For those unfamiliar with the Persona World Guidance book - In Japan, back in 2001, a comprehensive encyclopedia/reference/character & demon compendium was published for the first three Persona games: Megami Ibun Roku, Tsumi, and Batsu called PERSONA WORLD GUIDANCE.

Since I'm going back to school to finish up my Bachelor's, I've decided to start up again on a scanlation project I had began last year when I finally bought a copy of the book.

I hope to have the entire book scanlated by the end of the year. Sorry there isn't much content up yet! I hope to have the entire first "Persona Chronicle" section up by the end of February if time and my schedule allows.

Neat!

I'll make sure to keep an eye on it, and thanks.

I have that. It's really one of the best official books I've ever seen.

I just got this book a few months ago after wanting it for years. DevilRy, out of curiousity, do you also own the Devil Summoner World Guide? I purchased that quite a while back and really like it.

Man, I wish we got these things in the West instead of having to rely on scanlations.

That said, I very much appreciate scanlations, so kudos and many thanks for your work.

Hojeez this is a heck of a project, but man much love for doing it. I'll be waiting to see Baofu's page! That man doesn't get much love in Japan honestly.

...where the heck did you find it sir. I've been looking for it everywhere.

^I bought it from a horrid online seller of these types of items that I honestly wouldn't recommend to anyone.

It is out of stock anyway, but like I said previously, I wouldn't recommend these guys. They royally screwed up my order, and it took 3 months before anyone would respond to my emails to resolve the issue. It wasn't a small 'oops' either. It was nearly $300.

:surprise: Oh, wow, Kakizaki that book is *ultra* rare. I've seen scans of a few pages from it somewhere floating around the net but I've never actually gotten a chance to sit down and read the whole thing. If you ever feel like scanning up some pages I'd be more than happy to translate 'em. :D

Btw, thanks for the support everybody! <3

^Sure, I could do that. The scans might not be of the greatest quality because I don't want to be too hard on the book.

If there is a particular piece of info or section you are curious about, let me know. ;)

Hmm, well, whatever you feel like really. I've only seen like two-four random pages of the DSWG so anything would be nice. :D How many pages is it, btw?

240 pages. I acquired the DSWG before the Persona one so I kind of expected the structure of the PWG to be different than it actually is. The DSWG is much more art / demon intensive than the PWG -- some of my favorite SMT art actually.

I found a seller on ebay (japan-ssdyuk) who had the DSWG, PWG, Pandaemonium demon volumes 1 and 2 and the character volume, the mighty akumajiten demon bible, and artbooks/guidebooks (tons of art) for soul hackers and maken x... he's got more too; novels based on shin megami tensei with tons of his art (original, not necessarily what we've seen in the games, and GOOD) etc. His store is called Japanese Anime Goods Store AZARASHI. His only copies of the PWG and DSWG are gone now though I'm afraid :) The PWG showed up in a few other sellers stores I think, but his was the only hit for DSWG on all of ebay...

I dropped the best 300 bucks I ever spent in one sitting on the DSWG, PWG, Pandaemonium demon volumes (the character volume was too expensive at the time and not quite as interesting to me), the demon bible, the soul hackers guide (its ~350 pages whereas the maken x is far shorter), and a novel with particularly neat pencil art that was cheap (I can't read japanese...:p). Considering the rarity of all these books it was a crazy steal (approximately 40 USD for each plus the exorbitant shipping charge for imports) Now I just need to see if my sister-in-law will translate some of the content for me, haha.

Ah, looks like AZARASHI has put up another DSWG offer (two actually; a buy now for ~30 USD that has 25 days left on it and an auction starting at 99 cents with zero bids so far with 4 days left... dunno if they are separate items or the same book listed in two different venues) Act fast and get your hands on this amazing book!!
