I think its, 25 or 24 days remaining for the second (or third if you count the time when you got Orpheus)...As in, 25-24 days remaining after the boss fight at the station..... :S...

25 days? Focus on Social Links and try to enter Tarturus on only 2-5 days a month. Social Links make up the bulk of this game.

Im not asking what to do XD...I already know what to do...It just bores me oh so much having to wait a month each time for an actual storyline development, the characters dont do much, and Tartarus is too repetetive >.<....The only actual thing that might get me going is to know about Aigis and her character development.... :S

Try to enjoy the Social Links! Partly the reason why I love P3 is the Social Links.

I understand that tartarus is getting kinda boring for you. I can't blame you though because you played Persona 4 first. When I played P3 last year, I also complained about the repetitive dungeon again and again but I've come to realize that the whole dungeon part is just half the fun in Persona 3. What really steals the show is the social links. So if you ever get tired of waiting a month for any character development, why not spend it on improving your stats and social links?

I found Tartarus rather boring, too. I mean, it wasn't so bad I didn't want to do it, since MegaTen dungeon crawling's always compelling somehow, but most of the time I just wanted to get the climbing over with so I could spend more time with my friends.

To me, P3 felt like a life sim with a dungeon attached to it as incentive for your hard work. I think if you look at it that way, you might enjoy yourself more, since your emphasis will be on daytime rather than nighttime. Beyond that, well, up until the love hotel, I was fairly bored with the grind, too (I actually took a break for awhile, dunno what I played, though). However, after that, it picked up the pace and I hadn't put it down since.

Hopefully, it'll be the same for you.

well, for me both P3 and P4 had this "thing" about them... there's just SO much to do u can;t put the games down!

since we're talking P3 here... well i kinda miss tartarus, that horrible [in the best of ways ;)] feeling of climbing climbing and never seeing the top... until your analyzer says "i feel the strong presence up ahead" and having no remaining SP and a tired party... i dunno but it was kinda like a real life marathon XD

i loved P3, and i loved P4. though they share a lot of similarities, both are unique and must-plays ^_^

I felt it drag more in the middle...honestly, being the first console RPG that totally enamoured me after countless attempts to jump on the bandwagon (FFVII, Paper Mario, Tales, etc.), to finally be hooked felt good.

It does have its flaws. No party control (although, IMO the original P3 had more intelligent AI than FES), monotonous dungeon design, combat that, once you knew the weaknesses, was just going through the motions...but it also does alot right. A fun combat system, brilliant story, gorgeous visuals, S-Links, engaging characters and more. From what I've seen of P4 (my brother is playing it), it does look much better than P3, but such is the price of progress.

You should keep playing, the P3 MC is a lot more involved with the plot and the NPC S. Links are much better then the P4 NPC S. Links.

Also epic final boss theme is ####ing epic, just make sure you aren't too overleveled when you fight him, otherwise it kind of kills it.

Yeaaaaah... that happened to me.

I had so much fun playing survival in Monad (which later became a quest to reach the bottom despite no incentive aside from my own ego... and now I'm fighting Satan in DDS2, I think you can trace a pattern) that I leveled up to 99 and wiped the floor with the final boss.

I also ended up doing the same in the Answer, since I wanted to fuse Messiah for sentimental reasons.

Also epic final boss theme is ####ing epic, just make sure you aren't too overleveled when you fight him, otherwise it kind of kills it.A final boss theme as epic as "The Battle for Everyone's Souls" makes getting to the end of the game well worth it.

Yeah, I agree, P3 is great too, but well, personally, I liked Souji better than Minato though, he's more "expressive".

At least P3's music is great (personally for the music, I think P3 is better than P4), the Burn My Dread and Kimi no Kioku... Even though the story is much more serious... But, try to enjoy P3, just think that you're playing P3 for a historical lesson for P4! You'll find many things about those two games which are connected! I've done that in my Suikoden series too, I played Suikoden 2 first, the played the Suikoden 1 for the historical lesson!:-)

I think that both are pretty good but i agree that P3 is a depressing history lesson for P4. Both are have a wonderful story line and music though. I would say that this would be a tough decision for me too.

Personally I disliked most of the music of P3 & P4, having just gotten into these games after finished Nocturne/Lucifers Call in Aust., which has by far the best SMT soundtrack to date. Some of the tunes are really good like further boss battles and the thematic buildup of the Tartarus theme...very reminiscent of Nocturne's dungeon style. Also the music/story in the 2nd half of Persona 3 is AWESOME...you should persevere for that alone.

You might be able to still find FES in stores. If not, then online. Amazon.com still has the FES bundle I think.

Huh? You don't have FES? For me, it's lucky that I played FES directly, I think that's because around the time P3 is released, I'm still playing another game, so when I finished, FES was already been released...
It's great isn't it? Both is good, just they have their own weaknesses and strengths about the aspect of the game...

Agreed but for me I felt the cliche plot devices hurt the game more than the party AI.

Actually i found persona 3 by chance cause when i was stolling in the mall i suddenly thought about how boring my games are so i decided to buy a new game. When i got to the store i just blndly picked one game and it just so happens it was Persona 3. Persona 3? what the heck was that?? then i said bahala na kung maganda e di maganda. then i played and that marked the beggining of the emergence of my true self. got hooked for a long time. then the game broke down and couldnt find a replacement. was sad the first three weeks. but eventually gotten over it. after a short while i heard about persona 4. well long story short i played P3 then P4 then P3 fes. i kinda got hold of FES i little late cause it was quite rare. but I love it
