I'm at the final final dungeon (true ending) and I'm only level 82. I want to fuse all the persona's I can but I also don't want to spend hours leveling. What's the best strategy/place to power level at the end of the game? I'm on floor 8 of the last dungeon and I'm getting like 1000 exp per battle. All of my persona need like 50,000 exp before they even think about leveling up one level. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm sorry to say this, but, as far as I know, there's no better place than Yomotsu Hirasaka, abd if you're in your first playthrough, you can't encounter Death yet, so...

Well, I finished my first playthrough with lv.88... Just enough to fuse Helel...

wow, you managed to level up to 88 :o:o:o

i just can't stand levelling too long so i just levelled to 73 at the first playthrough and 80 in my second, i'm currently playing my third playthrough and i'm planning to get my mc lv 99...

back to the topic, i thought it's easier to lv up in magatsu inaba rather than in yomotsu hirasaka......

Really? But now, I remember one more of Leveling-up... But it's just for your MC... You needed Musashi Shinai (weapon) and a kind of armor (I didn't have it, so I don't know the name). Both can boost the experience you got after battle by 50%, so, if you equipped both of it, your exp will be doubled!

You can get Musashi Shinai by trading 2 Guardians to the Old Fisherman by the bank, and for the armor, you can obtained it from Death... That's why I haven't got the item... I'm on my second playthrough and my holiday's over... I wonder how long this will take...

No one's mentioned the "King trick"? Potentially infinite exp and infinite money and you don't even need to be playing the game to do it.

Follow this video to find where he is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6u3QWtxbMA

There is a battle against 2 Great Kings (aka Pringles). Bring a Persona that nulls/repels/absorbs Physical and just Rush. Make sure to equip an item that prevents Rage. And it's MUCH easier to solo it with MC. The other characters like to get in the way. It's not that hard to do it with your allies. Give them your weakest armor. Have them either use up any single target physical moves on the summoned enemies to use up their HP, or just have them guard/attack the summoned enemies. It may take a while, but once they're all down, then you can press Rush and leave it on for a while. Keep in mind that an hour will give you about 200,000 yen. Once you've acquired the money you want, revive your allies and finish the battle so that everyone gets experience.

Also, I recommend you equip a weak Repel Phys persona (Rangda is fine) and a weak weapon. Repel makes things go a lot faster than Null/Absorb, and using a weak persona means you don't have to worry about killing off your enemies prematurely.

To see it in action (MC only, but you can just use the advice in the last quote to do it with all your party) see this video:

^ Hey there. First thing you must do is you have to level your hermit S. Link to 10 because the old man by the river bank will give you a new and special type of fishing rod needed to catch the guardian.

Now, assuming you already have that special rod. When you start to fish, feel the vibration in your controller. If it's vibration is weak, then reel it. In that way you'll save a bait. Cast your fishing rod again and wait for A BIG VIBRATION in your controller, then press o. ^^

Okay, Enzo has given you the explanation...

Wow, I wonder about that Kings...? I didn't even know that trick...

^ Rin, you should try auto-leveling using the king trick. ^^

and to shinickikudo: One more thing, its best if you fish during rainy days because guardians only appear on rainy days. ^^

Okay, but one more thing Shinichi, when you're already in late November or December when there's no rainy days anymore, you can still catch the Guardian...

And regarding the King's Trick, does any Kings will work?? where's these Kings we're talking about??

Highlight to see...
Ok, I assume you already beat the game. In Magatsu Inaba, there are these rare kings that are strong to physical. All you have to do is to equip yourself with a musashi shinai, anti-rage item and a persona which is null physical (e.g. Yosh*tsune could do the trick). Then after it, find the king.

Just do the rush button and there you go. Auto leveling is starting...
it only works if you go alone.

Hope I helped. ^^

Oh, ok, now I'm in my second playthrough and have just cleared Yukiko's castle... So... still have a long way to go...
Regarding the King, it's in Magatsu Inaba or the Magatsu Mandala??
Sorry for asking too much, because leveling up manually is really a pain in the heart...

I think they're usually in World 1, Magatsu Mandala.

Level 80+ is pretty good for the final final boss. I went in and beat it at 75-76, though there were many...MANY close calls.

same for me...It was always "hit once, below 50% health, miss" or "miss, hit below 50% health"

not that I'm complaining

I'm at the final final dungeon (true ending) and I'm only level 82. I want to fuse all the persona's I can but I also don't want to spend hours leveling. What's the best strategy/place to power level at the end of the game? I'm on floor 8 of the last dungeon and I'm getting like 1000 exp per battle. All of my persona need like 50,000 exp before they even think about leveling up one level. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks!

ummm fuse a persona with nullification to physical and enter the dungeon by yourself........most of the time i just push the auto button since at the top of the dungeon there're are only strong physical attack-type monsters.....

Well, yeah... too bad there's no such place like Monad Depths in P4... Monad is such a lifesaver for exp needs...
