"I stood on a lofty mountain and saw a gigantic man and a nother a dwarf; and I heard as it were a voice of thunder, and drew night for to hear; and He spake unto me and said: I am thou, and thou art I; and wheresoever thou mayest be I am there. In all am I scattered; and whensoever thou willest, thou gatherest Me; and gathering Me, thou gatherest Thyself"
From Epiphanious (Epiphany lolz), Adversys Haereses, xxvi 3
Doesn't it sound familiar to the way a Persona addresses itself in accordance to you?

Of course, alls I'm saying is this: that this quote is too close to what the Persona's say and the quote also does a good job of summing what a Persona really is...

The quote should be seen as very similar to the context of the discovery of the Gnous (true spirit) in the corpus hermeticum. Here, the words spoken from agathodaemon (good "daemon" within) and heard of thrice great hermes:
For thou art I, and I am thou. Whate’er I speak, may it for ever be; for that I have thy Name to guard me in my heart.
Epiphanious's writings were used to combat heresies of Gnosticism by appropriating the texts and relations and "Christianizing" them. Basically, it was the catholic origins. Claim the power of other faiths are ALL attainable in your own, and to accept that power in a watered down form is heresy.
The 'heresies' of Gnosticism are pretty much what the MC in Persona 3 is demonstrating, and what guide the wager of the Forces contending in that world.
