View Full Version : Out of Print Already?

Is this game already out of print? It's been sold out at Amazon for about a week, and I keep wondering if it's going to come back in stock, but it hasn't. Today I noticed at the bottom of the product description it says:
"Discontinued by manufacturer: Yes"

It just seems odd as Atlus has been doing a much better job about keeping their games in stock recently, even reprinting some, to have a new one go OOP in three weeks. (Closer to two actually, as it's been out of stock at Amazon for several days.)

Umm... I think Amazon.com's references are a bit screwy on that one. I think they may have crossed this DS game with a hardcover of the same name....

Might be. I was worried about this, so I went to the local GameStop and picked the game up right away.

good thing i ordered mine from Amazon a few weeks ago, somehow i knew this one might go fast...

hmmm... looking at Amazon right now and see they still have 3 new coppies in stock sold through J&R... but it does in fact say "discontinued by manufacturer: yes"...

I wouldn't trust Amazon, they said Final Fantasy X was discontinued about a week ago, and yet a few days later they were selling copies for $11. *shrug*

It depends on a store-by-store basis.

Heck, the Gamestop store I'm a regular at just drop it to $20.

I think I bought the only copy the nearby Gamestop ever got at launch. I haven't seen it there since then.

Amazon.ca has it as In Stock.
Once I have more money, I should get it.

God I hate Atlus. I buy a game from them on release day and it drops to half price within a couple months. I decide to wait on buying a game from them and it gets discontinued almost immediately. So I spend some extra cash on getting the latter only to hear they've issued a reprint just a little while later. This has happened several times and I'll be damned if it happens again. I wish they'd let us know if we're getting a reprint or the PSP version cause I'm not spending $40 on this one
