Hey guys I just sawovr at NeoGaf.com that the there wil be three Tales of games and a movie coming this year to Japan (sorry US/EU)

1. Tales of Vesperia coming to PS3 with extras and new playable character.(finally) :D
2. Tales of Vesperia anime movie
3. Tales of Graces for Nintendo Wii (mothership title)
4. Tales of Versus for PSP (AKA fighting game)

I've never played a Tales game. I really wanted to get Vesperia when it came out, though.

Not really. They've always been 10 times worse than Final Fantasy as far as this is concerned.

I still like both series, though.

No way. Namco is far worse. By far. To no end.

Depends. So far, there are 3 rereleases of Phantasia (PSX, PSP, GBA) and 2 rereleases of Destiny and Eternia (All Sony) whereas FF1, 2, and 4 got almost countless ports and remakes (Wonderswan, PSX, GBA, DS, PSP, mobile, you name it).

But in terms of new games, yeah, Tales of games takes the proverbial cake (well not completely due to all the SE games with the FF13 name slapped on them).


Oh and I notice a Tales of fighter. So that means we have a guy with a sword versus a guy with a sword versus a guy with two swords versus a guy with a curved sword. Nice.

and it better have Leon or... Judas in it.

I'm pissed off that Vesperia is getting a PS3 port.

But if they were gonna add in a new playable character, they should've added in Flynn.

I wonder if Vesperia PS3 will get localized.

Motherspaceship title doesn't really mean much if they farm it out to TOSE, Alfa system or some other outside dev. and with a lousy budget.

No, but ToS2 was disappointing in that it has terrible multi-player, something which I'm very fond of in the Tales games (especially Symphonia), and it's graphics (see: faces) were terrible. Every character seemed to have this disturbingly flat face with pasted-on eyes looking at you, contradicting their fairly fitting (but rigidly animated) bodies. Oh and my crappy Wii that has been sent in four times but still refuses to play any game for more than an hour before turning off.

I guess Graces has a lot less to be dissapointed about, though (it not being a sequel); not to mention a lot to build apon.

Flynn was a horrible character, and annoying as Hell. Every single place you visit, "Oh my God, Flynn is here already. Surprise."
