and I was wondering, Why does sonic team still exist? to my knowledge they have not made a single decent title in the last 6 years, and sonic and the black knight ranks up there with ET in terms of bad game design.

long story short. I hated it. speaking of short, that's what it was. I beat it in one sitting. 5 hours is not adequite bang for your buck. however, seeing as it's so terrible, the short length turned out to be something of a blessing.

I beat Too Human in one sitting.

Then again, that sitting was half a day...

Well, anyway, the last Sonic title I liked was Sonic Adventure Battle 2. They should make a sequel to that. Loved the Chao system, and it was pretty long because it had three storylines.

Sonic games have been complete #### since they started trying to be something bigger. I loved the first Sonic on Dreamcast, whatever it was called. Since then, I've been a sad panda.

1-3 and the Sonic n Knuckles games were great, esp since you coul hook up S&K to Sonic 2 or 3 to play as knuckles. I also liked the Sonic Pinball game, but those were the only ones I liked.

I still can't play Sonic and the Secret Rings at all. I can't jump at all no matter how many times I try in the tutorial that's how bad it is (or I just suck). anyways enjoyed Sonic Unleashed (360) and my favorite so far is Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Advance 2.

^Sonic Rush on the DS isn't bad.

Sonic and the Black Knight was the only recent sonic game that I truly disliked due to design flaws. When switching between 3D and 2D views in Black Knight the control scheme seemed to turn to nothing more than holding a direction and hoping that I stayed on the same path when the camera changed. Minus the terrible load times, I even could tolerate 2006 Sonic, and I never really had the problems everyone else had with Secret Rings.

I would also love to see another Sonic Adventure title. Even though Sonic Adventure 2 was basically playing the same game twice for Hero and Dark, it's still my favorite in the series (The GameCube one over the Dreamcast one, specifically for easier Chao raising).

I was even a fan of Sonic Unleashed, a game that many other people hated. If they would have added more characters to play as and a Chao system, I would've bought it earlier.

Rub Rabbits was the most recent Sonic Team game I liked.

Sonic on the Dreamcast was indeed great. (One of the only DC games I've played in fact.) I haven't tried any of the ones after that tho, but they look like crap.

Every sonic game since shadow has been utter garbage (excluding rush, of course, but even that they managed to f*** up in the sequel)

Sonic Team needs to stop marketing towards children, and realize that their fan base, and what should be their target market, are adults now. Obviously, I don't want to see mature content in a Sonic game, but Sonic Team, please - stop making games for ten year olds.

The 3D Dreamcast Sonics were decent, but pretty much everything since then has been ass. I was looking forward to Sonic Unleashed, until they introduced that Werehog ####, then I lost interest.

I really wish Sonic Team would bounce back. Sonic used to be one of my favourite games, and now I've lost pretty much all interest.

I liked Sonic Rush a lot. It was developed co-developed by Dimps, though, IIRC.

I couldn't disagree more. I think this is the main problem. They need to stop focusing on an older demographic, and just go back to what makes Sonic, Sonic.

Sorry to hear it sucked so bad. Yah I loved Sonic games.... back on the Genesis. I think the last Sonic game I bought and liked was the collection for the PS2.

QFT.

Apparently the Sonic Team can't get it through their thick skull that, they need to stick to at least 2.5D SIDE SCROLLING only, no more new characters and no more worthless "game designs" such as werehogs and whatnot.

Did Sonic Team do the Phantasy Star Universe games? I think those games are the only good games Sonic Team release lately.

Not exactly related, but one of the best games Sega (not Sonic Team) ever released is Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3. (b^^)b

Sega seems to have a better grasp on RPG concepts than platforming these days if you ask me.

You need to play some Panzer Dragoon, son.

Or Jet Set Radio.
Or Daytona USA.
Or Shenmue.
Or...you get the point. Valkyria is pretty ace, but I think there are better Sega games. Granted, I just watched someone play it, so I can't truly say that.
