...what this game is. Does it play like an RPG where you go from town to town and fight random battles, or is it an SRPG. I like the fights, but what happens outside the fights? Or is it just a string of fights? I catch glimpses of a map in the trailers (when my eyes aren't distracted by other things...*ahem*), which makes it look lik an RPG.

It's basically a RPG with fighting elements mixed in and yes there's moving around in dungeons and outside on the world map, but in a town you select menus. Just don't think of it as a Tales game (real-time combat) because this is still turn-based. It's somewhat like the Namco X Capcom battle system, but more refined.

You can also look at the Atlus' site for the game and click on the System tab to learn what's going on in combat.

There's a lot of variation in the combat to make you keep playing and trying out different move sets so it's very enjoyable....to me at least ;)

I've had this pre-ordered ever since I heard Atlus was localizing it.
