This might be jumping the gun a bit, but since Atlus released the first one, couldn't hurt to garner interest for the second one!

So uh, yeah. Bring it please, Atlus! It even promises to not have the same battle system as the first!

Unless they overhauled the battle engine completly.

100% pass

EDIT

The trinity ring system, love it or hate it, is out too since the game system is newly established.

I do enjoy the boobage though.

This is what I’ve learnt so far:

- the game is using the Unreal 3.0 engine (like most X360 RPGs out there).
- the story's main theme is ‘destiny and sacrifice.’
- there will be plenty of side quests for the player who likes to explore everything.
- six characters have been revealed. The usual cast of warriors and murderers: Jut, the protagonist who has somehow managed to lose his memory, the exiled queen Luzefilda, the beautiful fencer Melissa, the giant warrior Argo, chancellor Schuensaid who apparently assassinated the former queen and Erga, an extremely violent murderer.
- the game will be shipping sometimes this year (in Asia I presume).

And here are some pics:

Looks SO much better than the first. MC1 presentation & design + non-crappy gameplay = win.

So if Namco's publishing it in Japan, that means Atlus can't release it here?

Tatsuki

I don't think that's necessarily true. AT2 was published in Japan by Bandai-Namco, and NISA were able to publish it in the US.

Yeah, but with Unreal Engine 3 being used I wouldn't be surprised if Namco Bandai announces the game themselves, mainly due to the purty graphics.

The character designs for the guys don't seem as effeminate as Magna Carta 1, but the females still seem to have Taki tits and tank-bearing hips.

Still, I didn't downright hate Magna Carta 1, so I'll be looking forward to this unless trailers and gameplay footage prove me wrong.

I would prefer if Atlus somehow localized this game, and not Namco-Bandai, because that way I KNOW we'd be getting that artbook as well. Also, besides being a better company in the first place, Atlus wouldn't screw us over later like NB would with DLC costumes, new characters, or a bunch of pay-to-cheat crap like buying gold, levels, piano music keys, etc...

I agree. Atlus is definitely better at the localization.

But then again with Bandai-Namco, we might actually get the chance for it to be dual audio...

Atlus was the one of the first publishers to even consider implementing dual-audio into their games, and I'm sure that if it were possible to do, they do it.

However, if this were on the PS3, dual audio would be more likely. I doubt the DVDs will have enough space.

That cover art is sick, BTW.

Well considering that this is being distributed and possibly produced (not developed) by Namco/Bandai, then there is a slight possibility of a PS3 port later down the road (ala Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia). I actually enjoyed the first game, and I would want to play this one as well, but I don't have a 360. So I am hoping, but not holding my breath for a Ps3 port.

There's always a possibility, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The 360 is a console well worth owning, anyway. It'll probably be in your best interests to pick one up eventually.

BandaiNamco wouldn't have control over porting this time though, they're only localizing it. And it's through the Banpresto arm, which is its own company.

You could wait, but then you'd have to hear that Softmax (the Korean dev/publisher) has started PS3 development, not to mention that its UE3.

Yeah, I'm kind of amazed that my suggestion for Absolute Blazing Infinity didn't get this kind of post... It actually got only support.

It seems most people still don't want to leave their PS2s yet... Can't blame them, though, since I still play it alongside my Xbox 360 and, occasionally, Wii.

It is being done by Namco Bandai. IGN XBOX 360 just recently screened the U.S version trailer on the site.

The following VAs can also be heard as well;
Johnny Yong Bosch - main character
Yuri Lowenthal
Michelle Ruff - main character's supposed childhood friend.

Lol, it's funny still seeing PS3 owners complaining that the 360 is still getting the vast majority of RPGs, if you wanted a nowgen system for RPGs then you probably should have done more research on your console instead of just depending on the Sony name to come through...

Anyway, didn't caref or the first game, but this one looks better at least. I'll wait until it comes out before I say anything else though, but like always, it's also good seeing more Asian RPGs on the 360. :)

Yeah....I bought mine before the influx of RPGs started showing up on "next gen consoles". You can't really do much research then when nothing is announced can you? Many bought it because since PSX days, Sony platforms has been the choice for RPGs.

There is definitely a huge user base there, as proven by White Knight Chronicle, and the fact that it's first week of sales sold more than three high profile JRPGs combined on the 360 in Japan.

From what I read, a lot of the developers are picking the 360 for one of two reasons (or both).

1. Development is extremely easy on the platform, and it goes fairly quick for them, thus making it cheap for them.

2. It's a well known fact that Microsoft is trying to build it's user base in Japan, thus they pay for time-exclusivity at least to gain more people there.

So this is coming to 360 here? Pretty freakin awesome. The reason I went and got the cheap Xmas 360 bundle (still pissed about no backwards compatability, seeing as I never had an Xbox) was because Star Ocean 4, Tales of Vesperia, Symphonia II, Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery... the only RPGs Ive wanted for PS3 are Disgaea 3, Valkyria Chronicles, and Demon's Souls... My main want for a PS3 is that their online stuff is free.

All 360s have limited BC, you just need to get a hard drive and a game that is BC and it will automatically download the update when you put the game in and the console is connected to Live.

Yes, because there is absolutely no precedent for 360 "exclusive" JRPGs to get a later port to the PS3, typically with added content.

I'd say don't be dense, but, well...
