Famitsu news (http://www.famitsu.com/game/coming/1221015_1407.html)

"Importer NCSX has confirmed the existence of a DS port/remake of Umihara Kawase Shun Second Edition. According to the description provided by the retailer, the game is a new port “supervised by the original series programmer Sakai Kiyoshi”. Hopefully this is someone we can trust to make the inevitable touchscreen controls optional. Sakai is also contributing a new stage? It must be some stage if he’s only doing one." - tinycartridge (http://tinycartridge.com/post/70021349/umihara-kawase-ds-may-not-be-terrible)

Hand-on impressions (http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2009/11/umihara-kawase-ds/) and some interesting tidbits to people trying to download this game instead of importing (http://tinycartridge.com/post/229000293/umihara-kawase-ds-reels-in-pirates).

Is it still possible to convince people at Genterprise that there's still overseas interest in this game?

DO WANT!

I think you should e-mail Natsume, they were planning to bring over the PSP version but I don't think they could've got the bugs fixed (since it had a different publisher and developer) so they aren't bringing it over anymore, but they might be interested in this if they can contact Genterprise and make a deal.

And Atlus can get away with the "dirty" pictures. I mean, just look at Yggdra Union's bath scenes...

Edit: What's Natsume's feedback/consumer PR e-mail?

Not sure really, I only see an e-mail for gameplay questions (http://www.natsume.com/support.html).

What was the game's localized title supposed to be again?

No I haven't suggested anything to Natsume yet. The PSP version was going to be called Yumi's Odd Odyssey though.

I just e-mail Natsume as to where I might refer to inquiries about certain press releases. But hopefully I could be directed somewhere where they'll see there's still vested interest in bringing (the DS game) over here.

In case Atlus does have a chance to aquire it, I'm hoping they keep the Yumi's Odd Odyssey moniker, as I know it's sort of a proper official english name of sorts.

I just spoke with a representative at Natsume (Edit: I think he was the Vice President Graham Markay!).

Apparently, the PSP version has been put on permanent hold, but there have been no announcements regarding the DS one. However, Mr. Markay also said he has seen someone with [the DS version] around, so they're aware of its recent release in Japan. (At this point I also point out the technical issues of the PSP version.) But again he says they have plans right now and if there will be, they're sure to make an announcement of it.

So there might still be some hope for Atlus, XSeed, Ignition or some other publisher to snatch it up.
