This is another promising game from LEVEL 5, working with Studio Ghibli (yeah! who wont love Ghibli?)
It's for the DS. I dont have information except for these links.

I don't know who will publish this game in Japanese.
At least please let Atlus publish it for the US.

If you were to ask me, I don't think Atlus will be publishing this one here. The game is going to be absolutely huge in Japan, since it's a game being made by an RPG dev that's been gaining quite a name for itself these days, and probably THE best animation studio in Japan. Far as I know, its either Level 5 or Nintendo publishing it.

Although I have my doubts that Atlus will get this one, that should they be able too. I fully support it.

If we have to count on Nintendo publishing it, we will never see it.

Level 5 publishes all of their own non-Sony console games; Layton was their first.

And it could go either way, but considering there's a market for things related to Ghibli in english territories, I wouldn't be surprised to see anyone bringing this over. These times they are different from when the Jade Cocoon games were released.

Wait, didn't Nintendo publish the NA release of Professor Layton? I could've sworn they did but maybe I was mistaken. Regardless, I think because it was localized period there is hope for this game. Level 5 and Studio Ghibli are respectably known names here as well.

The idea of the feeling of an interactive Studio Ghibli production along with that spell book = likely my next import game.

Oh, yes I should have specifically stated 'in Japan', so localisation is up for grabs to anyone interested (I would imagine).

You're still stuck with Level 5 gameplay and design, and that's as hit or miss as you can get. I'm not too big of a fan unfortunately. :|

Personally...I hate their action rpgs, I haven't had one of theirs that I liked. however I prefer they stick with turn-based. Jeanne d'Arc on PSP is just friggin AWESOME as hell. God I love that game.

This magic book premise is awesome. I would love to see this hit the states no matter who brings it over.

Even if it were Disney?

I just hope whoever brings it over to the States has the intelligence and decency to bring it with that nice book.

I'll be pissed if they drop that and just throw the runes and stuff into the manual.

I'd be more than willing to pay $50 for the whole package.

...Yes?

Though, of course, I'd prefer that if Atlus has the opportunity to pick this up and bring it here that they take it. The game surely deserves the kind of top-notch localization Atlus can provide.

I want this game in English. So bad.
