It's pretty cool. I've been having fun with it anyway. It's not quite as good as the other Tales games (in my opinion anyway) since they chop up the story for convenient missions chunks, but I like it.

I put enough time in to say I can't really recommend it to anyone unless you're desperate for a different Tales game.

There's something a bit off about the battle system that makes it really annoying to play after something like Tales of the Abyss.

Gameflow is divided into Missions. You have to get a certain amount of Filler Missions done to get your Rep Up, and once you get enough Points you get a Storyline Mission. The Filler Missions are nessary for Gald and XP. Because you get very little gald from enemies.

You get to start as 1 of 4 classes. Swordsman, Fighter, Thief, or Mage (I think those are the ones) later on you can get better classes, each class will only let you use select equipment, the stuff you equip will change your character's appearance on screen. You can preview the look before purchasing.

Dungeons have Harvesting points where you can either look for herbs, or Mine for Ore, both are required for some quests, and you can use raw materials to make other materials over time.

The Main Character never talks, and you can choose wether you play as a male or female and choose some facial features to customize how they look, but there arent a ton of options.

If you dont mind Grinding a lot you should be fine with this game. The Dungeons are like Mazes, so you might need to map them out as you play so you dont get lost, at least after the first town.

After a certain event you can recruit people to join your party per mission, if your Level is too low they usually wont join, it works most times if their level is below yours. To get the Tales Guest Stars to join you gotta earn their respect. And even then they wont always join your team.

If you have any other questions let me know.
