I believe CeruleanDraco may have a play by play, and I'm sure he has a good summary and a bunch of comments to share with everyone. Please wait for him to post before beginning to post or you can just ruin it for everyone. Much thanks and appreciation.
Sit down my children, and I shall tell you a tale,
Of yours truly, Mute, finding CeruleanDraco with no fail.
It was a hard, treacherous, and way long trip
In the end, only one, came out with a flip.
The defeated, always did, try his best,
But your victor here, never fails his tests.
Scouring the Coliseums to and fro, to no avail, was he found. Finally, taking the airship of Euler into the land of the sky demons, was the target finally acquired. And both sides prepared their mates, and brought their arms at hand in the Coliseum of Power.
With equal teams, with 2 differentiating lapis, Fatima, Karen, and Althea took to the north and charged right through, but althea and karen cunningly locked the pass up, minimizing damage dealt. In the southern pass, Roland and Ayano attempt to barge through like the north, but roland and fatima camp, waiting for first strike. Fatima dies and dies, only to boost althea and karen’s morale, and revived Ayano mistakenly travels to no cover, only to be sniped by fatima. All was lost when Roland is sent to Northaeron, and roland burns Pip, who revives Karen in sight of karen. The victor was clear when ayano’s morale overcame Althea, with roland, never dying, finishing her. With the everyone surrounding Roland, pip comes to the front lines, pimp slapping Roland, ending the long awaited matchup.
Slaying thy dragon, was no easy task,
But now there is only glory, in which we can bask.
The opponent seemed not to care, with blood shot eyes,
However I can never believe, such white lies.
Breezing by each challenge, gaining knowledge as loot,
Your new LA2 Champion is, yours truly, TheMute!
Our first match was one and a half hours long, but the connection dropped. I have pic/video proof. Our second match was one hour and fifteen minutes long, with me coming out on top. Both times were on Coliseum of Power, the sky map with a hole in the middle, and it’s questionable Doc was winning, but we can both easily argue both sides to an eternity. I made many many mistakes in our first match, and I simply, and easily, minimized them the second time around.
As for key move/errors and turning points, Doc kept suiciding Fatima in the chokey north, only to boost my Karen/Althea’s FD bar. His Roland broke my front lines, but I killed him instantly, and another error was sending revived Roland to the North, where, from there, I kept moving south to avoid him. In my perspective, I thought Doc kept kamkaze’ing his troops, but behind the scenes, I think he just didn’t count every square as I did. With my Roland killing Pip, Ayano FD’ing Althea, and finally Roland finishing Althea off (with his Fatima and Roland still alive) it was game. In the whole match my Fatima and Ayano each died once.
As for my side, I just counted every single tile and constantly pressed R and L and checked the AO order list, using every single of the 90 seconds I had. I felt FD truly helped a lot, which helped my Roland kill a weakened Pip with Ignis and helped my Althea kill a weakened Fatima with Ignis Blaze. I was nervous at first, with my right left constantly shivering, but one simply must calm down, take your time, and count all those squares!
