Amazon.ca delay

My Amazon.ca pre-order was delayed to May 12 2009 - May 22 2009, anyone experiencing the same thing?

Same here. I want this game so bad it's really not cool. I'll check the stores close to where I work this weak and if they have it I'll pick it up and cancel my pre-order. It's the first time I experience that kind of delay for a pre-ordered game from amazon.ca and I hope it's the last cause by getting the game a month after it's release kind of kill the whole pre-order to get the game on time thingy.

Just curious, but aren't there any other online options for Canada? You guys seem to be continuously screwed by Amazon.ca when it comes to Atlus titles, but people keep ordering from them.

I'm looking at the moment but didn't find anything. I even tried to order from amazon.com wich usually works it just cost a bit more because of money exchange rate but for this game it's not working. I'll keep looking for something else but all the stores I usually buy from don't carry it.

Is it that much cheaper than places like Tronixweb (where it is 29.95)? And does saving a little money really matter if you aren't receiving the game or the preorder swag to begin with?

edit - If I had the start up money, and if shipping out of the 'States to Canada wasn't so ridiculously expensive, I would totally start a game service that catered to Canada. That isn't a joke either. I can't believe how cruddy Amazon.ca sounds.

www.gamesforcanada.com (http://www.gamesforcanada.com), run by some awesome CT dude. That's how I got my hands on Ultimate Shooting Collection and a couple others unavailable up here. I spend a lot of time out of the country but when I'm up in Canada for longer stretches, I rely on this guy for hard-to-get games.

amazon.ca really isn't that bad, especially for Atlus games. Its main advantage is that it runs on Canadian funds -- don't forget the exchange rate has been atrocious for the past couple months. I "lost" thousands of dollars in salary because of unfavorable currency conversion.

When the pre-order bonus is going to be packaged with the game, which is the case with recent Atlus DS releases, Amazon.ca can't screw us so I pre-order with them. When the pre-order bonus is not physically strapped with the game, I buy from another online Canadian store which is costlier but didn't screw me of my pre-order bonus yet.

My Amazon.ca order is delayed too but I think it may be a whole Canada thing. I've been trying to pick it up at the local EBs as well and none of them have received their copies yet. I don't imagine they'll actually take until May 12 - 22 like Amazon is saying though. That would be a bit much. Has anyone in Canada been able to find this game?

The EBgames next to where I work is getting it tomorrow so I reserved one there and cancelled my pre-order from amazon. Finally.

The delay was a lot shorter than planned, Amazon.ca claimed that it just did ship my package, so I will probably receive it tomorrow or friday.

Well, I pre-ordered from amazon.COM and it's supposedly not going to arrive until Saturday. Their distribution really sucks if you don't live in a major urban area.

Well I guess the dumb @$$%er now cause the EBgames told me today that there's a delay till May 1st. Screw them, I just checked on amazon.ca and they have it in stock so I ordered from them again with the 1 day shipping. I should've wait. I think I learned an important lesson! :)

Well, it would seem EBGames is full of ####, since I'm in Quebec and I got it from my local Microplay on the 17th.

Apparently, some random dude from Laval just received the game. The said dude is going to have a hard time to figure out if he's going to play Okami or The Dark Spire tonight, if he got the time that is.

I'm not in Canada, and it's not Amazon that's screwing me, but... I got it NEW from Gamestop, actually even checked to make sure if the CD was in there (It was, and had a rubberband around it. Looked REAL classy). Then of course I get home and figure it's time to give this bad boy a play, and... there's no cartridge in the box :( Hopefully they correct their mistake right away when I go to get it corrected today instead of trying to call it fraud or some such nonsense...
