View Full Version : What should I buy first? o3o
Well, I'm gonna be going to a Best Buy soon to browse for PCs, since I'm getting a new one soon, if I don't get a new one right then and there, I thought I might purchase something to pass the time!
Either Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War Platinum Edition (comes with both expansion packs sans Soulstorm), or, Alien Quadrilogy (All the Alien Movies in one sleek box set with lots of extras), the thing is, the Best Buy near here doesn't have the Quadrilogy, but the one farther away has the Quadrilogy, but no Warhammer! So, I gotta pick ahead of time!
I probably WILL end up getting both at one point or another, but which should I get first?
What do you think, fellow Atlus Faithful?

I would go with Aliens and see if that Best Buy has Dawn of War II, since you can play that to pass the time, and get the expansions as they come out... or was Dawn of War II disappointing to you, and therefore, you prefer the 1st one?
(I was going to pick up Dawn of War II, but I am waiting for someone I know to pick it up so I can borrow it... I know, I am cheap.)

I actually want to get Dawn of War I, first.
Then, after upgrading my new computer when I get it, Dawn of War II.
Oh, and hate to double post, but one more thing.
I don't want to stress this computer, it's on it's last legs, so I probably wouldn't play Dawn of War 1 until I get my new computer, so, keep that in mind!

So why are you asking? Its pretty obvious that you should get the Quadrilogy instead...

*shrug* I don't know, I might try to see if this computer could at least run it.
And as far as I know, I might my new computer in a few days.

If you want all the Alien movies then you're better off buying this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DDBD54?ie=UTF8&tag=1upcom0f-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001DDBD54). But if for some reason you didn't liek either of the AVP movies, then buy my Alien Quadrilogy. I ####ing hate the last 2 Alien movies.

My brother owns Predator 1 and 2.
So, I'd be better off getting the quadrology.
Plus, I'd rather not purchase AVP 1 and 2.
I loved the games though

Well if you like paying more for less...
Well if you like paying more for less...
Aliens Quadrilogy would only cost about 5 dollars more, and has a lot of making of stuff.
Which I, more or less, would like to see.
Plus theres a lot of cut stuff I'd love to see.

Well if you like paying more for less...
Except that isn't the case. Alien Quadrilogy had four movies on nine discs, the thing you posted has eight movies on eight discs. I'd rather buy the Quadrilogy and get all the sweet supplemental stuff and just buy the Predator movies separately (and skip the AvP movies).
Of course, not everyone likes sweet supplemental stuff, so YMMV I guess.

Yeah, basically.
And I've never seen any of the Alien movies, so I'd like to get the complete experience
I'm getting my new computer today, I hope, and since Warhammer is only $30, while Quadrilogy is $50, I'm gonna try to get Warhammer with my new computer today.
Thank you all for pitching in.
