^No one from any company will ever confirm whether they would or wouldn't have localized a particular title.

Oh that sucks but still I have a deep feeling that Atlus would hav localized it since they have released some of their games on the system like Trauma Center. Darn company secrets.

Trauma Center is an Atlus series, not Vanillaware.

EDIT: Or do you mean to say you believe so because Atlus USA has localized Wii games in the past?

^I believe he is referring to Atlus publishing titles on the Wii.

You're confusing the topic creator! He clearly has no idea who Vanillaware is.

I agree with post #2. The admins and mods usually know what they are talking about. That's why they're in charge.

You can daydream and speculate all you want about what-if scenarios, but nobody is going to divulge details about any secret bidding wars for a game's rights nor will they confirm that such meetings took place. That said, I'm sure the people at Atlus USA think Vanillaware is pretty cool.

Well yes I didn't know about Vanillaware until Odin Sphere but what I was talking about is the art style.

Vic Ireland sure did during the bid war for RayStorm, and RayCrisis.

I share the topic creators sentiments though, it would have been nice to see Atlus' stamp on the Muramasa box.

Marumasa? Why would I want to localize some knockoff game? Who did that one? Chocolateware?

But if you are referring to Muramasa, I would have been hard-pressed to choose between my first born child and localizing that game. Fortunately, the fine people at Ignition, Marvelous, XSeed, and Vanillaware have alleviated me (and probably the rest of the staff) from having to make that choice.

Heh heh.

I hope I'm not rude in saying I have a hard time following some people here.

It was a PC game that was unrelated (in terms of story and continuity) to the PS2 game, despite having similar characters. or something crazy like that...
