This has been up for a while, but since no one else posted it, I thought I'd at least share it with you all.

I check RPGamer rather often, but for some reason I missed this. Thanks.

THUNDERBOLT games eh? What a brave and daring name for a website.

The more I read about it, the more I will day one CoH.

Good thing I got a PSP grip not too long ago. Sounds like I could get a ton of mileage outta this one.

Oy, they also have a Hammerin' Hero preview (http://www.thunderboltgames.com/previews/article/hammerin-hero-preview.html).

You can MORE or LESS day one something!?!?!? :surprise:

Ahh, just foolin'. There is definitely some great value to get outta your PSP, you just may wanna get a backup/higher capacity battery pack for TRUE mobility. I believe Sony discontinued their official extended battery pack, but look for a legit stamina pack.

I can't wait for this. Everything I read about the game makes me want it more. Glad I pre-ordered it.

I just hope the game is more like EO where the battle moves quickly and gets to the point. While I realise this won't beat EO in terms of battle gameplay (dunno about customisation yet tho), in the least, it could be a decent distraction until 7th Dragon (which I'm dropping everything like unwanted stones for).

:seesaw:

It does do a fair bit to relieve my concerns.

(Though either way, I need -something- good for my PSP... BoF3's only gonna last so long...)

Siliconera has posted their impressions. Even the previewer admits, she needs to go back to Dungeon Crawling 101. Oooh, the school puns are loose.

Also, she isn't quite right on the affinity of Drakes. They tend NOT to get along well with others.

Pretty vague preview, I assume this is just a first installment though. It's funny the way almost every previewer I've found has created a Drake main, then built around him/her. I would love to see a screenshot that displays some type of affinity chart. I wonder how the previewer got confused about that? The only reason I can think of is the Drake's must not have any direct hated affinity, and are probably mostly neutral, but thats just speculation on my part.

You have to look at things from both sides when it comes to affinity in this game. The Drakes don't get along with very many other races, but most of the other races don't mind them.

There will be an affinity chart included in the manual.

No one reads the manual.

Manuals never go into enough detail about things like species to species relationships and how it effects skills, stats and whatnot.

Hey, I wrote that! Yeah, I just realized my mistake with the Drakes comment. I knew that Diablos don't get along with everyone, but I must have overlooked the info for Drakes. When I wrote that, I was only a few hours into it.

Even now, I'm not sure what role affinity plays in my party.

I'm not usually one to read manuals, but this is one time I wish I had a manual when I started the game heh. Class of Heroes seems to have a steep initial learning curve, but it definitely gets easier. I hope the beginning doesn't scare players away though!

Thanks that such a great link and the preview is also great and the class options are interesting and varied, and the dungeons are what you would expect with a couple concessions made to keep the exploration from getting repetitive. and after resding all this I have already placed an order for this game. Thanks for this review.
