OK, I want to like this game, pre-ordered it when it was announced, liked Riviera and Yggdra Union, etc. But all I got out of that video was a 5:09-long wondering frown.
Probably it's not as bad as it seems. If I had seen a video of TWEWY before playing it I'd probably have felt the same way.
Anyway, bring it, uh, on!

It looks like fun. I was gonna hold out on seeing any information until the game came out so I would figure everything out on my own.

Now I'm even more confused:confused:

lol. For those of you who were confused by the IGN video, fear not. I know he covered a lot of information really, really quickly. I don't have an exact date for you, but the "How to Play" section of the US website will be going live soon, and the game itself has a massive, interactive (optional) tutorial.

I want this game even more now. I wouldn't say I am too confused, but I am definitely looking forward to learning how to play.

The video and article were fantastic. I'm not going to spoil myself on this any further, but this game looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait until it's released.
Everybody who hasn't pre-ordered this yet: you're making a mistake.

Maybe understanding the video rides on if you've played YU and Riviera. Because I think I have a pretty solid grasp on the gameplay from seeing the guy play.
CAN'T WAIT.

I really don't think that's the case, since the gameplay of Knights isn't anything like the others, except perhaps for item usage.

No need to worry, even in Japanese the Tutorial and "First Step" sections were very helpful. They'll have you up and running in no time! ;)

This video helped me to understand the combat more. Here's my paraphrase of the basics. You have your dude, and you can select him to do attacks against enemies who are patrolling around. You only have a certain amount of time to do as many attacks as you can. However, if you get hit by the bullets sent out by the enemies you lose time. If you run out of time you can start again, with the enemies at the health you left them at. But you only get so many rounds to complete the battle.

I was looking at their other video that just has the Chapter 3 intro and was wondering if it was too late to fix this typo.

Well, I mean in that people who have played Riviera and YU are used to the cluttered screens that accompany Sting's games. I was able to instantly recognize several of the icons from the other games, and was able to quickly sort through most of the menus since they seem to be set up in a similar fashion. Somebody who hasn't had any experience with those games likely just sees a big, jumbled, intimidating mess of text and icons.

I'm really starting to like this game more and more, I need to get some money to pre-order this. I think the article explained things pretty well, can't wait to play it.
