So, I just tried to preorder, and it looks like Amazon isn't taking preorders anymore. All it says is 'Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available.' Will they be taking preorders again, or should I just go to Gamestop?

Ok, time to put down bets on how many out there purchased these games only to sell them later at a higher price.

I'm willing to bet 30% of pre-orders on amazon were purchased with the intent to sell at a later date, for a higher price. I pre-ordered mine first day.

I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon doesn't open up for pre-orders anymore, since Atlus said it was getting a very limited run anyways. If there is one thing I learned about Japanese companies (in the case of Atlus USA, their parent company is Japanese), when they say limited...THEY MEAN LIMITED. PERIOD.

Here in the US, when they say limited....well there's always a 50/50 chance of it popping up again, since nothing here is truly limited in that sense.

If you're pre-ordering from a website, you never need to have money when you place the order. You just need to have it when release date is near. No reason why you shouldn't be able to do a pre-order right away.

The issue is that the website I use to buy my games from, they charge you first even if it's a pre-order. The website has the same platform as Amazon, so if the pre-order is over at Amazon is over at that website.

Yeah I believe that each copy should be packaged with the game. Though I am starting to feel a bit confused about it, since multiple sites are listing the Raiho plush as a pre-order bonus.

Well, they're still listing the soundtracks as pre-order bonuses for Ys and The Dark Spire as well even though both games have been upgraded to boxed versions.

Believe you me, I avoid Gamestop like the plague when it comes to pre-order bonuses especially for limited releases such as this. At least, in my experience, they have done nothing but give them away to random people who come to purchase a game or even just show up in the store at all. Nine times out of ten, I find out they either give my bonus away or they lie about not getting any in and keeping the bonuses for themselves. Hence why it's best to order from the website instead.

Um... let's not go giving Atlus any ideas here. I refuse to pay 120+ dollars for something like that. I have other obligations that come first. Personally I don't see Devil Summoner 2 getting the same draw as the other games, it's popularity level isn't like SMT or Persona.

If you go to a GameStop/EB now, you should see some promotional DS2 boxes on one of the endcaps; stores have apparently been instructed to use these as the shelf display once it's out rather than gut a retail copy. I can't guarantee every store will follow those instructions (you know how it is) but that's supposed to be the plan.

Amazon doesn't plan on shipping mine out until the 18th for some reason. ...though, they pretty much always do this with my Atlus preorders. I called about it once and they said it was because I got Super Saver shipping, I guess this is their way of punishing me for costing them money :p

Just got mine earlier to find that my disc was also broken :very_sad: The inner ring was completely busted out and since no remains were in the case it must have happened during packaging.

Already sent for a replacement from amazon, just hope I receive another pre-order package instead of the stand alone game since that is what I have...
