They are usually on the first page and their jumping up when required brings attention to them. I have never liked it when there are too many pinned threads, it makes it harder to know what threads have new stuff by position and makes me scroll the screen more which makes me sad :(

Plus if this was to be pinned, shouldn't the movies, anime, and maybe some other threads (like random image, picture, etc) which are no less tradition be pinned too?

I think it would get a bit cluttery.

I agree with Sei - there would be an awful lot of pinned threads then. I mean, the "What are you currently playing?" thread is also rather traditional.
