I got an email from amazon saying that the games release date has changed. Did it get pushed back?

Doesn't look like anything changed to me. Release date's still the same as before.

Maybe the late arrival date is because you chose the cheap-but-super slow shipping?

No the release date didn't change, it's just that Amazon had the wrong date initially. Atlus' original announcement even said April 28th, but Amazon had April 21st by mistake until just the other day. They sent out that e-mail when they fixed it (I got one too.)
