Well, he isn't one of my top comedians, but he is getting nailed so hard in here I figured he could use one ally...I do enjoy Dane Cook. He takes a long time to deliver jokes, and can just go on and on and on, but something about it I really like. It seems natural, the way he tells a story. But that style is also a bad thing, because it makes it very hard for me to re-watch any of his stand-ups without wanting to put a bullet in my head. My favorites I can re-watch day-after-day and still laugh, but Dane Cook I have to give a bit of a breather to. Again, I enjoy him---I don't love him.

Speaking of Carlos: anyone pay attention to all the drama that went on with him and Joe Rogan? Pure comedy gold.

I'll throw in my vote for Dimitri Martin (sp?), as well as my vote for not liking Dane Cook.

To be honest, I like comedy but I rarely like a specific comedian as a whole. I'm not a big fan of Dimitri Martin's actual show, but I do enjoy his specials. I tend to suffer from "don't-give-a-damn-itis" after a while of listening to comedians, as most of them tend to center their jokes around something specific or have to point out their jokes to the audience.

One of the black comedians I was watching ended almost every one of his jokes with "because I'm black", and I'm also sick of comedians like Kevin James whose entire career and comic routines are built entirely upon the fact that he's fat.

Can anyone suggest any decent comedians who don't have a steady theme, such as Mitch Hedberg, other than Mitch Hedberg?
