Surprisingly there is no official thread for this game even though it's announced on the main page and is up for preorder at both amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/101-1-Explosive-Megamix-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001REMNT4/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1234481607&sr=8-1) and amazon.ca (http://www.amazon.ca/Atlus-EM-40030-0-101-in-1-Explosive-Megamix/dp/B001REMNT4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1235052448&sr=8-1) for a measly 19.99$!

101 GAMES ON ONE CART... THAT'S LESS THAN 20 CENTS EACH! 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix is the perfect game to take on the road because players can play a game whenever they have a spare moment. In addition, 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix takes full advantage of the unique capabilities of Nintendo DS, meaning you can easily manage the dual-screen fun using the intuitive touch controls. On top of all this, players can challenge a friend to multiplayer competition through multi-card local wireless play, making 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix for Nintendo DS a never-ending supply of fun and excitement!

One hundred and one games on a single cartridge
Collect gold coins by setting high scores and then spend them to unlock dozens upon dozens of exciting new games
Challenge friends to head-to-head action through multi-card local wireless play
The more you play, the more gaming enjoyment you'll uncover

As I said in another thread, I'm all for this, especially if like TrackMania, this is a cash grab that translates into games like BRANDISH PSP coming out here. Furthermore I'm convinced that Atlus USA wouldn't just be releasing shovelware for the sake of a moneybag or two, there's no way they'd sully their name like that, is there? They pleasantly surprised me with My World, My Way (pretty damn hardcore all things considered) so here's hoping this is in line.

If anything I'm pretty excited at the multiplayer aspect. Hell there are (at least) two SHMUPS in there! Some of the games look pretty braindead to play, but hopefully there's a feature that allows you to quickly shuffle through all of them (Atlus answer me!). If so... I think my girlfriend and I are done playing Aksys' Super Dodgeball Brawlers and this will be our next big DS game.

If it's anything like Retro Game Challenge, then I'm up for it:)

If there were a good puzzle game included in there along with maybe some action games and multiplayer I'd definitely pick it up.

Is there a list of all the games that are in this somewhere?

It's not.

The make or break deal here for me is single card multi-play. If this does not have it then no go.
I love Clubhouse Games for that very reason.

I hate to be that guy, but learn2read please. It's right there in my original post.

Sounds boring. I'm not particularly fond of mini-game games.

EDIT: Also, I feel like I've posted here before (before this post, I mean) (excluding shameless BRANDISH PSP plug, of course) (this is starting to look like commercial copyrights...)

I read it, and I'm just hoping they are willing to change it ^^;
That aside, I never learned to read as a child and to this date struggle with it. You should be a little more sensitive about the comments you make.

^In Jeff's defense, there are an awful lot of people here that don't always comprehend things too well, and I doubt all of them have learning disabilities. In that respect, in can get pretty damn annoying.

You shouldn't get annoyed. As a mod you just need to take the time to explain stuff to people. It's part of the job:)

Anyway... I think that this looks sort of interesting. I would like to know more about the games that are included though. ;)

If people choose to ignore or fail to find easily noticeable info, it is out of my hands. I don't have an obligation to repeat what I have said a dozen (I am being modest here when it comes to certain topics) times over.

On that note, I'm not even sure why you directed your comment towards me as I was referring to someone besides myself in this case. Kind of ironic...

Anyone know if Gamestop/EB will be carrying this game? A search at their website turns up nothing, but a google search reveals a listing that leads to a "Page not found" error. Also, Best Buy has a listing for it, but with a 4/28 release date.

There's a cool spotlight video of 101-in-1 with Aram and the full trailer here. I was able to check out an advance copy of the game and there are some fun games on this cart, although I don't believe it is single-cart DL play. Will check again.

Is this really all that promising? It sounds like it's just another Wario Ware clone.

Well I recieved the game on tuesday from Amazon.ca and while it's not something you'll get into like The Dark Spire it's pretty fun. You start with a couple of games and you win gold coins by playing them, win or lose. Once you have enough gold coins you can buy other games. Complete the games and you get bonus money which means you can unlock more games or an expensive one.

The only negative points I have so far is the music get's repetitive fast and that the touch mechanics for some games aren't that great. Then again maybe I'm just not that good.

All in all, this title is perfect for people on the go who play in the subway, bus or whatever. If you like mini-games then get it.

Edit : Oh and I do wish they bring Brandish over here cause the game looks awesome and any game that will get me to dust off my PSP is welcome.

Man, I'm sorry, but I gotta say I was a bit disappointed with this one. I'm not going to write a big dissertation about it or anything. Some of the games were fun, but I guess the fault was mine in that I didn't realize when they said mini-games they meant MINI-games.

By the way, I beat the whole thing in a matter of maybe an hour and a half, two hours, so I didn't just play two or three and give up on it.

I want to end on a positive note, though: I traded it in on The Dark Spire, and I'm digging it, baby! Ah, good, old harder-than-aich-ee-double-hockysticks games! I've got the soundtrack in my car, and I'm going to crank it up at work so my co-workers give me a nice set of "WTF?" looks! :D

Oh, by the way, H-E-B, which is a really good grocery store down here in Texas, is carrying the Atlus games! A GROCERY STORE, not Wal-Mart!
