For all the little things that probably don't deserve their own thread. For now I will just post a link to GAF (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=356122), cuz I'm lazy like dat...

I really hope OnLive fails. All I'm saying.

^It's a neat idea, but I'm personally against it because I like real consoles and I like physical copies of games.

Not only that, the computational power required for this is gonna be insane.

This sums up my stance on this exactly. I don't feel like I actually own anything when it's download only.

A few articles:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/gdc-why-onlive-cant-possibly-work-article

http://gamingfront.net/news/338/playstation-3-being-made-obsolete-by-onlive/

Tried to get some covering the entire spectrum (for, against, neutral). Is "could be revolutionary" revolutionary enough?

Also, Infinium Labs Phantom.

#### OnLive

OnLive will appeal to a lot of people, but I will not support it.

I would only be interested in OnLive if it made available several dozen classic RPGs from defunct consoles. I'm attached to physical copies and memory cards, too. Niche gamers are collectors by nature.

The Hideo Kojima keynote was kinda funny for all the "laugh, damn you!" moments. As a gamer, it was kinda neat, but from a developer perspective, a summary on the history of Metal Gear probably isn't what I'd want to spend two hours on.

Only owning something online seems kind of shakey. And, again, hard to support I think. We all don't have super computers. Still an idea.

OnLive is going to rock! I mean if you have youtube with crap like Miley Cyrus’ video diaries & crap like that occupying half of the world's bandwidth, then I want the other half to be taken by GAMES!!! I’d much rather play games on demand than watch some stupid bastards hit each other’s testes.

99% of the internet is porn. Remember that!

Online games will eventualy be the only means to play games. I'm certain everyone can agree that as stoarge becomes even more affordable and wifi/broadband/cable become more widely available it's only a matter of time untill there's no reason not to. I doubt it'll have any impact on my gaming habbits for a number of years after as I'd be too busy playing catch up on long dead systems. Still, I dont look forward to that day. Call me a child of the 80's when materilism was the in thing but I like owning somthing I can hold in my hands.

Then you probably won't like the rumored change for the next PSP. Supposedly UMD is getting the axe in favor for DLC-type games. Also, consoles are not going away. At the very worst, future Playstation/Xbox/Nintendo gaming systems will end up like how OnLive is.

I'm for OnLive, but at the very least they should give you access to a downloadable copy of said game if you do decide to buy it. As much as I like the concept, I can't say I like the idea of "having" a game that can only be used through this service. There's really a lot of details missing to make a decision on the service though.

^The thing is, at least with XBL/PSN/WiiWare games, you at least have something; I can play Rez HD or whatever without having to be connected to the internet. While I prefer a disc over all, atleast having something DLed on your console is better than nothing.
