IGN Previews Legacy of Ys

Ok now I'm getting a DS, I loved/love Ark of Naphishtim for psp, so I'll most likely give this one a shot.

Man, looks like the translation team screwed up quite a bit in this version. We who are familiar with Ys, will have quite a few things to put up with. For instance, Gorvan the bandit, Dahm, Lance Villiage, Dr. Fleah, Talf, instead of Goban, Darm, Rance, Flair, & Tarf. I know they're minor in some ways, but, just switching the l to an r, or vice versa, makes all the difference to me, not to mention gives those that are new to the Ys series, the wrong idea about the characters they're talking to, & the places they are going compared to the rest of the series in english.

I'm surprised they left Slaghf as is, but, I'm glad they did.

Forgot IIRC, they're calling the Solomon Shrine(in Japan it's Palace of Salmon), the Palace of Sarmon. I would've prefered they just call it Solomon, it sounds better.

BTW, I like you're upside down G2 Autbot symbol:D I mention it, cuz I don't think most people would even know what it is.

According to some dude on GameFAQs, this got a 7.5 from Nintendo Power. Not half-bad, considering how they destroyed Baroque with a 3.

Yeah, I'm actually DrakeWoods on there, I wish it got a higher score, but, oh well. I saw the Nintendo Power at Walmart yesterday, there's also an article about the Turbo/VC game in there!
