suggestions for persona

i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the new persona game (dunno if they are going to be applied but why not share your thoughts)

well i was wondering if the game will have some online-battle features like ya know if you can team up with others on network and play fights of four against four or something like that

what do you think?

Admittedly I dislike the form system (if only because you have to reset it every time you get in a back attack) but the terrible new music is probably going to completely ruin the experience for me. Oh well, time to mess with IRShell so I can play the old Persona music over the new garbage.

Heh, all i can say is, Persona needs to keep its style of gameplay id suggest not to add any complex features (like online??? wtf? how can they even pull it off?!) and keep making them as is. I dunno about you people but ive stated my opinion.

How do you know the "new" music is gonna be trash? It's not even released in Japan yet, or are you just basing it on the past two persona titles?

EDIT: Hmm...I watched the trailer for Persona, and while I haven't played the original I guess I can understand what you're saying now. It's a little too....much pop for my taste..

I highly doubt that rumor will be true. Backwards compatibility is a HUGE issue for a lot of gamers. Plus, I'd never buy it on PSN. I rather have a hard copy for collection reasons, especially on a game that's almost for sure going to hold a value.

I was thinking of online as well, maybe player vs player and customization for online players so everyone would not look the same. Also i was thinking of co-op mode when a player online can play with you at a part that your both stuck at and each player can help each other by being in the same party. Fusing persona's with different abilities and trading them for others online.

My only suggestion is to put the old music in but keep the new ones in it and randomize them.

As in you go to an area and it plays "new song one". Then you leave and come back, it plays "old song one".

Not sure if there would be space left on the disc, but considering that seems to be the only problem people hae with game you might as well.

No suggestions personally, but I suppose I'd only want a solid release date. :P But that'll have to wait anyway, I don't want a pre-emptive date announced that gets changed. ^^;

Having never played the original sort of makes this a nice new experience for me on all levels. I never saw the Japanese version as it was, nor the American version. I've heard the music from the original, which I like, but, I don't really think I'd mind the changes so long as "Poem of Everyone's Souls" Is left alone. I really like that song as it was in Persona 1. (To point out a pattern, I also liked the various versions of the same song in other games... like "Electronica in Velvet Room" and "Blues in Velvet Room". These could be argued to be entirely different songs, but... they're similar. :3)

Why would you want that?
Revelations Persona's character portraits didnt have very good quality to them

It's not so much the quality the person cares about; it's about memory lane. Hey, I know it totally sucks when things are change so drastically, but for those of us who played the original...it means something.

Take Voltron for example. GoLion is the freakin' awesome original (with all the blood and original story), but most Americans only know about the heavily altered Voltron where there memories of growing up are with it. That's just life.

*Ahem* Anyway...

Honestly, besides having it remain pure to the original with a better translation, I'm a happy camper. Having original and new mixes sounds like a nice addition. Though I know good voice acting from bad (Chaos Wars...*shutter*...*shutter*...), the original voice actors weren't that bad really; however, I'm not saying I wouldn't enjoy a new cast. That would be a nice bonus.

I played the English Original too, i own Revelations Persona, P2 EP, 3, 3FES and 4
The most important parts of the story were left in the game but the translation wasnt very good, i can understand where you are coming from by wanting that option, but for me, i would want it as close to the original japanese version as possible
one of the changes i thought was good was the new world map
It was a pain working your way across the town dealing with random battles only to find out you went to the wrong part of the town
