I think he might actually have been drawing power from Ameno-Sagiri, and Ameno-Sagiri just appeared as a distorted form of Izanagi.

That's probably it. It would've been nice to see Namatame's Persona (Izanagi?) though. Maybe it had "Love & Peace" on it. xD Aww man. I wanna see some Namatame Persona fan art now. xD

Din't Izanami said that she gave power to all 3 if them(MC,Adachi,Namatame)powers the same way?All 3 of them went to the gas station when they arrived at Inaba and shoke hands with Izanami.As for Namatame's persona,it'd be real cool to see that fan art.Also for the differents between MC's Izanagi and Adachi's Izanagi,can it be because they have different personalities?Adachi is pretty wicked and that caused a different Izanagi?Thats what i think because Persona mean your other self and reflects your personality

Exactly. Remember that the protagonist also acquired the persona without facing his shadow.

Yeah but the MC was the only one she shook hands with. Because she wanted to give him an extra push. Izanami doesnt have to shake hands with a person to give them the persona ability. But i wonder why adachi had a shadow and a persona at the same time.

I think you've got a bit mixed up with the "extra push" thing there. She didn't say she specifically gave him a handshake to give him something extra over the other two, but rather that he was already very close to realising his own Persona anyway and all she did was give him an extra push. It's classic bad guy stuff - they try to make out like what happened was going to happen anyway but they just sped it up a little; gave a little encouragement to proceedings. Think of the Joker in The Dark Knight, if you've seen it. He doesn't see himself as the cause of all the problems but rather that he just gave people a little nudge to help them along.

While she did give P4 Protagonist the push he needed to awaken, I think her influence also shaped his main Persona into Izanagi, since Adachi also awakens to a more sinister Izanagi, that reflects his personality and dark desires.
