Hi all!

Names Shawn. I've been gaming since I was tiny, earliest I remember is the NES and Atari. But I didn't get my own system till SNES. I play just about anything and will generally try anything once, at least. My first Atlus game was SMT: Nocture, hated it at first and left it on the shelf, then replayed it and found it to be much more enjoyable. I like most RPGs that aren't strategy based. My favorite video game series period is Resident Evil, love zombies.

That aside, hello board. :D

Welcome! I'm new myself.

You must be pretty stoked for March if Resident Evil is your favorite series (assuming you know that RE5 is coming in March).

Totally stoked as a matter of fact. Already got my reserve paid off and already scheduled a vacation day so I can play through it that day LOL.

So what do you think about RE5?
Did you enjoy the series for the horror/stratagy of it, or do you just want mass zombie murder? (Though, i'm not sure RE5's enemys are very zombiesh)

Oh, and Welcome =3

I think RE 5 is going to rock hard, well hope. I played the demo back when it came out on the Japanese marketplace and was pretty wowed visually by it and the gameplay felt just like RE 4 with a different controller. The story is mostly what I want it for though. I want to see how Jill ties into this and if Sherry is the girl in the tube in the trailers.

As much as I love the series though, I'm hoping that this one wraps up the story and the franchise can rest. Capcom does the games right, but the story is just getting out of control. Too many viruses, I was good with T and G from the older games.

I liked the horror atmosphere of the first RE. After that I just kept replaying it to see if I could get through it faster. Then after RE 2 I was pretty much hooked for the story factor too. It took me a while to realize that the game had strategy other than shooting zombies, getting killed numerous times with Chris in RE 1 taught me that, so frustrating. So the atmosphere got me, then RE 2 hooked me with the story progression and the rest is history for me.
