hit with loop shot, or shadow shot you have to give her equipment that makes her weak, because if you give her the Artemis she gets -40 to tech but 120 to attack. She needs like two paragons + the Artemis just to even match Karen's attack stat. Still her stats are around average and she can potentially be quite strong. Also with poison shot, you can make some interesting strategies…
12. Dia- Low AO/ but good move. If you give her one skanda she can be on par with Althea in the AO. With nirvana/ and jewel she can attack a total of ten spaces away and do good damage. Treatment can be a life saver and it can get people 7 spaces away so she can do some good things. However the other witches really overshadow her.



Low Tier
13. Pip- Under these new rules regen mass is no longer very effective. With borderline AO, you don’t need skandas so you got 3 free lapis slots to do w/e, though Vigor/stone/(whatever) seems to be one of the best set ups for him. If you want an extra reviver (and already have Luna), but you don’t like Josie, then Pip is for you.
14. Richter- Not much to say about Richter. Great he has really high AO but his attacks are so bad. His healing move is very poor under these rules, and it has shorter range than pip's/Luna’s. He can still get around though and can still do some things here and there.
15. Gaston- He is an iron wall like he says, but just like and iron wall he doesn’t really move. With low AO/ move Gaston isn’t going to be moving a lot period. He is just a wall that is there to not let the opponent pass a certain choke point. He theoretically can be useful though, but he isn’t going to do much.
16. Kaph- Low AO/ move/ but can confuse/ silence/ heal status and life. Given that he has at least one skanda he would have 40 AO like Althea. He also has heavy shot + FD which can do some damage. He will probably never be used but still he is better than some people.

Bottom Tier
17. Alice- Wow how useless. Low AO/ move, and even less jump than Kaph. Her arts are all the same but has different element bonus on who you attack, though they all have small range + they are still weak compared to the other witches. How useless. Only good thing she has is her FD.
18. Rasche- A slower, weaker, less life/ def than Gaston. Sigh. There is no hope for Rasche.

I think Kaph should be much higher.
With orbs banned, Kaph is the only one who can give status effects from long range. Kaph now is now a lot more powerful since most people won't have auto-meds equipped anymore.

While it's true that Kaph's the only potential long-range confuser, I think the biggest problem is that it's only a "potentail" confuse. You can't depend completely on confuse shot actually confusing since it's only 50%.

Kaph might be too fraile and slow to actually put his abilities to good use. I do, however think that he maybe could be above gaston, since Gaston can't even be the "super invincible wall of doom" anymore now that he can't have more than one wall while Kaph at least has the "potential" to win you the game. But yeah, I guess Kaph is more of a "potential" threat than an "actual threat". First you need to get him in range, and then the odds are still just 50/50... not to mention that Luna might be around AND confused chars don't always do completely stupid moves that are devasting for their own teams. That's the problem.
