Do the stories of one and two connect? (newb)

Ok I'm thinking of buying the second game before I buy the first one (The second one I can most likely get offline but the first one is a b*tch to find...)

So I was wondering, do the stories connect? I do not need detail however, I just need a simple yes or no. Thank you.

Other than a few simple references, no. The two games are pretty much standalone separate products.

The stories of both games will connect only if YOU write them that way. ;)

well, a password can connect a detail in the story.....

in the end of eo1 you got a pass, you can introduce that pass, so in eo 2 your guild its remembered

I would strongly recommend you to start with the first game! I've found the second one far more difficult, like it has been designed with veterans of the first installment in mind.

In that case I suppose I should start hunting down the original, which I stupidly sold like I sometimes do when I needed money bad XD

Yeah, the first one is kinda hard to find nowadays; even moreso new, so good luck on that.

Just go with the second game since it's more widely available and easier to get. :)

Ah man EOII was such a fantastic game. I hope Dark Spire lives up to it! You really don't need EOI if you're getting its sequel. The game is improved in almost every aspect. You can go back to the first one later.

Sorta unrelated but it'd be a crime if we didn't get 7th Dragon here.
